Clean, Friendly, competent Staff! I'm 3 months into my program and Gravity has been a major part of my success! Everyone has genuinely encouraged me to push harder and its working! In another 3 months I'll have reached my goal and will switch to maintenance program. The gym has the latest equipment, everything is neat and in its place, no loud grunting from the members, no slamming of weights. Great cardio equipment. read more

i joined 6 months ago. I'm mid 60's. Gay in better than average shape. knew the owner Ken casually and he talked me into a full years membership. Ken sold his ownership at the end of the year. he knew something and should have share it with me. this facility has excellent equipment, but the most rude and unfriendly staff and membership of any gym I've ever been in. 6 months in, I wish i could withdraw. The owner is in a wheelchair and I ve a family member who's also in a wheelchair and spoke thinking we might have something in common. No. He's bitter, angry, rarely smiles, looks away if you try to even try to make eye contact He acts like I put him in that chair and he's doing me a favor by letting me use his gym. Ridiculous. The trainers are the most common people in the gym. Initally they speak to you in hopes you hire them and when you dont they blackball you. This is the most unfriendly gym I've ever attended and would leave if they would refund my remaining money. So disappointed. Just a a sespool of sadness. i regret joining. No way I would renew and im 2 blocks away. Awful people and i don't know how they are still in business. read more

Seems to have most things one could want in terms of equipment. Equipment and machines are usually available. No classes. Space and equipment appears old and worn. Questionable cleanliness. I see no wiping if equipment. Dark gray tired looking space. Trainers are contractors and no training is included in membership. It looks like most other services like massage and juice bar never returned after pandemic. read more

My friend Torrie is a member of this gym and she wanted me to join her today. Overall, I am surprised and impressed on what this gym has to offer! Located off of Cheshire Bridge Road, this gym is definitely a rare gem! Not only is there a gym, but they have a tanning salon and a Helmet hair salon in the facility! Upon arriving, I was nervous that I was going to get the whole sales story and waste 30 min of my time. Surprisingly, they were super cool about giving me a free week trial without any sales tactics. Plus, I give them major props on their customer service! Jay was very friendly, funny and made me feel at home! I knew this was a different gym when he asked if I would like a towel to use...seriously, I don't have to use my own!? Positives: - It was 5:30-6:00 and the gym was not packed at all! - The gym is SUPER CLEAN! - All of the equipment is well maintained and new - The BEST free weights I have ever used! Everything has rubber grips to it and I did not feel like I have to use my lifting gloves - The bathrooms/locker rooms are very clean and very modern - They have massage services, both wet and dry saunas and an assortment of fitness classes - They use Lemond stationary bikes for their spin classes!!!! - You can order Good Measure Meals and pick them up here Negatives: - Only one location As you can see, there are so many positives! It's definitely a one stop shop for all your gym needs. Who knows, maybe I will switch or just have two memberships when I need a break from the craziness of LA Fitness. It's just hard when all of your friends go to the same gym and you have multiple locations to go to! I definitely recommend this place for anyone looking for a really nice gym and looking to get a quick workout without waiting for a machine! read more

Gravity Fitness - Trainers Near Me - Atlanta, Georgia

Love this place. They provide towels for the showers!! Great equipment, great hours of operation, great energy and people.

Trainers take up a lot of the machines with numerous clients. It is difficult to find machines and equipment that aren't being utilized for trainers clients. read more

Went to this gym off and on since 2008. Just join again. Love this gym better then before. Everyone is required to wear mask, which make the environment safe to work out. The gym has clean towel for you to use and clean tower with bottle of disinformation to clean the equipments. It is so convenient that I don't have to bring anything with me, but my phone and headset. The price is very reasonable for a great gym. $46 per month. read more

This place is awesome, great range of equipment. A great gym for anyone who wants to get physically stronger. The trainers are always ready to help, always motivating and care so much about client's satisfaction. Also it's very clean and tidy. A pleasure to work out there! read more

Gym gym In I don't know if you call it midtown or Buckhead however it is hidden. Directly off of Faulkner road it is a great place to workout They are moving things around a lot as of late but it is all for upgrades. I am always treated by a friendly face and enjoy my every visit with personal trainer Cliff " Hollywood" Boyce. He has been around in the Atlanta scene for over 20 years in the health and wellness industry and is still going strong. A good friend and mentor. Every session is worth it. read more

