Unfortunately, I have to update the review--still think most of the staff are good people still think Dr. B & Dr. C are both good dentists ... However, there are HUGE issues within the organization, and honesty isn't their strong suit... Unfortunately, for the last two years, I have been assured that my dental procedures WILL BE COVERED BY MY INSURANCE... But guess what? NOT A SINGLE DARN BIT OF IT WAS COVERED!!! I was really hesitant in 2025 to do any more serious dental work, but I was assured BEFORE I did my procedure, that everything was fine (especially after I had issues in 2024!). However, last year, I spent $3000+ because of things NOT BEING COVERED! I will be looking for a new dental office that will be HONEST and UPFRONT about the cost instead of using bait and switch.... They dentist work itself was the very best! We are just highly disappointed in how they delt with the insurance company and following up with us on what was not covered. We requested they ask the insurance for a peer review to get it covered. I followed up several times and they would tell me they were working on it. Then I got a small claims notice they were suing for the amount due. All they had to do was follow up with us and we would of paid the balance. read more

Like others, I'm pretty surprised to see the negative reviews. I initially chose Crisdental since they're one of the only practices in Eugene that accepts my insurance. I'm glad I didn't read these negative reviews beforehand because my experience was very good. Dr. Bratland was very personable and was the only dentist I've had that didn't dismiss the sensitivity issues I've been having with my gums for years. I was happily given an optional treatment I was never offered by previous dentists (who would always give me the typical "don't brush as hard" advice). The hygienist was also good -- she made sure to communicate and ensure I was never hurting or uncomfortable. I'm not sure my opinion will change with subsequent visits, but so far I will continue to go with Crisdental. read more

My experience with Crisdental was very short lived. We had to find a new dentist as our old dentist stopped taking our insurance. My initial experience with the front end receptionist at Crisdental should have been an immediate indication of the service I would receive at this office. From the initial interactions I found her to be short/pushy and not just not overall welcoming (especially to a new client). I will mention this was the younger blonde receptionist so perhaps it does not apply to all but it definitely was not a great first experience with her. From there the care unfortunately that followed was about the same. I found the dentist to be about the same as the receptionist a bit short and I did not feel he took the time he should have with a new patient. He was very adamant one of my teeth was "cracking" in several areas and made me to believe it was of utmost importance I got that tooth corrected with a removal of a silver filling and refilled with a resin filling. Being that I am not a dentist, I of course took his advice and trusted he knew what was best for my oral healthcare. I booked an apt and when I went to the apt he had since hired on a new dentist to work alongside him. She did the filling for me and made the comment that "the crack wasn't that bad at all" leading me to believe this crack truly was not as bad as he made it out to seem and that it was an unnecessary procedure. Being that I am someone who has always gone to the dentist every 6 months and this was the first time I was ever informed of these "major" cracks and now his own new hire was telling me they were not that bad obviously did not sit right with me and left me feeling like this never was a major concern like he made it out to be. Either way, it was done now. Moving on, the new dentist could not seem to get the filling right where my bite felt normal, she tried multiple times and in the end my tooth ended up chipping off in an area she exposed because she did not fill it correctly. I now have a chipped tooth that I have to get corrected because of her poor work. Needless to say, I immediately found a new dentist and would highly recommend anyone who is looking for a dentist to not select Crisdental as their primary provider. Between the poor customer service and the poor care received they definitely not a place I would recommend to anyone. read more

