Will updating months later the steam room today on Easter day at around 7:30 was absolutely filthy and smelled like a sewer. It took probably 45 minutes for anybody to do anything which again didn't help me very much. I went into the sauna and it's similarly filthy. By looking through the spaces between the cedar planks you can see Band-Aids and other crap there. Just really dirty for something we pay so much for. There is also no direct way to contact corporate about this. The offer was to talk locally to the concierge but I guess that's really the problem isn't it. What we talking locally do if this is how they maintain the club anyway. It's just terrible that I have to do this every time you know every other month it's this way. read more

I joined this gym a few weeks ago, and so far, I'm loving every minute of it. The place is constantly clean, no matter what time I show up. I work out at different times each day and never have trouble getting a full session in no one's just standing around or hogging the equipment. The trainers are clearly knowledgeable, and as a former trainer myself, I can tell they genuinely enjoy what they do. The studios at this branch for classes are really well sized to a point that the classes don't fill up as quickly. I usually take classes on weekday evenings and love that there is enough space to spread out from the neighbors. I have also noticed that they have enough equipment to a point that you don't have to wait on someone to finish. I also like that there is a covered deck you can park your car at especially on hot summer days. Overall a pretty nice branch with some shops and restaurants conveniently located near it. read more

Trash. The locker rooms are always a mess. The bathrooms are always out of paper towels and/or soap. The hand sanitizer stations throughout the building are always empty. Other members hardly ever put the weights back where they belong if they even go so far as to re-rack them at all and many won't even bother to wipe things down when they finish with them. They have some nice Elinko Olympic bars, but people will abuse them in ways in which they were not designed to be used. As a result, I doubt any of the bearings in them aren't ruined. And for what they charge?.... wow. Finally, if you value your health and safety do NOT work with any of their trainers. I've seen/heard one or two that I would say might have known what they were doing. The rest? It's borderline criminal what I saw. Having someone walk a squat BACKWARDS into a rack is not only dangerous but stupid. There's not a trainer worth their salt that would have a client do this in a one on one session let alone in a busy group class in a fast pace. when working with a supposed trainer like this it's not an "if" you get injured but when. I only went here a few times a month out of convenience. I'd rather deal with the traffic and go to my REAL gym than put up with this overpriced trash can. read more

The coaches are great but the facilities are not well maintained. It's not unusual for their to not be enough towels on an early morning before 10am. I also had something stolen from me. I left a brand new shirt in a bathroom and a patron took it instead of turning it in. I complained and while the woman at thr front desk did ask around.. it just speaks to the quality of the gym if people there would steal. The equipment is usually disorganized, especially the weights and in some cases I've seen where the group classes don't have enough supplies. Not sure why this place only has three starts but this specific lifetime location is AMAZING! I've been a member for a month and throughout that month I've had enough time to get a feel and fall in love! If you like luxury/finer things you will see the value joining. However, if you're someone who doesn't really care for luxury this may not be the place for you! Since joining, I've had an awesome intake session with Lindsey, a fantastic and eye opening nutrition session with Olivia, I've gotten a rejuvenating 90min massage from Nikki with excellent customer service from Ms. Q in the spa! I've taken one of the funnest dance classes HANDS DOWN instructed by DJay, and I've also enjoyed the staff not only being inviting and welcoming into the Lifetime family but also just showing continued support and interest in my experience while in their facility! The front desk people know me by name when I'm coming and leaving, Kyle who set me up speaks every time he sees me, the ladies room attendants are super nice and helpful with all the complementary toiletries that you have access to if needed and everyone is good about answering questions I have as I'm still getting settled in my new gym. What made me fall in love was the campus! It's beautifully designed with a one stop shop in mind and well kept. On the first floor you've got the front desk, full service salon and spa, cafe, daycare, intake offices, locker rooms which have complimentary towels and toiletries. Sauna, steam room, bathroom stalls, changing stalls, and showers. 