Very good facility welcoming people and overall nice vibe. I am new to Atlanta and I will definitely be returning here and starting a membership. They offer a free trial and everyone is so nice read more

Clean gym and friendly people, a lot of open space and if you don't go at peak hours the vibe is so nice

This really is a good gym, nice atmosphere, but I don't go there anymore. The gym was never dirty a year ago. Someone wrote that they got a staph infection from the gym. I need to point out that you are responsible for washing your hands, they have hand cleaner everywhere. Also, use a towel to put on benches. The main reason I don't go there has nothing to do with the gym or staff. Since moving here, I have found there are some tough gay cliques that are not friendly unless they know you. It is very hard to work out in a gym where people cannot even be polite. The owner could work on this a little. Just circulate and introduce people and smile himself. A thought. read more

My previous gym closed and sort of "merged" with Gravity this year. Although the location is a farther drive from my house in Midtown, I am extremely pleased with this establishment's cleanliness, equipment and friendly staff. I'm a morning exerciser and am blown away by the cheerful attitude exhibited by the a.m. manager, Chase. I appreciate the multitude of weight machines to choose from, so I can keep my muscles in constant confusion. There are at least three machines per muscle group, such as chest, triceps and shoulders--you just have to know what you're doing. And if you have questions, one of the trainers, like Ralph, or some of the approachable members can help. I also am a substitute Group Kick instructor for Gravity, so I have to talk up the awesome group fitness courses offered. Gravity is a licensed carrier of the high-quality Body Training Systems programs, including strength training, kickboxing, spinning, yoga, etc. Also, Gravity's primary demographic is gay men, so I don't have to worry about getting hit on. However, straight men and women from both sides of the rainbow get their sweat on at Gravity, too! read more

Great Place for LA Fitness Refugees I was a member at LA Fitness and used its Ansley and Spring Street locations. I got sick of the overwhelming crowds, the messy free weights, the oversized (and underused) personal training area, and the *smell*. Finally after one too many weak workouts at LAF, I made the switch to Gravity and couldn't be happier. It is clean, well maintained and never too crowded, even in the 5 pm to 8 pm window. It's a little more expensive than LAF but worth the extra few dollars. read more

Gravity is located in an odd little industrial/warehouse area off Cheshire Bridge Road... parking seems like it would be tight, but even during classes & peak times, there seems to be enough. With a predominantly gay clientele, none the less all but the most "phobic" should be comfortable there- gym members of all ages and persuasions are in regularly. A couple more striking things about the gym are that 1) It is always clean and well maintained- not a bunch of broken equipment waiting for repairs that never seem to happen, and 2) No high pressure sales pitch! Lots of cardio machines, a very good selection of weight machines, and a well organized free-weight room. A good variety of classes too. Staff are very pleasant, usually at the front desk, always happy to help. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a gym! read more

Here visiting from out of town , Palm Springs,CA . Gravity Fitness is the best gym I've been to in years!! EXCELLENT ... The machines are top notch , huge weight room and great cardio area! Revised Review: Years ago I left LA Fitness because it was crowded and pretentious. Now I find myself back there again. It started when the gym changed from letting us early birds in a little before 5:00 to get our cardio in to waiting till 5:00 flat. I started to wonder what was going on. Then on Labor Day I was going to hit the gym and didn't realize they shortened their hours. I showed up an hour early and a few people I know came not realizing this either. They left but I decided to wait. Thirty minutes later one of the owners saw me sitting in my car waiting to go in. He walked in and locked the door behind him. I had finally had enough. I came to realize that day that I was there because I was supporting a small business but why support them when I can get better service at a national chain. I went right back to LA Fitness and re-enrolled. After 5 years LA Fitness was about the same with equipment and crowds but I didn't feel like I was in a place that disrespected me. Oh well! Original Review: Amazing and getting better every day... Thank God the old owner is gone. The new owner actually cares about his members and takes care of the equipment. The staff changes and the new manager are very positive additions to the facility. The equipment is getting fixed and upgraded quickly and I'm looking forward to the future here. read more

