The owner, Gabriel, was quick to respond and arrived less than 24 hours later. Very professional. Explained the causes and fixes very well. Seemed to be trying to avoid replacing any (expensive) parts, if it could be avoided. Gabriel and trainee spent about 1.5 hours at house and charged very reasonably. A few hours after they left, ice cubes were again being made, so no parts needed. Very satisfied.

After he left, I sent a video showing that it was still loud and rattling around. He came by again, this time claiming the shocks were bad--so we had to pay for four shocks, and wait for them to come in. After installing them, he ran a short rinse cycle again, and said it was fixed. By this time it was a joke--it was still rattling the exact same way and was leaking exactly the same again. It took a while to get him to come back because by now he kept saying he was sick. This time it was "oh--the drum has a hole in it and you need a new washer." What he should have done was conduct a THOROUGH analysis the FIRST time. For all of our trouble, he offered to refund most of the service fee, saying he "hates to lose money on a job." Well, WE are the ones who lost lots of money, not him. But, he never provided the check he promised. We tried a couple of times to get him to leave it, but he didn't do it. No integrity, and not enough skills and expertise to properly diagnose a problem. We've been without a washer for weeks, lost almost $400 and also have to pay $800+ for one that fits into the existing space.

"Buyers Beware" !!!!! I will never use or recommend this company to anyone. Never give them your…read morecredit card info. They steal your money. Well, how can I say the worst experience I have ever had! First of all turned away from working with a chain company to work with a local company to support my community. Many people have told me to never pay for a service ahead of time because the company will end up screwing you. Will, this is exactly what happened. I gave my credit card information to a representative at J & B Appliance of Coastal Carolina to set up and confirm an appointment for last Friday, June 5, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The appointment was to come out and diagnose my problem, which I authorized at $145.00. If there was a problem, the $145 would go towards the repair of the issue. I asked the office representative to have the tech contact me when they are on the way. They agreed that it would happen. End of call. Well, on the morning of my appointment at 8:00 am, the doorbell rang. It was Sears. I had cancelled that appointment two days before because I wanted to support a local company. I informed the representative that we had cancelled a couple days before, okay, and he left, and I knew that I had paid my money to J & B Appliance of Coastal Carolina. Well, my daughter, wife, and I waited for the J & B Appliance Tech to come out and fix our Whirlpool oven. We waited, waited, and waited, then we got a text that he was on the way. Finally! Then, not long after, we get a text from tech. that he had cancelled our appointment. Okay Why? We, again, daughter, wife, and I are at home waiting; we have already turned away the Sears rep and also paid for the J & B Appliance of Coastal Carolina to come out. We want the oven fixed. The tech. Never showed up to the appointment. I called the office because I wanted to know what was going on. The office stated that I had cancelled the appointment while my whole family is waiting for the tech to come and fix the oven. No one in my family cancelled the appointment. The J & B Appliance of Coastal Carolina Tech had cancelled the appointment. Then this J & B Appliance of Coastal Carolina Company charges me. $77.39 because I canceled when neither I nor anyone in my house had. I will never use or recommend this company to anyone. Never give them your credit card info. They steal your money.

Fulford To The Rescue!…read more Some friends have been staying at our beach cottage since June 29 without a functioning downstairs air conditioning unit. The company that Installed both units four years ago came on June 19, gave their diagnosis, drafted the funds from our credit cards, and did nothing. We're now seeking a return of the funds paid to the other F- rated company. Today after calling Fulford, they are going to order a new motor for the compressor fan, install an external fan that will allow the unit to function until the motor arrives, and they will fix it! Our friends have endured the heat, but until their scheduled July 9 departure - they will be cool and comfortabl. Thank you Fulford!

We had damper issues with our unit, and I already had a new damper on hand. The technician came…read moreout, confirmed he also believed the damper was the problem, and said he could replace it. After installing it, he came downstairs to tell me everything was working and that he just needed to adjust some wires. About ten minutes later, I could tell something wasn't right. Sure enough, he came back down and said, "Well, the damper blew when I adjusted the wires." He stumbled through an explanation and then said that he and his manager now believed the issue was actually the zone board, and that he would need to get a quote for that. Then he added, "By the way, can I take this damper with me?"--the same damper I paid for--because they "haven't really dealt with these types of systems before" and needed to do some research. Later that day, I received an invoice for $240: * $125 service fee * $90 labor fee This was for a visit where the technician damaged the part I purchased, fixed nothing, and took my damper with him. The next day, I received a quote for the supposed new issue--$680: * $45 return service fee * $383 for a zone board * $210 for another damper So not only were they planning to charge me to come back out to fix something they clearly didn't understand, they were also charging me for a new damper to replace the one they destroyed. I called and spoke with the manager to express my dissatisfaction and requested a refund for the $90 labor charge, considering the technician accomplished nothing and actually made the problem worse. The manager refused. Here's the kicker: I had Odyssey come out afterward. They tested everything thoroughly and confirmed the zone board is completely fine. They replaced the damper, and the system is now working perfectly. They charged me $300 total for the part, service fee, and labor. Fulford Heating and Air was an absolutely terrible experience. They clearly only care about the dollar rather than quality service and their customers. I would never recommend them to anyone.
