Local watering hole that's been here nearly 90 years. Let's just say they're dialed in. Even when slammed on an Autumn Saturday afternoon with 1,000 football games televised to a million big screens. Awesome. Our party of five scored a table and were promptly waited on and without much delay, received both our drinks and then entrees within reasonable time limits. Everything went quite smoothly. Came here for lunch after a work meeting as recommended by locals. Overall, not a bad spot to watch sports and have a few brews. The menu is very extensive and a bit overwhelming. I ended up just ordering the first thing on the menu, which was the Blackened Chicken Pasta ($16.50). Not spaghetti noodles as they advertised, but still delicious. read more

I've been during the football season and it's packed in there lots of Panthers Fans! TVs line every wall, so you're never missing a play, no matter where you sit. Ed's Tavern is a popular local spot to watch football on the weekends. Ed's is jam packed on Saturdays, so I would not expect to walk in and immediately find a spot to sit. That is my only downside to Ed's. It has a great atmosphere if you are looking for a place to get good food, drinks, and to watch some sports. Even with a packed restaurant, the service is quick and the staff is nice. They have good bar food as well. Good sports bar atmosphere, waiters can be a bit in a rush at times nothing terrible. I think they have some good wings though I was disgusted with the Cajun flavor rub. It was a weird texture and it tasted burnt, not sure what was going on but would not get again. The Nashville flavor on the other hand...AMAZING! Only going to get that flavor from here on out. It was my first time at Ed's. It has a nice sports bar vibe with a big outdoor seating deck. You have a waiter but have to get your own water. The food is good but the waitress messed our order up. We come to Ed's very often to watch games. Today it was advertised that they would have the game and when we called to confirm they told us they had the game. When we got here they said they cannot change the bar audio from the music and said the games would be on some of the TV's around the restaurant. The game is on two TV's, they are one spot away from each other, in the corner of the bar. This is pretty poor misrepresentation from management and we likely will not be back. read more

I had a great time at Ed's Tavern. We stopped by on Wednesday to check out the music bingo. There was plenty of seating but I'd advise getting there 30min early to grab a spot to sit if you have a big party. The music bingo was fun but took forever! They should shorten the songs because it made each round last super long. Each round was a different genre. There were two rounds, but it probably could have been 3 if the songs were shorter. Make sure your phone is charged...the game is played on it! They have tons of seating indoor and outdoor. Lots of TVs too, it would be a great place to watch panthers or cltfc games. Recently went to Ed's again. Great spot to watch football on Saturdays and Sundays. Arrive early if you want a spot to sit down. People come and go between games but no one really leaves tables during the games. They have all the games on and options to watch inside or outside. Bar service is good. Table service is ok, but again, it is just a sports bar. Food is your typical bar food. Fries are always top notch. Tots were the right amount of crispy. Chicken tenders were not very good yesterday. Dry without a lot of meet. Cheesesteak egg rolls were good but the side of lettuce was a bit odd. Overall, a great spot to go to watch sports ! read more

Ed's is a casual fun hangout spot for friends. Good bar food love their quesadilla but yesterday I opted for the strawberry salad with chicken it's pretty yummy! We went to Ed's for music bingo (every Wednesday) which is super fun but yesterday it felt very dragged out, it took forever for the host to switch the song to the point we ended up leaving because we thought it was never going to end. Same as inside, tv's everywhere. And the best part is the this location offers all of the televised games. I ate light with the Turkey Bacon Avocado Smash with Cucumber Salad. i want to start off this review by saying the ambience is great here. if you like a classic sports bar with good music then this is your place. However, if you also like mid food and bad service, then this is DEFINITELY your place. Tori was our server, and i do not think i've ever experienced more bland or rude service in my life. it felt like it was an inconvenience for her to serve us the whole time. will probably be back during to the great atmosphere but if we get tori as our server again we might have to skedaddle. read more

Unfortunately, we didn't enjoy our time at Ed's Tavern. While the tavern style food was good, TVs displayed the games, and the general aesthetic; our service was lackluster. After remarkably slow service, we had a minor issue with our bill conflicting what we ordered. Our server wasn't empowered to fix it, instead disrespecting our party. Then the promised manager only sent our server back out whom we were unhappy with only to continue the experience. While slow, an otherwise pleasant but slow experience was ruined by poor personalities and management. I hope this changes for future guests or it could ruin a great local spot. read more