2 indoor pools, 2 indoor hot tubs, the large divided outdoor pool WITH a splash park and water slides for the kiddos. On the second floor is all your free weights and machinery. As well as your studios! There are cycle studios, yoga studios, Pilates studios, and dance studios for multi purpose. A second front desk and a few intake offices. You also have this like free space for boxing, its so cool. On the second floor you also have the testing lab because they do metabolic assessments and other testing (which I cant wait for them to bring back) the second floor is where a lot of the group training, personal training, etc. Happens! The second floor is the life of the party tons of TVs, overhead music, and just a undeniable fit vibe lol. Lastly, the third floor has two full size basketball courts, racquetball and squash courts, tons of rooftop space to work out outside of you want or even just grab one of their outdoor seating sets to work because there's wifi all over the building with workspaces for those WFH or WFA folks who want to stick around after their workouts! I can only speak for this location as I have a membership and go at least 3X/week at different times so I've seen different shifts/crew and the quality is consistent! Another perk is their hours, though they cut back for covid it's still the longest I've seen 4am-11pm weekdays and 4am-10Pm weekends (normally 4am to midnight 7days) All in all, This gym is literally the best, the cleanest, and the most maintained inside and out I've ever been to. Better Options For The Price... For the record, I am not a member, but I have visited this Lifetime location and others a handful of times, with other members under a guest pass or day pass. Let me start with the check-in process. The line was almost out the door with people checking in, and surrounding the assistance desk for help. When using a guest pass of another member, they make you put in your contact information, sign a contract, and share your interests and likes (when it comes to working out). I am still receiving marketing emails after unsubscribing multiple times. The staff at the desk certainly weren't the nicest people I'd come across, but they weren't overly mean in any way, just very cutthroat. I had to pay a number of fees to use the outdoor pool even though I already paid for a pass. My friend also joined me with a day pass and did not have to pay those fees (they were not a Lifetime member). The locker rooms weren't up to my standards of cleanliness. Some of the showers were missing shower heads, and there was hair all over the floor, along with a couple of bathing suits and used diapers. The shower products are okay, but not the worst. The indoor aquatics facilities were extensive and not crowded, but the floor had puddles of mud everywhere, and it was quite slippery. There are no tennis courts or outdoor facilities besides the pool. It's certainly not the worst gym out there, in fact it's far from it. But for the money there are other options in the Atlanta area. First things first, it is extremely difficult to get pictures of the inside of a gym without appearing to be taking pictures of the patrons inside. I've tried my best to not include any pictures of any patrons and was thus unable to capture any pictures of the sauna, both inside and out, the hot-tub, or the two full-size basketball courts. Secondly, the price. This is an expensive gym. Being in Sandy Springs and being marked as a Diamond Club makes the monthly dues that much more high-end. Well, what's the difference between the demarcations of Diamond vs. Platinum vs. Gold? Honestly, not much. The Diamond locations are a bit more exclusive, typically located in more high-end areas, and offer the ability to go to any other gym location or type. In addition, the Diamond locations are kept cleaner and are more prone to machine upgrades. This gym is definitely vibrant and teeming with activities. They have very flexible hours, being closed from midnight to 4:00 AM only. The gym is extremely clean on the inside and there is ample parking both within the deck and directly adjacent to the gym entrance. There are two swimming pools, one indoors and one outdoors. The one outdoors has a giant slide similar to one found at water parks. On the third level of the gym there are two full size basketball courts and a plethora of squash courts. The free weights and machines are located on the second floor, in addition to the cardio equipments which it was noted all have their own individual televisions. The first floor has the locker rooms, which flow easily to the indoor and outdoor pools. Inside the locker rooms are razors for shaving and other toiletries for convenience. In addition, towels are complementary and are placed throughout the locker room. The first floor also has a full end cafe with Peets Coffee and smoothies available for purchase. Overall, a very nice gym with all the amenities you could ask for. Is it worth the additional premium? I'm not sure, but if you're in the market for a high end gym in Atlanta, I would definitely recommend looking into this location. read more