I needed 2 crowns and hear about Cris Dental on the radio so I got 2 beautiful crowns. Next, I have a deep cleaning. They are thoughtful, experienced and do great work. I highly recommend. The office manager Kaylee is extremely unprofessional and should not be working in Healthcare. The level of communication between crisdental and the offices they refer to is extremely lacking. Multiple issues have arose due to a lack of due diligence on their part. When confronted, the manager Kaylee did everything to avoid taking accountability. When I requested information on how to submit a formal complaint regarding her conduct, she acted in retaliation and discharged my wife and I, and cancelled an extremely important upcoming appointment that my wife had. I really can't figure out why all the bad reviews... I was treated nicely by the receptionist, Callie did an AMAZING job cleaning my teeth, the doctor was nice.... I had a really excellent experience here. Glad I took a chance on this place, they are the most affordable dentist I could find. Again, amazing service, updated dental technology, and what was really remarkable was that they didn't try to up sell me a bunch of stuff or services to try to make up for the insanely low price. Highly recommended. I was well taken care of. I would give five stars but I found no one having to wear a mask, both with COVID and the flu still infecting people all over Lane County as well as being in such a confined area with everyone's mouth opened wide troublesome. What Joe B said. I asked to schedule a cleaning appointment in March, 2017. They set me up an appointment in May, 2017 -- to look in my mouth and send me on my way. No x-rays, no cleaning. Next appointment was scheduled for the end of July. Woops, they didn't realize they had scheduled me for a random day that office decides to go on holiday for whatever reason. Sooo, they rescheduled me for early August. Again, no cleaning. This time it was x-rays rays, and goodbye. (Note, now that it's August, my cleaning is 4 months overdue.) My next appointment is in mid-October. If I get a cleaning this time, it'll be 7 months overdue. If I don't, who knows -- maybe a year or three. I think their shitty scheduling system is a tactic to milk insurance, too--for stupid sitting fees each time, on top of the minimal work that's done. read more

I noticed there are no recent reviews. Is this being screened to 'clean up' reviews? My experience is that although I requested the Medicare coverage treatment, since I am on limited income, and was told that is what I would get. I was informed that I needed deep clean scraping. I figured I would have that done, since it had been several years since I had seen a dentist. All in all, the appointment was spent mostly with Haley. She hurt me by hitting the nerves in my teeth, and when I let her know, she said, "No, I didn't! You don't have any pain!" I noticed that her pupils were not normal, and not focused when she was working in my mouth. Then, she packed some anti-cavity stuff in my gums. Then a $50.00 tooth paste. Okay. Over $300.00, no Medicare involved! Then,I get a $145.00 bill from them 2 months later!! I was allergic to the anti-cavity stuff and finally got it out of my swollen gums with my Water Pic. ​Bad P.R. I had to wait an hour to have only 2 of the 4 wisdom teeth removed I was scheduled for. She was also snotty about the situation that was her fault. Awesome dentist and staff! Great location. Yes, the appointments are sometimes multi-stage, but that is true for any doctor or dental visit. I don't understand why some commenters are expecting an exam, cleaning, X-rays, etc etc all in an hour? I appreciate that they do an hour exam and spend time EXPLAINING your needs and communicating with you, and then scheduling for the cleaning you need and the amount of time needed. If I could give them no stars I would. Last summer my son had done dental work done here for a few cavities. A month after they were done one fell out. So they filled it back in no charge. Fast forward till 3 days ago he starts complaining that his tooth hurts. I look and see that yet another filling had failed. So I make him an appt somewhere else recommended by some friends. He had that appt this morning. He now has to have all the work done last summer redone to the point of 3 mini root canals, 3 caps. All on teeth that should have been fine with just a small filling. I was patient of Crisdental in Springfield Office. My dental x-rays showed no cavities and I needed no care except for a cleaning. However, the dental tech did a "deep cleaning" which was only partially covered by my dental insurance and the dentist insisted that I needed a mouth guard which was not covered. I told him I would not wear a mouth guard but he started putting the impression in anyway. I felt pressured to go thru the procedure. I was then charged over $400 for the mouth guard. Recently I have been receiving bills that I still owe over $230 more for the "deep cleaning". I would not recommend this dental practice. read more

Dentist looked at my teeth for five minutes and was extremely rude. I have great dental insurance and my only visit should have been covered. They also told me before I left that I didn't owe them anything for this visit. Months later I receive a non-itemized bill claiming that insurance already paid their part and it's now my turn. Crisdental...AVOID them at ALL COST !! They overcharged my wife for a routine office visit exam and broke her tooth during the exam. Then they said they had to surgically removed the broken tooth and MADE her sign a paper before they would perform the necessary procedure. They refused to let her leave the office unless she paid them $298.00 CASH ! They blocked the doorway and forced my wife to write a check. My wife had to see another dentist today when she was in so much pain from the damage they did when they cut the tooth out. We are talking with an attorney and suing them for damages.
