Great community! Great coaches. Awesome workouts. I have been at Kivnon for over 5 years now, I love training here.

Working out with some of the coaches!

I've been a member of this Crossfit Gym for over a year. I've been to other gyms around and I love how welcoming Crossfit Kivnon is! All of the coaches care about your technique, form, goals, and development! (I can't say the same about the other Crossfit gyms that I've been to.) The community aspect of Crossfit is one that I really like and it drives and pushes me to do better! Theres a good amount of space here and plenty of equipment. If you're worried about "not being in shape enough to do Crossfit", Get that out of your head! Everyone is different and at different starting points. I have always felt very comfortable coming here and asking questions! I highly recommend everyone to come and check out Crossfit Kivnon! You can start off with a week free to test it out as well! Doesn't get any better than that!

The week free pass is something I couldn't pass up and find excuses not to give this place a try. The instructors are very helpful and this place seems like a big family. It isn't all serious, they joke and they constantly lift one another up. Being that I'm not in shape, I was nervous I couldn't keep up but this is something u do at your own speed and own weight with no pressure to keep up with folks who have been doing this for years. Also I can bring my kids for free, which is a huge plus from the kid membership I would pay at a gym where they would scream and cry if they were locked in a strange room not being able to see me. I'm so glad I found this place.

It's a little far from me in the South Bay but I knew I had to try it. For parking, the lot is shared with other businesses so when I got there, it was full and parked in the lot down the street. I wouldn't suggest to park in front of the NXPT if it's the games classes since we're using wall balls near cars. When I found the class on classpass for Wednesday night, the name of it was a little confusing because it said "OCR/Games/Hyrox/Deka" so I didn't really know what that meant until I showed up to the class to learn that depending on when the next event is, that is the type of training they're doing. So my class focused on the Hyrox because the Anaheim event is in five weeks. Hannibal is the trainer and he was friendly with a quick introduction and had to jump on a call before class started. I asked around to sign the waiver and got someone to help me. I wanted to make sure that didn't slow me down starting the class on time. Thankfully I do strength training and hot yoga outside of this class so I felt I could keep up but having been to new classes before, they seem to take care of newbies with just a few more instructions. I ended up figuring it out and maybe the style of this gym is no hand holding but I ended up asking other attendees in the class about the structure. Most of the moves in this class were standard but when it came to Sled, I wasn't sure in my form. I'd suggest when they get newbies in these games classes to ask them if they've done anything like this before and if not, show them the proper technique of the moves. That helps in the actual events since form matters and also prevents injuries. Overall, it was a good experience and I'll be back!

I enjoy the structure of the class and that coaches will demonstrate alternative exercises. The gym itself is clean and everyone does their part to keep it that way. I didn't know if I would like the whole group workout or partner but I've grown to like it. One of the perks is their water dispenser always so clean and cold at the end of a workout. Another cool feature is the performance 360 application where I can track my weight count per exercise and reps and for being only 1 month I am seeing some progress and also better energy levels. So to me it has been worth the investment I will continue to attend Try a free class and take advantage of first month deal and seek those gains!!

As someone who has been…read moredoing group fitness training for a few years now at a variety of gyms, I have to say that P360 is the best gym that I have ever been to. This is the first time that I can honestly say that I have seen not only an improvement in my physique, but an overall improvement in my cardiovascular health and overall improvement in my strength and endurance. The coaches at this gym have legitimate experience in coaching. The coaches here take their work really seriously and make a serious effort to correct form during the classes, and ensure that you are performing the movement correctly. They don't mess around, and make the environment so welcoming and comfortable. P360 even gives you access to nutrition resources by their nutrition coaches. The workouts are strategically planned out, usually up to a couple weeks out in advance. Very organized, to ensure that no matter what day you go, you will be getting a legitamte workout. I love that on the app you can see what the workouts are going to be for the week and it doesn't matter which P360 location you end up being a member at, the workouts are going to be the exact same for all the locations. And if you are someone who is new to fitness, new to using the kind of weights and barbells that are used here, there's no need to be intimidated by it. There are people of ALL ages at this gym and ALL kinds of fitness levels. They make it easy to modify some of the workouts if you have some limitations. Prior to becoming a member at P360, I was going to a lot of random studios off of ClassPass. So I feel like I have a lot of group fitness gyms to compare it too. 10/10 recommend P360.

One of the biggest advantages is being able to get in, get my workout done, and get out without dealing with long waits for machines. I visit several YMCA locations depending on where my errands take me, and this location has always been a convenient stop for an hour-long workout. Unfortunately, I've had two separate interactions with the same front desk employee that left me feeling uncomfortable and unwelcome. About a week ago, I was sitting in the pool area taking an emergency phone call. The area was completely empty, and the facility wasn't scheduled to close for roughly another 40 minutes. The front desk employee approached me and abruptly stated, "We are closing, I need to lock this area." To be clear, I had no issue with the area being closed or needing to leave. My concern was entirely with the delivery. As many of us know, it's often not what you say but how you say it. A simple, "Excuse me, we're preparing to close this area and I need to lock it up," would have been perfectly fine. Instead, the tone and facial expression came across as unnecessarily harsh. I gathered my belongings and left without argument, but even the person on the emergency call immediately asked, "Who was that?" after hearing the interaction. When I explained what had happened, they also commented on how rude the tone sounded. I've been a longtime YMCA member and have visited many locations over the years, and I've never left feeling the way I did that day. Then during a more recent visit, I brought my two teenage sons with me. After scanning my membership card, the same employee stopped me and asked, "Who do we have here with you?" while looking directly at my membership profile. My sons are listed on my account, and their photos are visible on my profile. I answered with their names, but she repeated the question louder. I then repeated their names louder as well, and only then did she respond with, "Okay." The interaction felt unnecessarily confrontational, especially in front of my children. They are 15 and 17 years old and more than capable of confirming their own names if verification was needed. The exchange felt awkward and embarrassing, and even my sons immediately asked me afterward, "What's wrong with her?" I honestly didn't have an answer. I want to be fair and acknowledge that I don't know this employee personally, nor do I know what may have been going on in her day. However, after two separate encounters, I do believe there is room for growth in how members are approached and spoken to. Sometimes when people become comfortable in a position, customer service can become mechanical, and the human element gets lost. I would also be dishonest if I didn't acknowledge how the interactions made me feel. As an African-American woman, I couldn't help but wonder whether there was an underlying bias influencing the way I was being treated. I hope that is not the case. However, the contrast between these private interactions and the otherwise welcoming atmosphere of the YMCA left me questioning whether I was being viewed differently than other members. With that said, every other staff member I've encountered has been kind, helpful, and accommodating. The YMCA itself continues to be a wonderful community space. I love seeing both the older and younger generations working out together, participating in programs, and building a sense of community. That's one of the things that makes this location special. Overall, I still appreciate this YMCA and everything it offers. However, these experiences have made me reconsider when I visit. Going forward, I may choose to come earlier in the day or adjust my schedule altogether if these interactions continue. I genuinely hope this feedback is received in the spirit it's intended--not as an attack, but as an opportunity for improvement. Great facilities are built not only on equipment and programs, but also on how members are made to feel when they walk through the door.