At first, Gravity is a great gym and a great place to relax. But once you want to close out your membership it takes a whole different turn. I closed my account with the gym and was consecutively charged three months past the cancellation date. Upon speaking with the owner about this misunderstanding, obviously, he said that's how the cancelation process worked....so I paid $126 to Gravity while I was living in Florida....also, the owner seems to come off pleasant until you leave then think about your interaction with him. He definitely talks to you as if you were a child and then makes you feel less than. I will never recommend or use this gym again. read more

Could be a 5 star with minimal effort. Some older equipment but an outstanding variety of machines and free weights. Gym members are courteous overall - they re-stack and take pride in their gym. More so than the owner. It's great that there are no crowds but they could get more members if they paid attention to details. Treadmills are in poor shape and dirty (rusted emergency off clips, dirt and dust all around). Could use upgrades in lighting, wall paint, had a sauna but now that's storage - no explanation. Never see any employees tidying up or cleaning - place could use a good scrub daily. The owner is saving $ by not using climate control. Often very hot or freezing cold winter mornings. When you ask the staff about climate control they just say it's on - nothing they can do. read more

This used to be (and still is) a great LITTLE gym. Unfortunately the recent membership explosion is busting it at the seams. Not enough parking, Not enough lockers, Not enough Cardio equipment. Watch out for the weight sleighs running up and down the isles between machines, they'll break your ankle if they run into you. I'm sure the new owners love all the new members but too much of a good thing isn't alway better! read more

Spotlessly clean, well-maintained, and friendly gym. The staff is superb, and the owner, James, will go out of his way to please customers. The front desk personnel are always helpful, and I have observed they never use high pressure sales tactics. I have belonged for over a year now and would never switch to another gym regardless of the cost. The gym is very, very clean, has long maintained sanitizing hand cleaners throughout the place and keeps machines spotless. read more

This is probably the best overall gym inside the perimeter. Unlike my previous gym, all of the cardio equipment is newer and machines are never down for repairs. This is also a very friendly gym and both people who work out there and the employees are nice. The entire place is also well kept and clean. Even the locker areas and smell fresh and clean, unlike other places that smell like mold and mildew. Membership rates are equal to or lower than other gyms and you get a lot of value for the money. As far as being good for kids, there are some teens who work out there but most ot the members seem to be men and women in the 30s-50s age group. The place has a diverse membership. read more

Chase over at Gravity Fitness is the best personal trainer to work with. He will customize your training for your body type and goals. No attitide and very freindly. read more

So, I have been a member for 3 years now and at first top notch facility!!! A sauna, a steam room, great free weights and just a myriad of different machines. As of late, it's really gone down hill. So many of the machines could use updates, simply adding missing grips would make a difference. The Sauna...closed, the steam room is now a storage room. What happened??? My dues didn't get reduced, but the amenities sure have. With so many gyms to choose from, I'm wondering why they aren't doing anything to remain competitive. It's a true shame what had happened to this once great gym. read more

Definitely the best gym in Atlanta. I can see why they have been awarded the best gym in Atlanta for several years in a row. After trying several gyms in the area i found Gravity to be the best The equipment is state of the art and very well maintained. Free weight room is well equipped with plenty of room to work out and very clean. The facilities are far superior to the other gyms in midtown and the employees are terrific. They are very friendly, knowledgeable, and keep me motivated. They do a terrific job in making you feel welcome If your looking for a gym in Atlanta I highly recommend Gravity. read more

Went to Gravity for about 3 months. The staff were ok but the owner was very rude, condescending and did not seem to care if I were there or not. Also, I got a staph infection from the nasty sauna where there seems to be unmonitored sexual activity. I would NEVER go there again. read more

This gym is superb. What a welcome experience after dealing with *ahem* certain chain gyms! This place is independent, and the owners/operators are extremely friendly and down-to-earth. They are straightforward, upfront, reasonably priced, and a pleasure to deal with. The gym itself is clean, with excellent equipment and a friendly clientele. It is welcoming and positive and even the workers greet you and tell you goodnight every time. Get the free pass, and you'll see what I mean.. you won't hesitate. read more

