Love this sports bar! They have a free parking lot. They have tons of TVs inside and outside. Great drink selection. For food our group ordered the fried pickles and buffalo chicken dip which were both great and 20 wings: sweet chili, garlic parmesan, sriracha, mango habanero. All the wings were delicious!! Definitely would return when in the Charlotte area.

Overall a great sports bar with ample amounts of TVs to catch any game. Swung by for the NCAA tournament and they had the sound for the games on (huge plus imo), great beer specials and very affordable food. Sandwich was delicious and the salads were huge! Friendly and attentive wait staff as well. 2 great covered patios with heaters, TVs and plenty of outdoor space. Whether you're going for an event, to catch a game or just a casual lunch/dinner in Wesley area - it's worth checking out!

Loved this place! Both the burger and sandwich were fantastic! Service was both friendly and quick. The bartender was super attentive and kept checking in with us. Would highly recommend! Great atmosphere to watch sports.

Our server was quick to say hello and seemed knowledgeable about the menu and the area. I ordered the Nashville chicken without the sauce, hubs getting the French Dip. A very chill location, though we are outside. I do not know what inside is like.

Went to this spot on a whim and it gave what it needed to give. True tavern vibes with plenty of seating indoor and outdoor. There are TVs all over the room so you can watch any sports game there. The service was great, and the food didn't take long once ordered. I just ordered appetizers this night and had a couple beers. They do have different drink specials every day of the week. Food was tasty and filling. Nice little spot in the Charlotte area.

We were headed by for a quick sandwich but we ended up sitting at a table perfectly angled to see the two top games of today! Eagles vs. Commanders and Panthers vs. Vikings. We got all our drinks fast and cold and all our food hot and fast! We tried the onion rings and the Sriracha hot wings. I think these are the best wings I have had so far in Charlotte (I know, but trust me) crispy, moist, meaty and dripping with glistening sausy flavor goodness! The onion rings seemed to be breaded in a special seasoned batter that sets them apart from others and they were crispy with a tender onion ring inside. My new favorite spot to watch the football, great crowd, affordable drinks and tasty snacks! I would love to see them expand the dessert menu to have a few treats to celebrate if our team won.

I usually would not get a shrimp po boy at a place like this but I'm glad I did. It was the Thursday lunch special for 12$. The sandwich overall was decent, but the sauce is what made it. It was spicy and bold with every bite. Fried were typical. Not bad for a lunch spot. Our waitress was quick and efficient. Definitely seems like a night spot to drink at but the place was cool for a lunch.

Decided to venture out of the sea of mediocrity otherwise known as the Ballantyne sports bar scene, and boy am I glad I did as Freemore Tavern single-handedly renewed my faith in the sports bar scene here in Charlotte. The service was quick, efficient and friendly from start to finish, including the manager sitting down to get my thoughts and actually listening to my opinions, which was a refreshing change from the typical manager drive by's at most places. The wings were nice and hot and full of flavor, and they were also nice and big, not puny like some other places here in town. And last but not least, they are actually embracing being a sports bar as they are committed to playing sound and not generic music during games this football season. Yeah, it's kind of a haul from Ballantyne, but given that it's only a short quarter mile walk from BofA stadium, we will definitely be making this our pregame spot before the Heels game Labor Day weekend, and I fully expect to make the trip back more than a few Saturdays this season, as this place has the potential to be the "cheers bar" I have been searching for. Very well done, Freemore Tavern, and welcome to the Five Star Club!

This place was pretty empty for a bar on a Friday night around 9-10pm We decided to sit outside which was peaceful but they definitely need to have some fans blowing for when it's hotter during the day The food was pretty good for bar food (6.5/10). I enjoyed the veggie quesadilla (and they have cholula for hot sauce ) Good service - staff was on top of it (but maybe because we were the only ones sitting outside?)

I went inside to get a manager to let them know that we hadn't been greeted. Another server came saying we weren't in his section but he'd take us. The manager brought us out some queso and chips as an I'm sorry. I specifically asked the server, Ohran, what tacos were included in the 2.50 street tacos listed on their board as their Tuesday special and was told all of them. I then asked him again "so all the tacos are considered street tacos" and he said yes. So, imagine my surprise when we received the receipts and were charged full price. The manager came over and basically said there was nothing that he was able to do because there were no specials being ran on cinco de mayo & his employee said that he did not say that. Of course he's gonna say that. He doesn't wanna take the fall. I worked at Maggiano's and Red Lobster for about 10 years total so I know how the serving life is but the fact that I had to go flag down someone to get service, we asked twice for waters and didn't receive them until the third ask, we didn't get napkins until after our food was out and we had to ASK for them and then we get told the wrong price???? Yeah I'll never be back and that sucks because the tacos were so good thanks to the Honduran chef who smokes a lot of weed (that's what our server told us. Very professional of him right?????).

I ordered two tacos, one chicken, one steak. I feel like all street tacos should come wrapped in foil for the 'experience' but then I'd imagine the restaurant would have to charge the true price of $2.50-$3 a taco, what I feel they're worth. I do think the price was a bit much considering what I ordered but it wasn't terrible. I would appreciate fresh house made corn tortillas vs hard store bought ones but it's charlotte after all. And what's with the one tortilla? True Cali tacos come with two tortillas. The chicken taco was greasy and the loose guacamole wasn't able to absorb into the hard tortilla. It was messy! However, I'd order the steak taco again. I loved the pickled onions on the side, they were a nice addition to the steak. Not really a southern Cali thing but a nice twist I enjoyed. Overall, I'd try them again on payday .

I ordered the carne asada and was genuinely excited, but it was a letdown from the start. They never asked how I wanted the steak cooked, which is a huge mistake. Then they covered the steak in cheese--why? That completely overpowered everything. I couldn't even taste the chimichurri. A suggestion: grill the steak properly and serve it simply. If you need cast iron, use a skillet--not a cast iron bowl. Don't drown it in cheese, and please don't cut my steak for me. I'm a grown adult and can handle that myself. We got two Burrito Fresas (one grilled chicken and one chicken tinga). The burritos had the COOLEST crunchy cheese coating on the tortilla that the hugs all of the ingredients inside the burrito. SORBET MARGARITAS! I'm obsessed. I had initially seen Que Fresca on social media, specifically for the soft serve margs. And let me tell you - they did nit disappoint. The idea is that place your order, pick a seat and your order is delivered to you. We picked our seats at the bar first because it was pretty packed for Friday night. We took our time to browse the menu but we knew we'd be getting the IG viral Sorbet flights we'd seen. Now on first attempt we got our food, it was completely cold. We informed one of the waiters and asked for our meals to be remade. So upon getting my food second time: 1 Birria Taco, 1 Chips and Queso and 1 Chicken Tinga, it was warm. The Birria taco was my favorite as the chicken didn't hold too much flavor for me. Now we ordered 2 Sorbet flights. We didn't get them as advertised.. no rim coating and the flavor offerings were duplicated. As we compared what we got from other patrons we saw what was missing and the flavor differences. Overall our meal and drinks were underwhelming and we let the staff and manager on hand know. She apologized for not making our Sorbets with rim coating and the food mishap. As guest of NC for the weekend, our host told us we'd gone to the wrong location.
