While I was there, I also grabbed some of the detox juice shots that I love, plus a few other essentials and items for my son. It was a super quick trip, and the location is just really convenient. They have a self-checkout available, but today I actually went through a regular register line. There were no long lines at all, and I was in and out of there in no time.

They just hand you receipts without looking at you or saying a word during check out. They walk around the store looking like zombies who are afraid to bump into customers . And one time at Drive Up, the lady stood there without saying anything, and when we gave her the code, she didn't say a word. We opened the trunk, she threw our bags and just left without saying anything! Talking about being rude and unhappy! It's crazy how one person can ruin the vibe of the store for everyone. I'd still come here for the convenience and the selection. As for value, I like taking advantage of the Circle Deals on my app. Most of the employees here are still helpful, but some people do need customer service reminders!

Then when I was about to print the axes weren't moving at all it would just vibrate. I went to the support page and typed an e-mail, and got a generated e-mail that wasn't reached to the staff in Printrbot. They said their tech guy will get to my problem in 24 - 48 hours, or if its not a critical problem to them they won't send an e-mail back.

And now I know why. I ordered the Simple Metal, Assembled (1403). The tool actually worked when I plugged it in, though I never actually tried printing from the SD card. But within a day or so, it started having all sorts of fits. One was that it wrestled a bit with Cura, the open source program recommended to run it. Because printrbot doesn't provide software and they can ostensibly run off of others' software, they cannot help you run the printrbot from software they can't control. But what was weird was that they one software the recommended should work, barely did. It got hung a bit. After another day, I was down hard with a connection error. Another treat with printrbot is that you can never talk to anyone. They only have a staff moderated forum. In it, you'll find a pile of people with connection problems, and these long list of things that the staff suggests you do regardless of whether it makes any sense or not. After establishing that you indeed read the directions, bought replacement cables at your own expense to debug a problem that they should have debugged, you then get the pleasure of being ignored, as the staff doesn't have the requisite talent to actually help you. While it's not unusual for the help desk to be populated with low skilled workers, what was unusual is that after being screened for doing all the standard fixes, that you don't get bumped to someone who does know what they are doing. That won't happen. It's also quite unbeliveable that you read a pile of people on this forum with very similar issues that are quite obviously in need of having this tool shipped back, but they will not offer to ship it back. After several months of these shenanigans, I finally got an offer that I purchase a new board, then ship mine back at my expense, and if they, at their sole discretion, decided that my board didn't work, would refund me the cost of the board. Instead, I filed a complaint with the better business bureau. That seemed to help a bit. Eventually, they relented and sent me a shipping label for my board, which I needed to extract with no instructions. They indeed admitted the obvious, that I probably never had the ability to print from an SD card, and there was something wrong with my CPU. So they sent a new board with no instructions. Well that was interesting. I couldn't believe the engineering that went into the installation of the board. Multiple, identical connectors with identical colored wires, some go in backwards and some go in frontwards!!. No instructions. It's pretty clear that these people have a manufacturing problem with their boards, and won't deal with it. Their preferred method is to be obstinate until you go away, and figure if they don't charge much, then you'll go away easier. That's a total pain in the neck, people, and you should stay away. It's a roll of the dice with these guys, and if you come up with the lousy roll, you'll get treated like dirt and your time wasted.

I did some research and found that Parallax has some great products for building robots (kits that contain everything you need to build "sumo" fighting robots, helicopters, and basic robots) and for learning basic programming. I took my son to the Parallax robotics expo a couple months ago and he loved it. He learned to solder, got to make a light up necklace that looks like a miniature robot, got to see very cool robots, got to tour the manufacturing facility, and got to play with many of the robots that can built from the kits. He got one of the kits for his birthday, and while he is still too young to build it by himself and to really understand it, he loves building the robot with me and if he even picks up a fraction of the information, he'll be way ahead of his peers in electronics and robotics. The beauty of the kits, too, is that we can build the basic robot (the BOE-bot) and then add to it with different sensors, different modes of movement (spider legs, treads, wheels, etc.), different ways of moving it (voice control, line following, remote control, etc.). It really can be a multi-year learning and fun project. On the more personal side, I wasn't sure what kit to get my son, so I stopped in the facility one day as I was driving back into town from a work assignment (we only live about 10 miles away so it was handy). I spoke with one of the gentlemen who works there and he was very helpful in recommending products that my son may enjoy and be able to grow into. I can't recommend Parallax enough.

He was patient and enthusiastic to help me. I knew he cared about finding the right product for me, which was ultimately finding and rebuilding security in my current living situation. Scott's approach with a preliminary set of questions opened the door to full proper customer service and support. He is more than willing, and rather compassionate about his work, the product, and helping people regain the security that's been compromised in their life. He ran me through the entire process, explaining terms and troubleshooting potential problems along the way, and demonstrated product functionality with instore set-ups. I am not experienced with these things, but Scott and Fox's Spy Outlet cultivated my new interest in such. They have a great selection of gadgets, for everyone. I am glad I went to Fox's and not a corporate retailer where I would be up-sold a box of extra, unnecessary features by a salesman whose product knowledge extends to the basic product description on the box. Fox's will fine tune what you're looking for, and not sell you a run of the mill product. You'll get what you're looking for, and what you need, and Fox's.

The camera he sold to Mom was a Netvue Vigil Outdoor Wi-Fi Security Camera. This guy charged Mom $250 and said "No Returns." The receipt also stated "No Returns." Mom could not get it to work and brought it down to my house in Long Beach over Christmas to see if my tech-savvy husband could figure out how to work it. He could not get the wi-fi to work nor would it work with an RJ-45 cable. A quick check on Amazon.com showed this exact same camera for sale for $35. Reading the other reviews where this business has done the same thing, I'm wondering what does it take to shut a business that takes advantage of the elderly and others? I understand the adage of "Buyer Beware" but this is taking advantage of my elderly mother!!