I joined Gravity Fitness in November and the owner, James, was very unfriendly. He seemed not to give me a second thought. He directed his employee to sign me up, seems like he is more interested in $ than people. Anyway, the first week I was excited seeing lots of new men. BUT WAIT! The second week I was there I GOT A STAPH INFECTION FROM THE DUMBELLS!!! I know that it came from Gravite cause I went back to get a swab of it and took it to my doc and he confirmed it. THE PLACE IS GROSS! Dirty showers, dirty steam room, dirty sauna. Staph is serious so PLEASE HEED THIS WARNING!!! read more

Terrible management and ownership, who refuse to honor contract provision 9, which allows immediate cancellation when "substantial" changes are made to gym. Recently rejoined and was told steam room would be reopened, then informed weeks later it would no longer be available. Owner refused to speak with me, having a mgr. refuse to let me out of contract, insisting I pay 60 days. Incredibly unreasonable, rude. We will be going to court if they ask me for one cent. read more

The Men's bathroom is DISGUSTING!! There is no door between the actual bathroom and locker-room, so any time someone goes in there and blows it up, the smell lingers into the locker-room and eventually into the gym by the front desk area. It's nasty! The smell in there makes me want to hurl sometimes. The carpet in the locker-room is soiled and stained, and also has a foul smell. Half of the faucets don't work, and the mirrors/countertops always have water and stains on them. The place is a WRECK! Also, would it be asking too much to have kleenex in the bathrooms. It's a shame you have to go into those nasty stalls to get toilet paper to blow your nose. The Owner has major attitude, and he dresses like he is going to a night club. Lots of bling, designer jeans, tight flashy t-shirts - it's not attractive. This is supposed to be a healthy, athletic minded environment, not a gay bar scene. I also think his "corner office" with curtains comes across as "I'm better than all of you" type attitude. Again, this is a gym! Why do you need a fancy corner office? The Owner also brings his dog into the gym, and while she seems sweet and nice, it only takes ONE attack or bite to change all of that. Perhaps he hasn't thought of this, but I'm sure he will get sued if/when the dog does eventually snap at somebody. Again, it's a gym, not a doggie day care center. The equipment is average at best, much of it is outdated. This is no state of the art facility. Also, none of the members re-rack their weights (and the staff is too lazy to tidy up), so there's always weights all over the place, and you constantly have to "search" to find what you're looking for. No organization whatsoever. The parking lot is way too tight to handle the way the parking is set up, so you're likely to get a bumper scrape - and if you don't get a bumper scrape, you may end up with a busted window since the surrounding area is total sketch. There is nothing around this gym, so don't plan on meeting your friends for a quick bite afterward, or at least close by. Lastly, much of the staff also has attitude. I won't name any names, but believe me they know who they are, and I'm sure most of the members would also agree. In summary, Gravity isn't worth the drive, the money, or your efforts. There are other gyms, at the same monthly cost, that are closer to midtown, cleaner, with better parking, and friendlier staff. Don't waste your time, trust me....you're not missing anything here. read more

I love love love Gravity, This gym has it all .. I love the staff, Mike is my favorite, Lol.. And I got to talk to the owner and he is a sweetie and made sure we were taken care of, they make you feel so comfortable and they want to make sure you are happy at the gym and any issues they take care of ASAP ... Dan and Louis are awesome as well when they work the front desk. We have had to pause our training their due to work schedules but will be back as soon as are schedules are back to normal. We commute down to Gravity because it is where our trainer trains out of, but training with him or not we will continue going because we like the vibe, staff and atmosphere. Love the ladies locker room and I hear the mens is nice too, new equipment, free classes, you can purchase meals, they have drinks to purchase and healthy snacks in the vending machine.. A place to tan, get a massage and get your hair done.. Im just saying where else will you find that in midtown for that type of money....Go on , I'll wait ...Lol.. So if you are looking for an awesome gym to join for a good rate, check out Gravity !! read more

Not sure what last review was about, I had amazing encounter with staff. I think he misunderstood the 3 day pass to try the gym is FREE, as long as you are local resident. Chill place to come work out. Compared larger chains I've been to, you never have to wait for a machine or weights. The staff super positive and attentive. I'm impressed they have so much stuff here, like a salon and massage rooms. This place is surprisingly big. Definitely recommend. read more

Poorly managed, mediocre facility. They lack quality customer service. More of a social hang-out than a gym.