I travel to different areas of the country for business. I have been a LTF member for some time now and always compare - contrast LTF facilities. This facility although clean is NOT at the caliber of other identical price point LTF facilities. There are many weight machines missing which are available at other lowest price point LTF facilities. LTF has a consistency issue which I've addressed with corporate (Minnesota). This review is based on a drop-in. I have a good membership in Texas and I had a free drop in to this location. This is definitely upgraded compared to the gold that I go to regularly. The staff is very very pleasant. From the receptionist to the children's area and beyond. The childcare was impressive. They were actually engaged and interacting with the children and the fellow that was singing with all the kids gladly welcomed my 1 year old in and she had a great time in there. The bathrooms and locker area were clean when I went. The gym itself had everything kept clean, no problems with the equipment. I had a hair cut, blow dry and style for a wedding I was going to and Brittany did an awesome job, my curls held up well through the humidity. I stupidly put my membership on hold when I went to cancel...they told me If I wanted to come in periodically I could till I went back in active status. 11 months later when I went in to do a yoga class, I received major attitude from the manager stating they no longer do that 25x11 months , 1 yoga class hmmmmmm So I cancel my membership. They charged me the following month. They claim they didn't receive my form even though I filled it out and handed it to the manager. So I spoke with my bank and had to get a new debit. They continue to charge 25 then their new higher rate fee the following 2 months with multiple harrassing ensilsrach day. When I spoke with corporate they had major attitude and said well if you can't prove it you owe us the money (I first spoke with them after the next $25) Now I've been sent to collections for almost $300 I've spoken to several people and feel completely bullied. i've been a life time member since 2008 even before this location opened up - diamond level for about 6 years now. this is not my home club where i love front desk staff, trainers, ops personnel, fitness instructors. i sometimes come to this location because of the hours and the group class offerings. however, i received the worst customer service and treatment. as soon as i walked in, a manager level staff at the front desk gave me an attitude and was super rude because i brought in guests (to use my passes). it just ruined the whole experience here. don't think i'll come anymore and i definitely won't be spending any more money here. it's unacceptable to treat anyone this way, no matter how young i look or because i'm a minority. smh. read more

Updated to ask how hard would it have you been to put all the dumbbells in order when you moved them into a corner and you said to reach out but gave me no contact. It's a waste to talk to management at the club since they don't do much and just give excuses for the deficiencies of the club. ----------------------------------------------------- Definitely would not call this a diamond club with how it had fallen apart over the years. What was once a great place to come work out it has turned into a joke. Management has decided they are going to focus on group classes so they decided to move the free weights that are used more than anything into a corner where everyone is climbing over each other to use the equipment. While what was once a large are for free weights is taken up by squat racks which are empty 90% of the time. Another shame is the conditions of the locker rooms. If you can even get one since it seems that meme era keep them locked when they leave so they have it the next time. Always odd when you go the the gym and it's pretty much empty yet there are no lockers left. It's a roll of the dice wether there is going to be any soap or shampoo in the showers since they are refilled once a week and then the few that are full have broken pumps. With showers that are cleaned possibly less with the amount of hair to be found in them like Sasquatch was in there. The quality of the amenities they purchase is also dropped dramatically. I'm afraid to use the q-tips which feel like they're going to break off in my ear with the slightest amount of pressure which are mixed in with the cotton balls so it's likely if you use one someone has rummaged through the whole container to get one. Then for something as simple as towels I would be better going to target and picking one up before I shower since the odds of clean towels being on the shelf are slim but your guaranteed to see piles of used ones. Then the bathroom. For a facility with as many member you could use a bit more work keeping the toilets clean and stocked. Half the time there isn't any toilet paper to be found which when there you're always risking your finger going though that your forced to get a handful of the sandpaper towels to wipe yourself. Then the cafeteria. They've raised prices in everything yet quality has gotten worse. It took them 3 months to fix the drink refrigerator so your only options were an overpriced smoothie or warm soy milk. Kinda sad when your average Crunch Fitness or even LA Fitness which are a quarter of the price are in better shape and cleaner that a LifeTime "Diamond" Club. read more

