My husband and I had to plan on replacing our unit, and after receiving a quote or two, I called…read moreMadd Air to see what their rates would be. Heather patiently answered as many of my questions as she could, and Charlie (the owner) spent over an hour explaining the ins and outs of units. What I appreciated most was he didn't talk to me like I was dumb or try to oversell me - I felt like I was talking to someone who could best explain the needs for my house. Justin came by the following day and gave us several quotes on various units. He didn't try selling the most-expensive unit (or even the step up from what we're getting). He also explained the ductwork and why the construction would be as extensive as planned. Our ducts are original to our 1970s house, and there are all kinds of holes that are beyond repair. Between the time we scheduled our unit install and the actual date (8 days from now ), Madd Air has handled any issues we've had to ensure we are comfortable. Our unit ran out of coolant and needed to be charged, and Justin added enough to hold us over. Their prices are right in line with the market, and in my opinion, they do far more than what other companies with the same quote can offer. We are customers for life and have referred friends and family to give Madd Air a try.

When they arrived they were focused on trying to evaluate my air conditioning system rather than focus on the quote I requested. When the salesman realized he wasn't going to get any upsell wiggle room, he told me they don't do blown in insulation for less than three grand. This is more than every other company that offered quotes by as much as 50%. I would avoid based on the 'sales first' pushiness of the company. They are less interested in providing value to customers than pushing their sales. A company needs jobs to be profitable, but this is something else entirely.

I rarely write reviews, but this situation is a must. Richmond Air installed my new HVAC for my…read moregarage recently and had the best price for the product and skilled install which is critical for performance. As a matter of fact there was a misunderstanding in the quote as I thought it included new ducts, but it did not. But James replaced for free due to the misunderstanding on my part. He did not have to do that because it was my mistake in communication. Prior to that I had 2 other hvac systems installed by another company. So I called that company that did the install to repair one. Within hours of repairing one hvac, the other failed. So I had to wait over the weekend for them to return to fix the hvac and on Monday my schedule. Then I decided to use Richmond Air for the repair. I only would be at my house from 8:30 to 10am due to a departing flight. I called Richmond Air at 7:30 AM on Monday to see if they could send someone to my house within the hour. The owner, James showed up with a staff member. So the other company's staff accidentally let out my Freon. James called the company and explained the mistake for me and arranged for them to replace my Freon for free. That is honestly and great customer service. He could have replaced the Freon and charged me, which is expensive and let me figure out the situation with the other company. So that deserves my business and yours. Trustworthy, competence and great pricing. I hope this review helps you select Richmond Air. I am confident you will be happy with the work and you will feel that you have gotten great value for the service.

Once on site, he quickly diagnosed the issue, took the time to explain what was wrong, and showed me exactly what needed to be fixed. What I appreciated most was his honesty and transparency. He didn't try to upsell me or take advantage of the situation, and the repair was completed quickly at a fair price. It's not often you find someone who is responsive, punctual, knowledgeable, and trustworthy. If you're looking for an HVAC company that genuinely cares about its customers, I highly recommend KAC Express and Trung.

Said we had a leak and that they couldn't send someone out to fix it until Monday. Oh and that it would be between 11-13k to fix it. After being fed up with the Texas heat and our home being at 80, I sent in a form on KAC website around 9:30pm. Not expecting to hear anything until today (Sunday) but to my surprise Trung called us almost immediately and told us they'd send someone out the next morning at 8am! Trung called us at 7:30am Sunday to let us know they were on the way (INCREDIBLE!!) and they not only quoted us cheaper than the original company we had come out, but said they'd fix it TODAY. So happy I could cry!! They're here now fixing it, and Daniel, Manny and Sidro are the most kindest, and honest people. Not to mention Trung came over himself to say hi and see if we needed anything. You can tell KAC is here to help, not screw you over like other companies do. I am referring KAC to everyone!

I was a victim of one of their technicians, Mark. He came out and told me he needed to charge my…read moresystem with a known leak in it and then wanted the check made out to Tabatha Agularia and not the company because of something to do with the refrigerant shipment. So, he took the check and went to my credit union (one mile down the road) and they wouldn't let him in to cash it. Why would he try to cash it right away? How, it wasn't made out to him? You don't turn checks into the company? So he went to some check cashing place and would have had to forge her signature to be able to cash the check. The credit union told me of his visit. Of course, the coolant leaked out. He finally installed the new evaporator, and it ruptured when he put pressure to it. He and his assistant left with my second check which I promptly put a stop payment on it. The company or Tabatha, never responded to my calls until the second check didn't go through. I explained what he did and she said "he's done this before" and they still never came back and fixed anything. He recently admitted to all this when texting me and now I will file. I'm not sure who owns the company, but it cost them money for the refrigerant x2 and the evaporator and labor. Mark left me with a ruptured evaporator and out $550 that went in his pocket I assume and they would never return phone calls or emails. The recent contact included email to Tabatha and he responded so what is her part in this? Why would he be responding to her email. And the email said "FU and the bitch ass Tabatha". Time to file.

Parker evaluated the cause (slow leaking evaporator coil) but he wanted to be sure the rest of the system maintained integrity by performing a pressure leak test which he did a few days later. He charged the system back up, enough to get me to the pressure test. Confirming the problem, he passed me over to Hope who provided a solution and explained in detail what needed to be done, what it would cost, and how long it would take. This was on a Friday afternoon. She was able to coordinate the required new equipment, materials and schedule their construction team for the following Monday morning. Everything was in place that morning and needless to say, they knew what to do and how to do it. They jumped on it, and never stopped. No breaks, no lunch and were finished by 2:00 PM. This was a major project, having to demo and rebuild the supply plenum, remove and replace the coil section of the furnace, install a new drain pan and drains, etc. As fate would have it, my thermostat had failed and that caused a delay getting the system to start. Richard, another airWoodlands tech came out and discovered the problem quickly and provided me with a new thermostat. From Angela, to Parker, to Hope, to Cossa, and to Richard, I could not have asked for a better team from any one, anywhere. Customer service in general has failed in America, but this group is an exception. I will never have to search for an a/c contractor. Air Woodlands is the best. (A special call out to Parker.
