We should have known since most of the contract we signed dealt with arbitration and not suing them. They told us we had a bad mice and snake problem in our encapsulated crawlspace and attic, and probably the walls too. The work they quoted was expensive but based on other quotes they were on the high side but in line. They quoted 5 things to do. 2 of which they did not do at all, the other 3 they did attempt were complete fails. They incompetently or accidently unencapsulated our crawl space as well. We had to fix that ourselves. They came out 4 times and we had to be there to watch them since each time they did less work, and worse job. The managers came out the last time and it looks laughable. If Orkin's goal was to keep doing so bad we'd say don't come back and quit wasting our time then you succeeded at that! If this is the best you can do, your competitors appreciate you! Us on the other hand feel cheated out of our hard earned money for a piss poor job and apathetic and incompetent organization. First I called Terminix for the job, they changed 150$ before doing anything. Than got scared from the large hornets nest, they left and I never heard from them again. Than I called Mark, he was not scared from any insects and plus he really knows so much about bugs, that is important for dealing with them!! Super humble he comes and take care of any problem. Also his charges are very affordable, not extremely high like from the Terminix, they just vane regular spraying around my house with harsh chemicals-easy money. Had I ordered this service, the $75 inspection fee would have been waived, but I paid it. This should make it clear I did not accept the service. I told Stephanie, who is nice & helpful, that I did not want the service, on the day they did the inspection. I thought I was finished with them, but I was wrong. They have a invoice with the former owner's signature requesting the service. When I heard that the service was being performed, I even called Stephanie to make sure they knew I did not want it. I was told that it was on the previous owners, who owned the place at the time. Now, I have received two bills for a service that I refused performed on a property that I did not own at the time. After the first bill, two weeks ago, I was told by Stephanie that it would "taken care of", yet today, I received another bill. On top of all that, they are trying to collect $75, that would have been waived, which has already been paid. I do my own pest control, but if I needed help, I would have called them. Now, I will warn people of their deceitful practices. How is it my responsibility if someone else does not pay her bill? I hope that the Better Business Bureau helps.

Having to have the SAME conversation on concern areas each time is frustrating. Having a rotation of strangers as technicians in my house each month is disconcerting as a customer. Placement of mosquito treatment for months was incorrect for where we spend most of our time outside. Luckily the 3rd technician we had this summer caught it, but we suffered for 4 months prior while still paying for service. Were told "Mosquitos are just really bad this year". Except that the 3rd technician was able to noticeably fix it, so I guess it isn't all out of our hands thanks to mother nature. Final straw, I had my windows cleaned last week for $1000. The technician this morning oversprayed treatment on each window leaving fresh spots EVERYWHERE! I didn't catch what he was doing until he was mostly finished. I'm sick to my stomach looking at my windows, now covered in spots and drips of bug repellent. At this point, I prefer the bugs.

When I asked her if she was concerned that her technicians were only spending 8 minutes on my property, she replied some techs are faster than others. I told her it sends a bad vibe that management doesn't care if services are performed. That it appeared their only concern was is the bill paid. She told me her concern was that I was unhappy. At $179 for less than 10 minutes is more expensive than my attorney. All other techs from Aptive spent time here and sent photos after they left. This guy left so fast that when we asked for photos he said there were not any taken this visit. Guess when you are a fast tech on a property for 8 minutes, you don't have time to make photos.... Friendly advice, say no thank you when they come knocking on your door.
