I want to give a shout-out to Colin at Cross View Glass, who just saved my bacon. While painting the house, I dropped a ladder and broke a pane of glass in my front door. Unfortunately, it was an antique glass of a type that hasn't been made in 30 years. Fortunately, Colin had some of this rare glass in stock, and was able to replace the broken pane. We had him take out our big aluminum windows which consisted of 2 sliders and a picture window and had him replace them with Plygem casement windows and a picture window. I was very disappointed in Colin's work ethics. He just wasted our time and our tenant's good will towards us because he didn't pay attention to what he was told and didn't even do the work we were inquiring about. Likely he was just trying to sell new windows rather than just do the trim work that was being requested. He acts friendly and like he cares but his actions show clearly he does not pay attention and showed little professionalism towards a potential customer. Full story: Colin was given a detailed email with pictures, explaining the requested job clearly. He was resent this information the evening before he showed up at the house when he again asked for information about the job. He apparently never read the email (though he claimed he did) because while talking to me on the phone and standing in front of the tenant he was asking what the problem was.. was a window leaking, where was the window, etc. He was late for the appointment and didn't bother to call/text saying he was running late. He wasn't making an appointment (just kept asking if I was available at different times) then one day asked if he could come by that day (e.g. in an hour or two since it was mid afternoon). Luckily he didn't have the address because he was not paying attention to the fact that I was telling him there was a tenant and proper notice had to be made. After insisting on going inside the house (not necessary at all) and looking at the outside he called to say he didn't do that work. I said I wish you would have said that up front before wasting my time and bothering the tenant. He then started arguing with me about how he was not wasting his time and the tenant was nice so he wasn't bothering the tenant (the first words out of the tenants mouth was you were supposed to be here earlier). I ended up just hanging up on him - waste of time to argue with unreasonable people. Think twice (or more) before hiring Colin. I would never hire him - he was not truthful (about reading the email or discussing why he was going over there - obviously not to do the work we asked him do to), nor was he considerate at all. This will show in his actual work also. read more

He came over to measure my windows twice to make sure the new windows he ordered were sized correctly.
