Terminus is amazing box. Big space with great layout. Coaching is strong. Come ready for challenging WOD programming. You will be pushed at any level you are at as a Crossfiters. Welcoming community that makes you feel part of group from when I walked in. Terminus should be on top list your list when looking for Crossfit in Atlanta.

Let's face it. I'm a "No Pain No Pain" kind of guy. My wife runs 10Ks on the regular; I don't even…read morelike to DRIVE 10K. Unfortunately, seeing my growing gut and my even faster growing kid, I realized that it's about time to do things. And since my aforementioned wife had already joined the Crossfit cult, she harangued me to join Crossfit Grant Street. Oh, don't think I didn't harbor a hefty dose of skepticism. It also didn't help that most of the people I'd already seen there during my initial assessments were wearing some old t-shirts of whatever college team they were on. Notice, I didn't say, "cheered on," I said, "were on." Was I ever on a college team? Does mathlete count? Beer pong? Not to mention, I went to college back in the pre-Internet dark ages, where faces and books were two different, unrelated things. So yeah, I may be new to the entire working out thing, but at least I'm also really, really old. As I said, skepticism. Fortunately, the gym owners/coaches understand my particular set of...challenges and adjust accordingly. It also helps to leave your ego at the door. Like when I told my doctor I started Crossfit at my annual physical (or what my millennial co-workers call it, "Wait, you go EVERY year?!"), doc responded, "At your age...." (Those sentences never end well. ) "...I don't usually think Crossfit is a good idea. You're surrounded by a bunch of 20 year olds and you try to do what they do and end up hurting yourself." I laughed and responded, "Uh, no. I know my limits. You forget that I've been married long enough that my ego was obliterated years ago. I've already accepted the fact that my wife can deadlift more than I can so I have no problem asking my coaches to scale it down." Doc gave her blessings after hearing that. So I'm a few months into it. I don't go to class every day, though I could if I wanted to. I have the shirt, but I feel bad wearing it since I haven't gotten rid of my gut yet. I've gotten to know many of my fellow gymmates and they're good folks; I don't think they realize how old and broken down I am, but the coaches do and that's what counts since they're the ones scaling my workouts. I'm not part of the cult, but all those years of fighting Sunday School class has built up my resistance towards indoctrination. Still, my body is reshaping itself slowly but surely. I may never be a jock (I'm too much of a nerd at heart), but I'm adding a few more attribute points to my character sheet. I'm all right with that.

My husband has been doing CF for over 5 years, he's incredible at it...... and thats incredibly intimidating. I have seen the transformation from the front line, I wanted it, but the CF cultish, scary strong people thing scared the shit out of me!!!! So i joined ClassPass and literally tried everything I could, Spin, Yoga, Bare, Pilates, boxing, kickboxing and everything in between. I just wanted an effective program that would give me a bigger ass and a body that would fit into the category of 'sexy as F***'! Pretty obtainable goal right!! I can guarantee that if i walked into any other gym 4 months ago, I would still be sitting on the New Years resolution of 'Get in Shape'. Thankfully I walked into this amazing space, filled with positivity and encouragement. I genuinely enjoy spending the best/worst hour of my day with everyone at this gym! The coaches are wonderful people and they are pretty good at coaching too (really good). The gym is spacious & SUPER CLEAN. you may be working out somewhere else or maybe just wishing you worked out in general. The community that is CrossFit Grant Street will support you and push you to be the best version of yourself! I am still a long way from my dream ass and my sexy AF bod- but my mental, physical and emotional strength and well-being has grown immensely!!! I owe it to this Fit-Fam! and to myself! Life can be uncomfortable at times, and CrossFit Grant Street taught me how to thrive in that uncomfortable-ness. xoxo

Vibe Ride taught me how to enjoy exercise and now I look forward to coming almost every day! I have become stronger, healthier, and happier since joining this community and even roped my partner into becoming a regular. Spin has great music and the room is dark, so you don't have to feel self-conscious if you are worried about how you look when you work out. TRX and body classes are also excellent. All of the coaches are fantastic and have their own energy and flow so you can find the fit that works best for you. I especially love Cristol, De'Angelo, and Demetrius' classes. They are fun, encouraging, and committed to ensuring everyone has a wonderful experience, no matter their skill level. We've even completed Tough Mudders as a gym! I can't speak highly enough of these coaches-- and of Vibe Ride!

The class was VERY calculated, to where they look at a paper and tell you what RPMs you're going to be at, which might be some people's things but not mine. We didn't do arms, which has never happened to me in a cycle class. I took a themed class, the music was good, the instructor wasn't bad. I am very passionate about cycling, and I can be picky but this wasn't for me.

Serious Safety & Liability Concerns - This Gym Puts Members at Risk…read more This gym is playing fast and loose with member safety, and it needs to be called out. The sauna has a clearly posted warning sign stating a maximum safe temperature of 185°F. Despite this, staff and management insist on running it at 200°F, knowingly exceeding their own posted safety limits. That alone is reckless and a massive liability issue. What made this worse: I entered the sauna first at a safe temperature. Another gym member then came in and turned the temperature up to 197°F, completely ignoring the warning sign. When I pointed out the posted safety limit, this individual became aggressive, threatened me, harassed me, and disturbed my peace while I was simply trying to protect my health. No member should feel unsafe--physically or verbally--while using a wellness facility. Management's response? Dismissive and unconcerned. Instead of addressing: * the unsafe temperature settings * the violation of posted safety guidelines * the harassment and threatening behavior by another member ...the manager failed to take the situation seriously at all. This gym is exposing itself to serious liability by: * Ignoring its own safety warnings * Allowing saunas to operate at dangerous temperatures * Failing to intervene when a member is threatened Saunas are supposed to support health--not endanger it. Until management starts prioritizing member safety, accountability, and basic respect, I strongly do not recommend this gym. Consider this a warning.

I tried Pure Barre for about 3 months, but was seeking variety in my workouts. F2B offers that with a plethora of classes and times! Fit to Be is located in the same building and on the same level as American Roadhouse. There's plenty of parking in the lot behind the building, and the studio has a small lobby area to wait in before classes start. They have a single room for classes, but it has a sliding barn door in the back, making it possible to conduct private training sessions at the same time a larger class is going on. Other reviews note that classes are capped at 15, but I've never had more than twelve. I have yet to take a class with Julie (the owner, acclaimed in many other reviews), but that's because I'm such a huge fan of Bryn's Ballerobica class at 9am on Saturdays. Barre or ballet-inpsired classes are a dime a dozen these days, but Ballerobica is the best I've found. It adds an aerobic element to the standard core exercises, so you feel like you've gotten a much bigger calorie burn. Plus, Bryn is a phenomenal teacher- she pushes without yelling and she is continually upbeat without being fake. Everyone -from students to teachers - seems genuinely glad to be there. I leave class feeling upbeat (and sweaty) which is exactly what I'm looking for. Though I discovered Fit to Be through Classpass (which is awesome, by the way), these are classes I might actually pay extra to be able to attend more of them than the three per month Classpass limits you to. At just $15 for one drop in class (and packages that go down in cost from there), Fit to Be is also one of the more reasonable gyms I've found. I can't wait to try more classes, because Fit to Be is certainly as good as it gets!
