Found a dead roach in my food. Never again.

Found a dead roach in my salad today. I can't tell you how disgusted I am. I will never visit this restaurant again.

Monterey Wrap
Mike S.

Located in the Latta Arcade this place is insanely popular and usually brings a large line of hungry bank employees. Don't let the line intimidate you though it usually moves pretty fast and it is busy for a reason. Their salads are fantastic but I think the real mvp is their monterey wrap. Piles of chicken and bacon in a delectable chipotle sauce wrapped up in a spinach wrap along with some cheese and lettuce. There isn't any seating inside so take it to go and enjoy!

Asian salad , slightly disappointing

Long awaited trip to crisp was extremely disappointing. It's very small inside but they keep the line moving quickly. I ordered the Asian Salad and it was extremely disappointing. Chicken was flavorless and dry. The dressing lacked the punch of flavor this salad really needed. The quantity is plentiful but was left wanting to "doctor it up" somehow because I was hungry.

Chicken hummus wrap.
Eberechi A.

I ordered the Chicken Hummus wrap with a side of avacado. I didn't see the avacado (+$1) in my wrap but it was packed with lots of red onion instead. This made the wrap dry and difficult to eat despite having to wait over 5mins in line and another 10mins to get the food out.

Build your own salad - Roasted turkey, apples, pears, red onions, cucumbers, oranges, tomatoes

I order from here through seamless for lunch a few times a week. The wraps and salad are fairly good salad dressing not always tasty so I keep my own in deck. I recommend the Monterey Wrap and the build your own salad for the best experience!

Turkey Bacon Apple Salad w/ Apple Cider Vinaigrette
Katherine T.

12:30p and the line out the door is not too bad. Wait was less than 8 minutes to order. Person taking the order is multi-tasking but is listening when asked her to go east on the dressing. The person at register was quick and smiled as I paid. My salad was ready less than a minute. I had the special of the day- turkey bacon apple salad in an apple cider vinaigrette. Romaine was cut chunky. Abundance of turkey wheels, large bacon bits, sliced toasted almonds, sliced apples, and blue cheese. Dressing was not too tart either. Cost: $10 and some change. It's a good filling fresh salad. Service was just fine. Next time I forget my lunch, I'll come here, unless I find a place where fresh salads are a bit cheaper in price.

This salad has so much flavor
Erica G.

This salad is the traditional Cobb salad but the dressing kicks it up a notch, with a hint of lemon and sweetness it's a must try again. The ingredients taste super fresh and this salad is absolutely a good deal for the money

A refreshing and varied take on salad offerings, which is not that plentiful, in downtown Charlotte.

Only a couple of each. They have a cauliflower wrap instead of bread for sandwiches but I was skeptical and did not order. The sandwiches look absolutely incredible. My bowl was fantastic. Steak was cooked perfectly! The yucca fries were delicious, so crispy. They validate 1 hour of parking in the parking garage attached. I will be coming back!

You order at the counter then get a number. Your food is brought to you. We weren't too hungry so opted to share a beef sandwich. The beef sandwich: 4 stars. Hubby was pretty happy with it. Crispy bread filled with cubed marinated beef. Great flavors. Only issue is the beef kinda fall out if the sandwich. I like that the bread was not too thick. Yucca fries : 5 stars. Well done!! Tender and soft inside, crispy outside. Tastes great with the accompanying dip. Passionfruit juice: tart and refreshing. I enjoyed it well. 4.5 stars. Inca cola: has the special flavor like cola champagne (Central American cola) I would like to come back again to try their other sandwich.

They are…read moreknown for their sub sandwiches served on a crunchy Dutch bread that I have also heard called tiger bread! I'm sad to say I was feeling less adventurous that day so instead of the Dutch bread I opted for a regular white hoagie roll instead. They also offer all of their sandwiches in a wrap as well if that is more your speed. Their signature sandwiches all come with a number of their own unique ingredients but it's important to note that they have a standard blend of toppings that comes on each sandwich similar to jersey mikes and their "mikes way". I'm glad this was explained to me because I don't know how they would have possibly fit that many ingredients on my sandwich! I went with the Ellie Get In My Belly which came with some tangy honey mustard based barbecue sauce as well as their special Kicks white sauce. The sandwich was delicious although I think they may have gone a little too overboard with the sauce as the sandwich was very messy. That being said I can tolerate messy if the flavors are good and this was a very tasty sandwich and a great lunch. As with most places in the Monarch Market it is a little pricey, but that's the cost of having a small business operate Uptown. I would definitely recommend checking out Kicks next time you're looking for lunch options or find yourself perusing the Monarch Market.

Rhino Market & Deli feels like the kind of neighborhood spot that every city wishes it had…read more This Wesley Heights location is one of my favorite easy stops in Charlotte. It's right on the way to my yoga studio, so it's perfect for a quick in-and-out lunch, but honestly, it's also the kind of place where you end up lingering longer than planned. My usual order is the ABLT on rye with Boar's Head applewood smoked bacon, avocado, lettuce, tomato, and mayo. Simple, fresh, and consistently delicious every single time. I almost always pair it with the Spinach Bacon salad loaded with spinach, cranberries, goat cheese, tomatoes, toasted pecans, and brown sugar peppered bacon. The portions are huge and definitely shareable. What makes Rhino special is that it's more than just a deli. It's part neighborhood market, part coffee shop, part beer and wine stop, and part community hangout. They've got local products, grab-and-go snacks, fresh sandwiches, beer on tap, wine, outdoor patio seating, and sometimes even live music. It reminds me of the small independent spots I used to love in the Bay Area around Burlingame, San Mateo, and Palo Alto. Relaxed, local, welcoming, and full of personality. The staff is always friendly, and the atmosphere feels genuinely Charlotte. Not overly polished. Not trying too hard. Just good food, good people, and a place that locals clearly love. And if you are visiting North Carolina, you absolutely have to try Cheerwine at least once. It's basically a Carolina rite of passage. Cherry soda lovers will probably be obsessed. Me personally? Not exactly my flavor profile, but people here drink it like water, so clearly they are onto something. Rhino Market is one of those places that makes a city feel like home. Life is too short to not eat well, Charlotte. Get out there.

You order at one window, grab an extra items, pay, then they'll call your name/number. Super easy. I ordered the Rhino Club described on the menu as: Boar's Head Branded Deluxe Ham, Lower Sodium Turkey, Applewood Smoked Bacon, provolone, bibb lettuce, tomato, dijon vin on choice of bread. The ordering and payment process was easy. I was solo so I took a seat at the bar area to eat. Sandwich looked good when I unwrapped it, large slices of toasted bread with fresh lettuce and tomato. The strangest thing was, on the left side of the sandwich were several slices of deli turkey rolled up. On the right side of the sandwich were several slices of deli ham rolled up. I hadn't seen a sandwich made like that before. It felt like half of a turkey sandwich and half of a ham sandwich as opposed to a ham and turkey sandwich. Was it bad? Definitely not. I waffled between a 3 and a 4 star for this one but felt generous because, overall, I liked the vibe of the place.
