Great coaching and programming and all of it is scaleable. So many other ancillary services immediately available to you as well including nutrition, personal training and in-house physical therapy. Best CrossFit Box in Georgia!!! I'm a research guru when it comes to planting my roots. I'm also a Yelp Elite and you can trust my reviews everywhere. I've been to almost 15 different CrossFit Boxes around the Metro Atlanta area and CrossFit Identity is just better. I've also personally been a member of 2 other Boxes in Atlanta where I had uncomfortable situations in both due to improper ownership and management. So, that's where I'll start; the ownership and leadership. Organizations that thrive always have leaders at the top that either create a culture and community that all can feel welcomed in or they create a cancer with their inner circle and negative attitudes (mic drop). Brandon Wallin & Eric Wright are the Co-Owners of CrossFit Identity and they are the welcoming waft of kindness that hits you in the face as soon as the front door opens up! I mean, it's like they have some type of notification alert in their mind that as soon as the door opens up they greet you with a huge welcome! You don't even have time to be an non-morning person. It's honestly super refreshing and every single coach and member at the gym are impacted creating an amazing environment, culture and community in general that you are fired up to be a part of! The training and programming are phenomenal which comes from Squat Mafia which is another well known program in Atlanta. Plenty of equipment and all is clean. There are lots of top Games, Regional and Open Athletes at this Box so it's motivating to know your always going to pretty much get beat lol. All in all I would personally stop your search and do a free trail at Identity to see what I'm talking about. If I loved within a 30 minute driving range of Identity I'd have a hard time leaving to go somewhere in closer driving range. Get there and get fit! read more

Amazing experience from start to finish. Google Maps was pretty spot on for finding the location. I was a little confused on where exactly the front entrance was. There was a guy I kind of bumped into and he HAPPILY showed me the way ... introduced himself and then me once we got into the gym. I met with Hannah. We talked a bit about my fitness level, I signed the waiver, and she walked me through the routine ( all before classes started). People started coming in, I would say between 15-20 for the afternoon 4 o clock. We stood in a circle, introduced ourselves, and answered the question of the day. Although the temperature was cold it was a very warm environment. Everyone was generally happy to be there and even talking of pie making. It really appeared to be close knit community that was welcoming to newbies. We did the warm up and practiced the exercises. Then we got to work ... the chatter decreased and the heavy breathing and movement began. This day was partners. I was partnered with a guy who had over 15 years of CrossFit experience. SO INTIMIDATING (but really only in my mind). He was so good and at first I was just worried I was messing up his time (which I was) but he was SO genuinely encouraging and constantly reassuring me that it was essentially about me getting in a good workout. I finished ... last. But literally as I was running my last (whatever you call it) everyone was like "almost there Jackie" "by the time you come back you'll be done", " almost finished". Although I felt like I was done done, I felt like I couldn't let them down. Not to mention they knew my name, and I only said it once out loud and a few other times when I introduced myself individually. I have not worked out in months and CrossFit was definitely more than challenging. And my intention was to try out other gyms. But I found the one for me. I decided to try out Crossfit after doing Orangetheory for a year and I could not have chosen a better gym. The On Ramp Program does such a good job of teaching the basics in a way that isn't overwhelming, and really shows how important proper form is. Brandon, Lawson, Hayden and the other coaches are all so so good at what they do, making sure everyone has proper form and pushing people to better themselves. In CrossFit, you really have to find the right gym. If you're not careful, you can be stuck working out with a bunch of aggressive meatheads preaching to you about the benefits of a paleo diet. CrossFit Identity is NOT a gym like that. In fact, it's wonderful. The environment is supportive, not aggressive. Everybody is striving to do his or her best, but nobody is attempting to beat anybody else. The sense of community is palpable, but not cult-like. Everyone really likes everyone else here, and it's clear that people come often and get to know each other. These guys are also really careful about making sure everyone has the proper form when lifting. Some of the trainers have degrees in physical therapy and others are simply super experienced (one is even a professional athlete). They don't push you to take more weight than you can handle or to work until the point of injury, though they will encourage you to keep going, even when your body seems to be rebelling. Most important, these people are just plain old nice. I really enjoy going, even though it means getting up at 5 a.m. most days, because I like to see the morning crew. I would highly recommend CrossFit Identity to anyone looking for a good community of people who like to get in shape and stay fit. I just started with Crossfit Identity about 4 months ago. I had done similar boot camp type workout but had never worked with weights. This gym has trainers that are knowledgeable, and they don't care if your a veteran or novice, it is really a no judgement zone. Cant say enough good things, I have dropped close to 15-20 pounds and am stronger than I have been in a long time. Forget the myths you have heard about CF, maybe it is true somewhere else but not here . Be careful, you might get addicted! read more

I left an incredible CrossFit box in NY when I moved to Atlanta and it was extremely important to me to find a new box that was a good as my last one. I've dropped in at a lot of boxes around the country because I travel a lot for work and not all boxes are created equal. CrossFit Identity is as good as it gets. The coaches are knowledgeable, welcoming, and provide the encouragement and/or tough love that individual athletes need. There is no one-size fits all approach. The space is HUGE, especially for a New York girl. I really can't say enough great things about the members. I moved down here without knowing anyone, and within one week I had friends. I've lived in Atlanta for 3 months now and I absolutely love my CFID family. read more

My girlfriend and I dropped into this gym while on vacation (we miss you Crossfit Gotham, NY) and we were immediately greeted by A Coach. From there we were meeting every athlete there. We went through the workout prior, even though everyone was experienced-- still got some tips and tricks from the instructors, regardless. The workout was good and we felt gratified at the end of it. The second part of the workout we had to carry an object "oddly" 1000 meters and it went through a path around the gym. It was a cool running path, with old nature paths through railroad tracks. The gym layout was superb and plenty of equipment for everyone. Nice, outgoing athletes made us feel like part of the team. Definitely going back if we visit Atlanta again. read more

By far the best Crossfit gym I've been a member of. After moving around the East and Northeast side of Atlanta, I found this gym a couple of months ago and couldn't be more pleased. The facility has more than enough equipment and space for even the most crowded classes. The programming is top notch with even the best athletes participating in them Daily unlike most other boxes where the best athletes follow their own programming most days. The coaches always pay close attention to form ensuring newer athletes get the necessary attention to learn the movements. Lastly, there's a genuine team feel among all members that encourages better daily performances and inclusiveness in extracurriculars as well. I have truly enjoyed this gym. I knew about this gym for about a year and would come here and there. They always made me feel welcome. Since Late March I have become a part of this gym and have enjoyed working with the coaches and the other gym goers. I have lost 40lbs and have increased my cardio level by leaps and bounds. As a former power lifter, I enjoy that there is a strength component with almost all of the workouts. The WOD are fun and enjoyable so I dont hate doing cardio :) read more

IDs coaches are its strongest feature. They are passionate about crossfit - they truly love the sport and it shows. They are all incredible coaches, very knowledgeable, and pay attention to you during your workouts. They call you out when using bad form and help you scale appropriately when you just aren't sure how much weight you should do. In addition the facility is first rate with plenty of space and a great rig. They offer a large number of classes, private PT time for 1:1 if you want it and of course, free parking! The BEST CrossFit gym right here at CrossFit Identity. I have been a member of a few different CF gyms over the past 10+ years and this gym is hands-down the best one I've experienced.
