The inspector came on time, was professional and found a number of items that needed to be fixed. he even identified some minor issues on the roof; all items I had fixed. However after moving in the roof leaked terribly over the screen porch. I went up on the roof and it was obvious the slope was too shallow for shingles and the shingles were curled and in bad shape. Also some of the flashing around the chimney was on the "Outside" of the siding. Estimates to fix the problem ranged from 1600-2400 dollars. I was so upset I wanted to sue but did not want the stress. I contacted Diamond and they agreed to pay me the 350 dollars back if I released them from liability. Bottom line (and I knew better). My lessons learned is to hire a home inspector but still do your own due diligence and inspection.
