Great place to build your own salad and plenty of options for vegans! Most of their salad dressings, except for one, are vegan, so you have a lot to choose from. I will definitely be returning to this place for it when a craving for a salad hits.

Cobb salad - brown, wilted, slimy lettuce, no avocado, burnt bacon bits, barely any eggs and tiny pieces of chicken (none of it was good)

We ordered two Cobb salads for delivery on postmates ($56 total) and the salads arrived with wilted, slimy lettuce and not very many toppings. I cannot believe they charge $18 for this salad. I definitely would not eat here again.

Delicious salads with quality ingredients. Great vegan & gluten free options. Service is fast, everyone working here is friendly. The NoPo Salad is my favorite, it's got the right combination of creaminess - cheese, nuttiness - hazelnuts, sweetness - Marion berry dressing & saltiness- smoked salmon.

    San Pancho with Tempeh

I LOVE salad so I was happy to find a salad place. I ordered the San Pancho salad with tempeh, which is a southwest flavor with tortilla chips, beans, peppers and avocado. There were a lot of options on the menu including build your own salad and a few soups and a dine in or take out options. The salad was fresh and delicious, but expensive for the portion sizes. Still a great place for a salad!

Nice + cozy spot for a quick salad! The staff was decent, didn't seem to have the most welcoming spirit. They didn't roll my wrap properly. However, two of the staff members gave us a sample of the pico and told us a recommendation. It's a great spot. Would come back again.

Yummy yummy. Not a huge salad person my self. This bowl that they offer was perfect for me. So yummy and filling! Would get it again!

It is the kind of place you instantly feel comfortable settling into. Everyone we interacted with was incredibly kind, and the service was genuinely great throughout. We ordered the Quekas with vegan chorizo and black beans and they were SO good, honestly a standout. The chips and guac were also a hit, and I loved that the guac was actually cold. Such a small detail that makes a big difference. The Citrus Salad was super fresh, crisp, and delicious, which balanced everything out perfectly. I also tried the NA classic margarita and it was so refreshing. I loved the subtle touch of orange juice. Overall, such a lovely spot with amazing food, great vibes, and thoughtful details. By the time we left around 6 PM, the dinner rush had started and a line was forming at the door. The interior is well decorated, modern, and clean. The server was friendly and service was fast. We ordered the bowl, one with carnitas and other with avocado. Both were very tasty! You can tell that the ingredients were fresh, the carnitas were tender and well seasoned. They also had a mango hot sauce brought to the table in a bottle that is amazing. I drenched my bowl with the sauce for the extra kick and flavor. The bowls are very filling. We ended up boxing up half of our food to bring home and finish for a late dinner. Would definitely come again and try their hot sandwiches. Will have to look into whether they sell their mango hot sauce separately as well. I'd buy a bottle!

Not one of them has disappointed but if I had to choose a favorite it would be the Ahogada which is perfectly balanced juicy rich and deeply flavorful every single time. Guero also has fantastic drinks and their destilados offering is truly outstanding. Whether you are exploring mezcal tequila or other agave spirits the selection here is thoughtful and exciting. I have had some meals at the bar where the bartenders were genuinely engaged knowledgeable and happy to walk you through their agave list which only enhances the whole experience. I will be honest and say that the service can sometimes lean into the typical Portland vibe of aloof and uninterested but there have also been moments especially at the bar where the staff really shines and makes you feel welcome and taken care of. Even with that quirk the overall experience is fantastic and it does nothing to take away from how much I enjoy eating here. If you are in Portland and love great tortas bold flavors and exciting drinks Guero is absolutely worth a stop. I will continue to come back every time I am in town and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable meal.

My husband & I, my sister and my son all went for lunch on a Saturday. It wasn't quite what I was expecting but we were all pleasantly surprised. Everybody but me got the spiced lamb souvlai, which was ground meat on a skewer. I tried the oregano chicken. Mine was tender, flavorful grilled chicken. I loved it! I have always thought of souvlaki as a Greek version of a gyro-meat in a pita wrap with sauce & veggies. Not here. You get the meat and a pickled vegetable and that's it. That's why you need some sides and bread. The bread is better than a lot of pita I've had. We also got an order of hummas (some of the best I've had anywhere. Maybe it's because they put a dab of zhoug-a mixture of herbs & spices packed with flavor. It was as smooth as silk), as well as beet salad. It had quinoa that seemed to have been fried because it had a slight crunch which I loved. It was the perfect foil for the golden beets and radish in the salad. We ordered just the right amount of food for the 4 of us (one piece of pita each, one salad, one hummus and an order each of souvlaki). I noticed some vegetarian options on the menu as well. We all agreed we want to come back and bring the spouses who couldn't make it. Looks like I forgot to take pics of the meat. You'll just have to be surprised!

And since I didn't want to order half the menu I just went for the falafel balls and the halloumi fries. Again I think it's bizarre that they don't offer a little sampler platter for you to try a few things. But I digress. The falafel balls were hard as rocks. They were fried too much and they weren't anything special. The fries were also nothing special the least they could've done was actually melt the cheese on the fries to make them gooey but they didn't even do that. The service was wonderful. And I did enjoy having the kitchen in the middle of the restaurant so you can watch some cooking your food. However the food here was not worth coming back for. I'm starting to realize a lot of people in Portland don't have sophisticated pallets they're probably the same people who think McDonald's serves gourmet cheeseburgers. I also don't understand why a Greek restaurant is serving Middle Eastern food like falafel? It would be nice if they had strictly Greek dishes and stuck to them and made them really well. I don't know any other Greek restaurant in Portland especially on the east side.
