We stopped by Common Market in South End before the football game to grab a quick bite and a yummy beer -- and it did not disappoint! I love all the sandwich options here; you're guaranteed to find something delicious. We went with the Pimpin D, a perfectly grilled pimento cheese sandwich on sourdough loaded with freshly sliced tomato and crispy bacon. It paired perfectly with my fruit punch ale! Not sure what to pick?! Everyone at the bar is sure to point you in the right direction if you are looking for a beer suggestion or what sandwich to pick. Great staff! Such a cool, chill vibe in South End and the perfect way to kick off our Sunday Funday. Definitely a spot we'll be coming back to!
This establishment is super cool inside. You order your food off a blackboard at the counter, wait for your name to be called, and then pick it up at a small window peering into their kitchen. My sando was delicious with super fresh veggies and deli meat. Their coffee was also great. They have all drinks to choose from in their fridge from alcoholic to non. The decor inside was an eclectic collection of things. Def worth coming to for brunch or lunch. Till next time....
Don't sleep on Common Market's breakfast! So amazing! I've tried a lot of their options but my favorite is their build your own bowl. So many awesome options and can easily make vegetarian and it's quite hearty.
Twice visited and great both times. Staff is super friendly and food is ready very quickly. I've had the regular menu item Beef and Cheddar as well as a Bahn Mi that was on the specials list (needs to be full time). Both were good and well portioned. The Bahn Mi is *chefs kiss* excellent! It also happens to be one of the more affordable joints in the area. Big plus for glass water cup as well! I don't normally like to talk about decor (why? Just here to eat) but this place is pure chaos in the best way possible. Just random art and stuff all over. And it's dim, like dark. It's a very weird cozy place to have lunch.
For being called "Common" Market, this unique (yet amazing) establishment is not common at all! Upon arriving, you already know this doesn't necessarily fit the "South End" trendy vibe, and that's A-OK! When you step inside, it makes your head turn. It is super quirky, fun, retro, recycled, but has modern twists on food and drinks. There is a standard bar for drinks as well as refrigerator doors like in a grocery store that you can grab canned craft beverages from, as well as non-alcoholic beverages. There's a walk-up kitchen to place your order at, and you'll hear your name called over an intercom system from wherever you're sitting (inside, outside, upstairs) for you to pick up your food. It's also a great spot for any type of night out. Pregame, chill, date night, breakfast, lunch, really any time is a great time to go! Parking isn't great, as it is South End, but it's also in a very walkable and accessible area. It definitely gives the "stay weird" vibes but all styles of people go here and you should too!

Hubby and I along with his brother and our sister in law had planned to check out Common Market in Southend for brunch while in Charlotte. We ordered and grabbed a table on the patio outside. I ordered the mama's bowl. I absolutely loved the old school mill grits! They were creamy and had really good texture. The bacon was cooked just right and the local sourdough was very yummy! Everything I wanted in a breakfast bowl. Hubby ordered the fire inside breakfast burrito. This combo was really good. Potatoes, egg, pepper-jack cheese, bacon, onions, peppers, jalapeños, firecrackers sauce - yum! They had just ran out of dark roast coffee when we order but made us a fresh pot while we waited for our food. Great service! We will definitely be back next time we're in Charlotte!

Oh my...oh my! If you want a sandwich, this is the place to visit. You're welcomed by quite the eclectic collection of memorabilia and a friendly staff and cool, local vibe. Head to the back and grab a beverage, chips , and order a sandwich. I had the toasted spicy turkey. Wow! Perfect on all counts. Nicely toasted and melty, delicious turkey, and just the right spice with the banana peppers. I added some dill pickle potato chips and a local Charlotte IPA. Trust me when I say you have to visit the Common Market!
Popped in for a quick breakfast a few weeks back. I love how chill common market always is. It was early on a Saturday so parking was a breeze in South End. I ordered the croissant, egg, cheese and sausage. My receipt says pork sausage, but I'm pretty sure it was turkey and that's just a typo. I hope lol. Anywho, it was hot and tasty but nothing to write home about. But hey that's the common market vibe. Gets the job done and it's affordable. The hash brown situation was super good though! I also love their coffee but I didn't get any this trip. I like this location, it's pretty big inside and they have some outdoor seating for the warmer months. The OG location is my fav though, but happy to see them in this area too!
I am a huge fan, and if I still lived in Charlotte I'd probably get lunch here a few times a week. I was craving a really good sandwich and was looking around online and found Common Market. I loved the amount of options they had and every picture that people had posted looked amazing so I came over immediately. It's definitely a cute convenience store vibe inside with a bar you can drink at too and other snacks throughout the store. Everyone inside was really friendly. They have a long list of sandwiches they created to order but you can build your own and literally get it any way you want. The topping options were endless. I got a pressed sourdough sandwich with avocado smash, turkey, mixed greens, pepper jack cheese, honey mustard, mayo, and cider braised onions. It was big, delicious, filling, affordable (around $10), and hit the spot. It only took like 5-10 minutes to come out too. I really wish they had turkey bacon too but it's okay.