Still no word from management, just a text from the poor trainer who is also not benefitting from the piss poor management/business practices of this facility. This is still the worst customer service I've ever experienced. Will update when I see the charges reversed. UPDATE 9/24/18: Still no word from said manager, after we were promised an update by end of day. Review posted 9/23/18: This place is a scam. We are out $1000 dollars for un-used, un-requested services and months of headache. Sequence of events: 1. Signed up for membership and 4 personal training sessions as part of a sign-up deal. We were told we'd be asked about renewals on the 3rd or 4th session and were not. 2. Charged $425 for an "auto-renewal" of 4 more personal training sessions that we did not ask for. Okay- that's fine, just fix it. 3. Called to cancel auto-renewal above. Were told that ONLY the personal training manager can cancel/reverse charges. 5. It has been A MONTH and we are still being given the run around. No calls back, and John has not been available at the gym for the past month to reconcile the mistake. 6. Charged another $425 for the second "auto-renewal" of 4 more personal training sessions. To date, have completed 4 sessions which we were happy to pay for, but we have been charged for 12 total. 8 sessions we have requested to cancel, for $850 dollars. 7. Finally had to go to the gym location on a Sunday 9/23 to find John, who told us lies that "his team" had told him about explaining the auto-renewals, and calling us back to explain. 8. We are told John will call us back tomorrow 9/24, after he asks his team if they called us back to explain. How do you explain the unreturned phone calls, and the $850 dollars we were charged for products/services we did not request nor use? How do you explain being charged a SECOND renewal feewhen we didn't even use the first renewal? We have been waiting for this to be reconciled for a month and haven't once threatened to cancel the membership which at this point it's clear we are warranted. Do not run a business this way, and don't put your paying customers' word against your inept team member's word. The fact remains that we were charged twice for services we didn't use. Get back to people in a timely manner and pay attention to your customers' experience. It's a nice gym, service needs to match that. read more

I HATE this location. I was a member, but I didn't really go and was a waste ( I had higher hopes than what I wanted to give). The work out space wasn't bad at all. The spa is excellent, and the pool as well. I just didn't like the management. I still don't. It sucks because this is the closest location to my house, and I love the eucalyptus spa after a good work out. 1. Canceling my membership was a headache...I had to jump through hoops, and they just pushed me to the next person and the next saying that a different manager can cancel accounts. 2. Wanted to give them a second chance. I registered to get emails to get updates and etc. That's when the crazy calls came. I got the generic email about scheduling to meet, but I let them know I had already been a member and was just looking into it again. They nagged and nagged me to come in, finally, I agreed and tried to be as polite as possible by saying I don't want a fuss, I just might pay for the day and see how it goes. 3. 2 hours before I go to "meet" with the danged recruiter i get a few phone calls. ( I don't end to answer unknown numbers). Then I get a call from Greece. Only answered it because I knew I had family visiting there at that time. It was someone at LIFETIME!!! Bombarding me with questions and bluntly said. " You can't come for a trail, you have to pay." Naturally, I was thrown off. I told them yea, I know and let them know I sent an email discussing all this. ( Which I really don't think ANYONE reads emails there, I had sent multiple emails asking things and never got a response.) But then they just hung up on me. It's all rainbows and sunshine until you try to cancel. Left the manager 4 voicemails and no response over a 2 week period. And yes I've stopped by and told them I wanted to cancel. Signed a cancellation request form. Was contacted by a member, was told about the 30 day policy which I knew about and was fine with. Was told it was taken care of. Never told me I needed to stop by and sign anything. I would be surcharged 