The sales girl is very nice and does a great job (a reputable company needs to hire her). The guy that removed large hive from our attic was nice enough but since the remediation and them messing with our trim around our attic vent (where the wasp nest was), our vent trim has fallen off repeatedly and we have had the attic exposed again to wasps. We have lived here 10 years and never had an issue with this trim until they removed it and this company will not return our calls to come fix what they broke. For the almost $2k remediation, it's ridiculous they will not come correct the issue they created with our trim and check to be sure there is no new infestation due to their negligence. Cannot recommend this company at all due to incompetence, poor communication, and lack of responsibility for their work. No return calls after multiple attempts. Stay clear. There has to be a better company in Chattanooga that will stand behind their work that remediates wasps and hornets! read more

We just recently moved to a cabin and started hearing noises in the attic. I made an appointment with Critter Control to have an inspector come out. They told me she would be at our house between 12:30-2:30. I made sure I was home and available. She did not show up until after 4pm. I thought someone profession would come, but this girl was young, probably early 20's, very nice girl but the first thing she did was go and sit down in the dirt with my donkeys. We have a mini farm and she was more concerned about spending time with my animals than helping us with our attic problem. She started taking pictures of them and spent a lot of our inspection time talking to the farm animals. Finally she went into the attic, she wasn't at all prepared. Didn't have a ladder or even a flashlight. She quickly looked around and told us we had roof rats and that we needed a full home seal up for $3000. She said the initial treatment to remove them would be $389 and the monthly treatment thereafter would be $78. We wanted to get more info from her, we were asking some questions about the removal and trapping and how it was done. I noticed she kept contradicting herself like she wasn't knowledgeable in what she was talking about and she was constantly looking at her phone. She seemed in a big hurry now. Since she was so late showing up at our house she said she had to get going to meet up with her friends. She said she would send us quotes of everything in writing and took my email address. She also said she took videos in the attic and I asked her multiple times to send them to me, which she did not. Days went by and I did not receive any quotes or videos. I messaged her and she eventually text me back and said, sorry for the delay, but instead of sending the videos she took in my attic, she sent me pictures of my own donkeys! Again, no quotes either. I messaged the company from their website with my dissatisfaction and thought that maybe a manager would contact me. Never heard from them, but within an hour of me sending the message to the company, the "inspector" finally sent me the quotes I had been asking her for. They were not what we discussed the night she was at our house. I asked her about it and she then resent the quotes, only this time it was double the price! Do NOT ever use this company. Don't fall for their scams. I think they must hire people off the street with no experience and tell them to just quote ridiculous prices and string people along. Zero professionalism, no knowledge of procedures, they will show up hours late for the appointment and be in a hurry to leave. You will be quoted multiple prices and not sent anything in writing unless you beg for it. Finally get the quote and it's not what was discussed then another is sent and it's doubled. Do not use this company for any pests you have. I hired them to get rid of muskrats in two ponds where I live near Chattanooga, TN. A rep walked the ponds with me, showing me several active "runs". But they did not come out and set traps until ten days later due to "not having enough help". Later, they came out and "checked" the traps several times and their work orders all stated that no pests were trapped. After three to four weeks, they showed up and removed the traps. The new tech (a different one each time) told me he was required to remove the traps and that someone would be back next quarter to re-set them. I asked why they were removing the traps and he said the initial term was over. I told him that nothing had been caught. He stated "Oh yea. I did catch some animals." I asked him "Muskrats, how many?" He said several, yes, muskrats, two. I told him the work orders never indicated any were caught. He said he just forgot to list the catches. When Critter Control sent me a bill for $800 and a quarterly bill for $350, I asked the manager why I was invoiced when nothing was caught. He said that according to the contract, no number of pests were guaranteed to be caught. I said, does that number include zero. He said yes. I told him his tech said he caught some. He said he never believes an employee, even if he had one for 15 years. He only believes the work orders. One, the contract was vague and Critter Control should inform the customer that $1,150 you will pay guarantees only that zero pests will be caught. Two, Critter Control should communicate that nothing was caught, and then they should move the traps to other "runs", or try another method before giving up. Three, why would any company employ any employee that they did not believe or felt was dishonest? What good is any "documentation" if you cannot trust the employee? Four, why would any company keep an employee who they felt lied to a customer. There are many other pest control companies out there. Please employ one of those other ones as Critter Control will only take your money and most likely never rid your property of any pests. I moved into a new construction home back in Nov. 2019 and not long after started hearing critters scratching in my ceiling and had evidence of mice in my attic. My builder offered ZERO help and I was desperate to get the problem handled so I could sleep at night since mice are nocturnal and were scratching on my bedroom ceiling. I called the company that was currently servicing my home under builder contract for termites. They could not get someone out timely to address my issue, so they referred me to their sister company, Critter Control. I called them and someone came out to look at my home and provide me with a recommendation for fixing my problem. The conclusion was that I needed a ground level exclusion which would cost $900. They came out to do the work and were here for less than 2 hours. Fast forward a month or so, I was still having issues with mice. I called the individual back that assessed my home and he came back out. Despite the fact that there was rotting mice in my attic and the smell was horrific and despite the fact that my attic had massive tunnels from mice, he said there wasn't any problem. He proceeded to say that it was all in my head!!!!!!!!!!!!! I then called another company and this individual came out and inspected my foundation with a mirror and found that the sill plate was not properly installed and there were several gaps around the house where he put steel wool. He charged me $75 for that service. Fast forward to July 2020, I am still having issues. I got another opinion this week and they will seal my entire foundation and address the attic issues also. It's sad that Critter Control was so flippant about this whole situation. It's even more sad that the individual that came back out after I was still having issues did not want to help with my continued problem and wrote it off as I'm crazy and it was all in my head. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THAT YOU USE CRITTER CONTROL. They are not competent in their rodent exclusion services and they will end up making you think the problem is all in your head. read more
