3/24/26: I wanted to update my review after hearing back from the owners. They personally reached…read moreout to explain that they recently received guidance from the health department not to accept outside cups due to cross-contamination concerns, and I really appreciated them taking the time to explain that. They also shared that the employee helping me was in her first week, which gave helpful context to the situation. As a kind gesture, they sent me a $10 gift card, which I thought was very thoughtful. When I came back in to use it, they recognized my name from the situation and took the time to talk with me in person and explain everything again. That really meant a lot and showed how much they care about their customers. Customer service and communication go a long way, and I'm grateful for the way they handled everything. I'm looking forward to continuing to support them. Old review: Melby's has really great drinks and the atmosphere is honestly one of the reasons I keep going back. It's a cozy spot and the coffee itself is consistently good. That said, the customer service can be hit or miss. The employees often come across as a bit unpleasant, which takes away from the experience. One thing that's especially frustrating is their refusal to allow personal cups. Almost every other coffee shop I visit is happy to accommodate this, and it doesn't require much effort, many places simply set the cup on the counter and pour the drink without even touching it. It's a small thing, but it makes a difference for customers who are trying to reduce waste or just prefer using their own cup. I really do like Melby's drinks and vibe, but improving the customer service and being a little more flexible with simple requests like personal cups would make the experience much better.

We started…read morewith a few beers and an order of the Rusty Nutz, which were served with ranch and were really good. For our meals, we ordered the fish and chips, cottage pie, and wings. Everything was flavorful, cooked well, and hit the spot. Even though it was a busy day with the World Cup on, the staff did an excellent job keeping up with our drinks and food. They were friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed. Overall, it was a great experience, and we'd definitely come back to watch another match.

We've visited this Londoner location before and have always enjoyed it, but this visit was…read moreextremely disappointing. The first thing that stood out was the condition of the restroom. It wasn't just messy from heavy traffic--it was genuinely dirty, smelled like a porta-potty, and looked like it hadn't been cleaned in quite some time. That was a huge letdown. We sat on the patio to watch the World Cup match, and none of the outdoor fans were working, which made it incredibly uncomfortable. It also seemed like the restaurant was understaffed and unprepared for the event. Considering they've hosted soccer watch parties before, I expected them to be much more organized. There was a wristband system in place, so while it was busy, it wasn't overflowing with people. Our waitress was very kind and did her best, so I don't blame her. Unfortunately, every bill at our table was incorrect, and we ended up just Venmoing each other to sort it out. Drinks also took a very long time to arrive, even though we were ordering simple items like beer. The most concerning part of the experience was that three people in our group became extremely sick afterward. The only thing they all had in common was that they each ordered the fish and chips. I can't say for certain what caused it, but it was concerning enough to mention. Overall, this visit was a major disappointment compared to our previous experiences. I hope management addresses the cleanliness issues, improves staffing and preparation for major events, and looks into the food quality so future guests have a much better experience.

Get them with coconut milk if you can. They have great charcuterie options and sandwiches and toasts. We love the avocado and fruit toasts. I believe for weekday lunchtime they offer a lunch/drink combo which it awesome. I've been to the ftw location too and both cafes are super busy. This location has plenty of parking. I haven't done the wine portion but I know my friends love wine and charcuterie. So it's a perfect get together for ppl who love wine and others who don't. They have plenty of tables/chairs downstairs and some upstairs and great outdoor patio for those with dogs. I come here often and bring visiting friends here too.

To name a few there's creme brulee, charcoal honey, ube, pandan...along with all the regular flavors. The pastries are good, they are average, which is still a good thing. Ham & cheese came out flaky. :) Presentation is beautiful. Sometimes I'll go there midday & there's not alot to choose from so it will prevent me from getting a snack. Charcuterie & wine is available but I haven't ordered any of those. A fun atmosphere, along the wall are built in seats with chairs on the opposite end of the table. Other seating includes table with benches (beware you can't move the benches to get in & out, if I'm wrong I apologize), then some a few tables with chairs by the windows, on the other side they do have benches facing each other with tables in between (great for groups!), & beautiful outdoor patio seating. They have a small upstairs with chairs & use wine barrels as tables. Clever! Customer service is okay, let me say that every person there has been extremely pleasant but out of the four times I've been there, only once I didn't have an issue. They seem to enough their jobs & working together, which is a green flag for any place, but sometimes they get distracted. One time I stood there & staff was chatting in the corner, a good amount of time passed before anyone noticed me. Another time, they just forgot my drink (it was the only thing in my order) & there were no other order left... the group was again chatting away with with each other, then during another visit they forgot my croissant. Each time they did apologize, but three out of four times aren't good odds. I probably won't frequent this location as much, but I will stop by once in awhile because their drinks are worth it.

Upon entering the store, it's averagely welcoming with plenty of tea options, ice cream and macaroons. I like their variety, but despite the large selection of drinks, they're mostly the same type of drinks you'd find in other stores, including boba tea classics, smoothies, shakes and coffee. Their shake was watery/thin, despite asking for a thicker shake. I also ordered the strawberry milk tea. Tastes great but nothing too special. The store could benefit with hiring extra workers. There was only one girl covering the front and the making of all drinks. It wasn't rush hour- with one couple ordering after us- we were the first in line but it took about 10 minutes for us to get our 2 drinks. I wouldn't mind coming back here if a friend wants to go, but it would be a pass for me. However, I enjoyed their birthday flavored ice cream macaroon. This is an option I don't see commonly in other boba tea shops; ironically the item I liked best over the drinks.

Drinks do take a while to come out since there was only one worker, so expect a bit of a wait. 24 oz Black Sugar Matcha Latte with Almond Milk ($6.29) + Honey Popping Boba ($0.75): This combo wasn't really for me, but my husband loved it. If you're a fan of black sugar milk tea and want to try something different, this is a good choice. The honey popping boba was interesting, though I personally felt the drink was already sweet enough without it. My husband has more of a sweet tooth, so it was right up his alley. 24 oz Taro Matcha Latte with Oat Milk ($6.29) + Tapioca ($0.75) + Coconut Jelly ($0.75): Pretty good overall, but I didn't really taste the matcha; it leaned much more toward a taro milk tea. I thought adding coconut jelly might be too many flavors, but it actually worked well. The tapioca was unsweetened with a chewy texture. We asked to switch the tapioca for coconut jelly, but both ended up being added instead.