9 days of the next month - was fine with that. Next month comes along, billed the full amount. Called the same guy I spoke with back and said I didn't come in as I was instructed to do- I was NEVER told this or else I would have - considering I pass by their offices when I go to the gym. Some interesting things he said to me: - Our convos are not recorded so there is no way to prove he failed to tell me to come in I did call the customer service line and Jarena was wonderful. I have the epitome of what you call a love-hate relationship with this Diamond location. I started off at Sugarloaf which for the price at the time was quite a deal but ultimately the commute just became too much and I talked myself into Diamond Level/SS to save on gas and increase my workout frequency. Far as I'm concerned, I prefer the Gold/Sugarloaf location where parking is marginally better and there are somehow less kids. Even though Sandy Springs is the most expensive locale, I find there is very little separating it from Sugarloaf (which has a rock-climbing wall btw) and it can get pretty crowded in 2015. This lends itself to terrible parking except for weekends. Client Service is OK nothing to write home about and I tried Lifecafé once with little satisfaction. Nonetheless the Sandy Springs location is very clean (there's always cleaning staff on duty) and the patrons are respectful and polite. The classes are great especially the dance class by DJ which makes me and others very happy. The spa services at Sugarloaf had better skilled staff but both locations have good discounts on premium hair care products. Other SS/Diamond Pros: Lots of events, active private FB page, high-speed Wi-Fi and great area for shopping before or after workout. Summary: Until I can find something better I'll keep my membership here. But would love to see CS enhancement and more perks for Diamond Level. Also if I had kids I would rate this place 5 stars, it's exceptional in that sense! For those who keep asking about a pool, yes. Life Time Sandy Springs, a/k/a Club 100 has improved slightly although cleanliness has taken a nosedive and quite a few of the men's lockers have been inoperable for about a year now and some of the filthy lockers haven't been touched in about the same amount of time. I guess times got tough and they hired even cheaper workers. A Tank has been added as well as a few other key pieces, but more TechnoGym should really be here since this is a Diamond Club. Even Platinum Clubs in Texas and North Carolina have a better spread of equipment than Sandy Springs! Honestly, if you're familiar with Concourse Athletic, then you'll understand the original equipment selection--it was to directly mirror and compete (albeit slightly) with them. Energy at this club is still extremely low, but not as bad as it used to be. I still feel like I'm an Energizer Bunny compared to the 263 year olds meandering around. As for the free training session you get when signing up; use it carefully because 50% of the session will be a guilt trip as to why you MUST purchase a 10 or 20 pack of sessions. I'd never use them because I know how they operate. If you honestly NEED guidance, then buy five sessions and then fly solo. My updated review and higher rating is, in part, attributed to three former employees at this location that were directly interfering with my membership. When my family asked if we could use the club and try it out, we were told yes both in Chicago and here in Atlanta. We received a trial for a week. We came on 2 occasions to try it out, before paying for the expensive membership. It would make sense for us to try it out for more than five minutes before signing up for a family membership!! Right? Well we got there on the second day of a week trial and told we could not enter. We had kids with us and everything packed. This facility is definitely NOT the judge free zone. LOL The management believes in a hostile environment with bullying. They do not value customers or associates over 40 and much less 50 years of age. It is a place that has a pretty package but once you peel back the layers you get an empty, un-empathetic, egocentric vibe from the management team and that carries all the way through to the core of this location. This is the company that jumped on the "lets make it look like we care about soldiers but not know the definition and meaning to PTSD or Complex PTSD", "lets make it look like we care about the member's kids" or finally "lets make it look like we care about those who just entered in to loose weight and become healthy." This is a place that hates anything different or struggling. Most of all, this company has a major hate for any age group above the millennial age group. While they carry a smile and friendly sales look on the outside, on the inside it is an ugly facility full of the bullies and the brainless. Support your small business entrepreneurs and seek out independent yoga instructor. Don't be ashamed to use the less "pretty" gyms.
