The only complaint I have is that the pool is always cold. Summer and winter. I do not feel like it is heated at all.

ALL GYM RATS. Quick…read morelittle summary about my self, I'm 23 years old. I love the gym more than life it's self and true gym rats understand :) more on the bodybuilding side, and I been working out for 6+ years been to many gyms all around the states. I'll list the pros and cons about most La Fitness's I have been to! Pros- -Beginner to intermediate lifters. -Respectful staff (Some locations but most) -saunas are clean!, bathrooms are clean! Showers are clean! -Gym is usually clean, with most lockers being available for your Personal use, lock pads and boxes for free to use in most and simple to use for smaller important items, wallet, AirPod case, keys etc. -Most equipment works 90% out of 10%. -Peers typically aren't rude per say most stick to them selves. Cons (I know y'all are waiting for these) -Biggest con is weights are typically not in order, from free weights ex:Dumb bells, free plates etc. -Biggest dumbbell I have seen at the locations I went to in the past are 110# I think. -Hit or miss with crowds always check the TIME! Of when you're going! Of course if you're use to gyms you know the usual time of most when crowded -Because I say beginner to intermediate lifters this also means a beginner to intermediate respect I'm the environment you're in. -No there are not bully's but I will say from all the years of working out I have truly seen some odd things haha of course from the peers. -The 10% equipment that is down or messing up are usually some cable machines, and electric like cardio equipment, etc. -People do hog the equipment and sit for extensive amounts of time, but you know what the saying is( If you need one piece of equipment for that body and you cant with out it, you're doing it wrong) -saunas can be packed and you do per day have dramatic people in there when you try to concentrate. (Screaming, jumping, slinging the MINT OIL EVERYWHERE!) -Supplements ARE WAY OVER PRICED.(Know you're knowledge before ever purchasing any where and never by from a gym well I say most times. -Personal trainers and I say this because I'm a certified PT went to school for ISSA 3.0+ and I say this with the most absolute respect and I will say this in all caps! (BEING AS RESPECTFUL AS I CAN, most of the personal trainers I have seen at least are nice, super I will say just nice, just from seeing and watching them train clients, they put no effort in and lack the passion or say the same cliche sayings over and over again. Like out some effort stop putting all the science in it and have some fun and get into it! I don't say this for the cycling classes or the others ones, just mainly for the PTs.

The gym was nice and clean, with a good selection of equipment. I honestly didn't work out much…read morehere and don't have many complaints, other than that it was an average LA Fitness. It's a lot smaller than most locations I've been to, which isn't an issue.

E X T E R I O R New and updated…read more P A R K I N G It is packed like always but you'll find a spot. Youll just get some extra cardio prior to setting foot into the actual gym! I N T E R I O R Clean. Updated. Ample, new equipment. Two floors. I don't really use the equipment so I'm not a good judge. But I usually see a lot of open equipment. G R O U P C L A S S E S ZUMBA I live, breathe and die for Zumba. Absolutely love dancing and exercising to bomb sexy a** music. Tahisha: LOVE. Tahisha is cute as hell. Love her high energy. Her music is upbeat. Strong cardio and full body workout. Easy to follow but she switches it up too so there's always something new to learn. She also has a side hustle and does classes on Sat! And she has a fantastic YouTube channel that you can follow for some additional at home Zumba classes. Chiko: Has a very cute bubbly personality; she's so cute. She's more low to medium intensity. Less cardio, easier workout. You can still break a sweat! Great for beginners. Carla: low to medium intensity. Less cardio. Easier workout. You can still break a sweat! Great for beginners, intermediate. Chyna: LOVE. High intensity, Upbeat music, Full body workout. Refer to my Akers LA FIT review. CYCLING I've only attended a handful. I'll update instructors as time passes but I do love it. It can be very high intensity and fun, depending on who teaches, otherwise you'll pretty much always break a sweat since you're really just cycling. Prepare for your lower body, abs and back to be sore! B A T H R O O M Clean. Updated. I've never experienced anything like what happened at the LA Fitness in Austell yesterday…read more(11/10/2025). While I was using the Smith machine, another patron walked up, put his bag down, and when I told him I was using it and had two more sets left, he went and told a manager -- Omar. A few minutes later, Omar came all the way from the front of the gym to interrupt my workout and ask me how many sets I had left, apparently to "make sure everyone can use the equipment." What's strange is that there's another Smith machine right behind me that was also occupied, but Omar didn't ask that person anything. When I pointed that out, he said, "We don't have to do that." That made it clear he was only addressing me because someone complained. Then he told the other patron to "just hop on whenever she finishes her two sets." Not when I was done -- but specifically after two sets -- as if a manager can dictate when someone's allowed to use a machine they're already on. To me, that's completely unprofessional. Everyone in the gym pays the same monthly fee. If a machine is in use, you wait your turn -- that's basic gym etiquette. I don't expect special treatment, and I definitely don't expect a manager to interrupt my workout because someone didn't want to wait. If capacity is an issue, the gym should add more equipment. But targeting a member mid-workout to accommodate someone else isn't fair or respectful. The way Omar handled the situation showed a real lack of tact and impartiality. I've always believed gyms should be about mutual respect and shared space, but this experience really left a bad impression. Hopefully, LA Fitness takes this seriously and makes sure managers treat all members equally.

I've been coming here for some time due to the location it is convenient, it's not Dunwoody or…read moreAustell, but the size of the gym to me... is'nt bad. However, there are a few issues with this location, the equipment upkeep and the lack of equipment doesn't make sense for a gym this size and for what you pay. For example; in the entire gym there is but one dip machine...and the treadmills pretty much don't work. They are all walking speed even at 7 and above. Except for the four incline ones at the end for now... The equipment isn't maintained well so you run into a few broken or on the verge of breaking ones. Now it's not on the level of LA Fitness but it's giving LA Fitness energy, not that LA Fitness isn't a decent gym just not my cup of tea (if you know, you know). Lastly please for the love of love, put ESPN on at least 3 of the ten thousand TVs in there, you can watch but some much of the OneLife channel. I'd even settle for the fishing channel. All that said, the energy in the gym is nice, I always see the same trainers putting in work, and again location location ‍.

When I tried to cancel, they demanded a fee or documentation to explain why I no longer wanted to give them money. What kind of gym requires you to justify ending a service you barely use? Just look at the attached screenshot. Equipment is aging, no upgrades, and the overall quality has declined while fees stay high. This company banks on people forgetting, giving up, or accepting the hassle. I've filed complaints with the FTC and Attorney General. Don't sign up unless you're ready to fight your way out. You've been warned.

The trainers are good it's your basic boot camp workout so just do yourself a favor and go to a real boot camp place because they're a total scam! They advertised a free special on FB, I knew it would t be 100% free and was okay with paying some. I adhered to the conditions they told me I had to do and when it came time to final weigh in it all changed. What a joke!!! They also then started charging me $30/mo and said it would be $75 to get that to stop. To date they've taken nearly $700 from me. Unless you're a serious builder just go ahead and avoid this scam and germ moldy cesspool this place comes with.

At times the gym felt overcrowded and louder than expected, not because of members or music but rather trainers and their environment. I also found communication regarding policies, scheduling and member concerns to be inconsistent. One of the main reasons I joined EpiFit Club was to be part of a community focused on growth, encouragement and inspiration. Unfortunately, my experience did not reflect those values. I observed behavior that felt cliquish and unwelcoming which is a distraction from the positive atmosphere I was hoping to find. Based on my experience, I do not plan to renew my membership.