Always so excited to try their rotating monthly specials! This month's breakfast OTM is focaccia bread with egg, bacon, arugula, whipped goat cheese and hot honey! Im a huge spice wimp so I said no hot honey, and did regular honey instead! Just a light drizzle, nothing huge, but can appreciate the sublte sweetness towards the hearty bacon and egg! Common Market puts such love into their vegan dishes. Buddha-rito was outstanding and fresh! Incredible flavor and the type of thing anyone would enjoy vegan or not. I love this location - it's huge! It's a nice contrast to surrounding South End spots and it has a fun funky vibe. Service is always quick so you're never waiting long for your order. read more

There are so many unique and random things to take pictures of in this establishment? restaurant? bar? Very hard to pinpoint the vibes, all I can really come up with is like "chill junkyard." The staff was super friendly and helpful when it came to choosing a drink. The Market included a variety of wine, beer (which you can buy on tap or in packs from local breweries around charlotte). Drinks selection was pretty affordable. Plus, they have a selection of daily soups and chips to snack on. They also have weekly events like free Trivia on Tuesday, Jazz and Wine nights, karaoke, comedy open mics. Limited parking in a gravel lot available, if light railing in - get off at East/West station. Will definitely be back! read more

YUM!!!! Stopped in for a sandwich when I was visiting friends in CLT. Was so good and so fresh! They have so many options and the service was so fast. The ambiance was very cool if it wasn't lunch on a work day I would have loved to grab a glass or wine or craft beer. Def check it out if you're n town. I was looking for a reasonably price breakfast in Southend and decided to give Common Market a try. The inside is full of all kinds of wonders and treats. They have a little bit of everything. I was throughly amazed by the variety of items and the options available at the deli/food area. I knew I wanted a breakfast sandwich but didn't know exactly what kind. I was presented with a wide variety of breads, meat options and styles for my breakfast sandwich. I decided on the Breakfast Capri with Asiago Bagel and pork sausage. The sandwich was huge. It tasted delicious. I was very happy with my choice. Every employee I came in contact with was helpful and answered all the questions I had. The guy at the check out counter even asked me about being apart of their sandwich club and gave me a punch card. I'm glad my search lead me to Common Market Southend. Let me start off by saying that I am a Common Market (CM) snob and I've been THEE loyal customer since the: 1) Phat Burrito Days 2) Food Truck Friday days in the ORIGINAL South End (SE) location 3) Original Location (bring a chair/blanket & get your favorite 6 pack and/or wine) This place has never disappointed me not one bit. I've been to every location which are: 1) CM SE 2) CM Plaza ($3 CRAFT DRAFT THURS ) 3) CM Oakwold All of the location are equally impressive which quality products and service. This is how you CM: (i) Check out the menu to order one of their amazing sandwiches/wraps for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. (ii) Grab chips, beer/wine/drink, snacks, or whatever is shining on the shelves that grabs your attention. (iii) Place your order and check out at the register. It's as simple as 1,2,3 (a,b,c) . CM is also work friendly and I explore that option every chance I get (I work remotely). All in all, CM is a Charlotte staple and welcomes all at EVERY location. Hopefully, there's one in your neighborhood. If not, still, go check it out. IT'S WORTH IT! O_o read more

My boyfriend and I come here ever Sunday after Mass for breakfast. Awesome vibes - lots of fun decor to look at and plenty of seating. Reasonable prices for a large quantity of food -$19 for two breakfasts + 2 drinks. They are very slow which is why I'm docking a star but it hasn't stopped us from coming. Also don't forget to get a punch card - 10 punches = a free meal! read more

Had heard great things about the CM and were lured via a BOGO coupon on late a Sunday morning for lunch. Glad we tried it! The overall vibe is hip and funky. Decor is urban/industrial chic. Seating is available all over the place: Inside at the bar, at a large community table, and on two levels of casual dining in what appears to be an old garage AND outside, on a balcony and on a sprawling patio. Customers were lounging throughout and appeared very comfortable and content. Although somewhat unsure what to do upon entering the front door, our 16 year old daughters quickly figured out that we were to order at a small window to left, in the back, which we did. A wide variety of sandwiches and salads were available and were made fresh and delivered quickly. My wife's Mediterranean Salad was huge and loaded with good stuff like hummus, black olive salad, toboullah salad and other fresh veggies. It easily provided two meals. My roast beef wrap was tasty but a bit stringy on the meat. My daughter's BLTs were made with a delicious smoked bacon. Overall, everything was quite good and reasonably priced. There is also a coffee bar immediately upon entry, and a plethora of beverage options available in a bevy of refrigerated cases. Sanitation score was a 97. Service is minimal yet friendly. Such a fun place with a lot of character! My sandwich was so yummy and they have a good selection of local beers on draft. The employees were super nice and helpful. Really good vibes at this place, and there's a parking lot for easy parking! read more
Great space, to hang out as you can see in the pictures the vibe is relaxed. I came here for a bite to eat during lunch time before the kitchen closes. I order a great tasting sandwich. If you want to study and snack or even grab a drink, this place is a hidden gem. It's been a few days and I'm behind on my review but I recommend this place if you just want to hang with a few friends or so. read more

This is one of my favorite spots in South End. The bacon egg and cheese bagel is to die for. With local ingredients and a fair price it can't be beat. The coffee selection is top tier too. Adding an eclectically wide array of wines, beers, kombuchas, energy drinks, and juices make for Common Market to be your all day spot. Everything I've had to eat is great and I'm always impressed with how big their menu is. The wild vibe is always fun to show off some of the crunch that this neighborhood can exude. Cashiers and bartenders have always been chatty and friendly and seem to fit the vibes perfectly. My only wish was for the inside to be dog friendly so my morning walks could include a CM coffee and breakfast! The outside is lovely and I look forward to warmer weather and lots of afternoons and sunsets from the patio =] read more
