Moo & Brew continues to be a solid go-to for us. I tried the patty melt this time and it was exactly what you want it to be, melty, savory, and packed with flavor. My boyfriend went with the bison burger and loved it. We've been here a few times now and the food is consistently great, which I really appreciate. The only reason this isn't a full five stars is the sweet potato fries; they just tasted like they needed a bit more time to get that perfect crisp. This is the best non-commercial burger spot in CLT hands down. The ingredients are quality and offer a great variety. You can get classic cheeseburger or a cool speciality. The vibe is fun very eclectic with ample inside and outside seating. The service is Amazing! We've never had a bad experience with the people at this spot. They really care to give you great food at a great price with quite a few going above and beyond. The only improvement that would push this place over the top is better beer maintenance. I've had many different kinds of beers over many seasons here and they're never good. Either skunk tasting, flat, or room temp. We now only order cocktails if we want to drink here. Large patio, mystery drinks, & fun vibes! We came here for late night food & drinks after an improv show at the Charlotte Comedy Theater on a Friday night. Showing up to the outside window around 10:15pm, we were informed that the only food offerings at that time were appetizers. There wasn't a menu to look at, and the staff member just rattled out the options. The most substantial pick were the chicken tenders, so most of us ordered those, and we also got an order of cheese curds. To drink, my husband and I took a walk on the wild side and got two $2 brown bag specials, which are essentially random cans served in brown paper bags. I got a Coors heavy (not typically my preference, but fine), and hubs got a Beast peach hard seltzer that tasted like a peach ring gummy + stevia. I didn't have high expectations, and for that price point, you really can't complain! Our names were called back up to the window when our food orders were ready. The cheese curds were hot and well fried, and I really enjoyed the sauce they came with. Great with beer! The chicken tenders weren't the best I've had in terms of texture and thickness, but they did the job, and the fries they came with were really nice. Good service, solid burgers, small dining room, good luck finding parking. The four of us came on a Fri night and it was super hard to find parking. Fortunately, we were able to get immediately seated inside. The outdoor dining area more than doubles the inside space....so if the weather is decent there is far more seating. We started with Midwest Cheese Curds ($9) and they were a hit. Beer selection was good....but expected more local IPA's. My bride ordered the Cooper River ($14) and it was fine. Moo and brew has always had fantastic food. I work close enough to here where this is a common restaurant we throw around in our rotations. All burgers have been solid. Cooked to temp perfectly, fries always well seasoned. Food has never had an "off" day. They are consistent! But man oh man, what made me so happy was how my experience was above and beyond-- on a to go order. I wish i caught the name of the gentleman helping me. I placed a large Togo order of 12 entrees and sides. This sweet baby angel face went ABOVE and beyond and labeled everyone's food. My friends and I were looking for a place to sit outside since it was such a beautiful day today and we had a dog with us. Moo and Brew popped into our minds! Our server was super sweet and the menu had a good variety of options. I do wish that the sandwiches/burgers came with the side, so be aware of that given that the price of each of those does not come with that. The fries are a very generous portion, although they do cost $9. I got the farmers daughter burger, which wasn't bad but I thought it lacked a little bit of flavor in the burger. My husband and I went here for dinner on a Sunday night and the atmosphere and food is okay. But I can't justify a burger for $13.50 that doesn't come with a side of fries. You'd have to pay an additional $4 for a mediocre side of regular fries. My husband got an extra patty on his burger that cost us $5 for a double. His burger was also $13.50 so $18.50 for just his burger again with no side of fries, in my opinion, is completely ridiculous. On top of that their lower end alcohol like beer are $7+ give or take a few choices. I don't know if they allow smoking but I have asthma and I can't breathe if some someone smokes near me. People are rude and if they smoke they don't care if you can breathe. A family member told me about this place and I figured it would be a perfect way to start the night. We were quickly helped and got right into ordering some of their drinks as we did not plan on eating. I ended up ordering a couple different draft beers and drinks they offered on the menu and found all of them to be quite delicious. Our waitress, Laura was incredibly kind and efficient with getting our drinks out. The bartender, Sabrina was also great with mixing our drinks and providing conversation. You can find Moo & Brew at 1300 Central Ave, Charlotte, NC 28205 as a standalone building with parking to either side - there's additional parking depending on the time of your visit as several of the nearby businesses close early - Moo & Brew stays open pretty late. This is my first visit to this neat burger and beer joint - we were in the area looking for food and managed to settle into Pilot Brewing for a final beer (we had visited Wooden Robot, Burial and Legion previously so we were pretty ripped). After Pilot most wanted to get food but it was so late there weren't many options. I ended up at Moo & Brew with a companion for a final beer and a burger. For dinner I tried the Pied Piper - Jalapeno bacon firecrackers, pepper jack cheese, pickled jalapenos and diablo mayo - sounds hot but really it wasn't bad - I enjoyed it a lot. For drinks we tried: * Birdsong Pink Robots Kettle Sour 4/5 - I liked this quite a bit - perfect amount of tart raspberry and blackberry to accompany the burger ordered at Moo & Brew Charlotte. Easy drinking well balanced sweet-to-sour ratio finishing with a lingering tart dryness. * Fonta Flora Bloody Butcher (2021) Grisette 4.2/5 - Easy drinking farmhouse with tart full body, interesting earthy and sweet corn notes, finishing dry, funky and slightly sweet. Quite good. We sat at the bar where the service was top-notch and had some interesting conversations with locals (guy to the left of me asked "you like sours?" - we talked for a bit and he ultimately ordered a PBR, go figure). Guy to the right of us was very talkative waxing poetic about GABF. He offered up some suggestions for places we should try - always welcome. Afterward I commented that in Atlanta no one would randomly talk to you in a bar - people seem to be a lot more friendly in Charlotte for sure! read more

I have always passed by this place on wkends and it's usually packed so decided to try it during the wk on my lunch break. Excellent decision lol. Only a few patrons at the bar, rest of the seats empty so I was seated right away by a friendly hostess who also served as my waitress. She kept my drink full without me having to ask (major kudos for that). I tried the salmon burger and added bacon. Also got the parm garlic fries which were really good. The fries are separate so just be aware of that. Place isn't huge, but they do have some outdoor seating as well. It looks like it would be an awesome wkend spot if you can get there early enough to snag a table and parking spot, since the parking lot isn't huge either, I think it's shared with a few other businesses. Any burger with bacon wrapped jalapeno is going to be great! The fries were also great! Located in Plaza Midwood, it's around a ton of breweries, bars/pubs, shopping, etc. Parking is located on the side of the building, but you can easily park on the street, catch an Uber/Lift or just scooter over!
