Some customers were clearly known to them or their their friends and some spoke their native language. I spoke up and told an employee what was happening and they just said "Have a good day". This is typical poor service of this particular local store as I have been in there 5 times over the course of many years with 5 Verizon lines in my house , and the same quality of service continues. Very frustrating. Verizon can do much better than this.

After surviving a severe bout of pneumonia and having my phone lost at the hospital, I was already exhausted. Verizon's skilled telephone tech coaches did their best to resolve a messy activation glitch and instructed me to bring the defective hardware to this store. The staff here is utterly disgusting. They are aggressively rude, completely incompetent, and dripping with an attitude of total entitlement. They didn't just fail to help me--they actively mistreated other patrons and me in the store. Shockingly, a major corporation allows such gross misconduct to happen on its retail floor. I am escalating this directly to Verizon Headquarters, but local consumers need to know: this store is a toxic waste of time run by a crew that deserves to be summarily fired. Go to a different location.

He explained to the manager, Johnathan, that he wanted to upgrade his phone and that he did not mind waiting to be helped because the store was scheduled to close at 8:00 PM. Johnathan told my son that he would not be able to assist him because there were approximately six customers ahead of him. We made it clear that we were willing to wait and had no problem waiting for our turn. Johnathan remained standing near the entrance of the store. We also observed him assist two male Hispanic customers while my son was still waiting and had been told that he could not be served. At some point, two female officers entered the store. Johnathan told the officers that we were being aggressive. The entire interaction left us feeling uncomfortable and unfairly treated. I am especially concerned that my son was told that he could not be helped despite the store still being open for more than an hour, while other customers were subsequently assisted.

May I have your AT&Tention? You're being f***ed hard by your cellphone company. There, I said it…read more Located in Bay Ridge amongst all of the shops and awesomeness, this is a very busy and popular cell phone store which honestly is way overpriced like every other AT&T store. We've been thinking of switching to them and taking advantage of one of these free switch with incentive deals that they offer. So I was in here and I was asking a couple of questions because it's a long process deciding whether we want to do it and if so which company we want to switch to. So the bottom line is that once you get through all the small print and the hidden costs and the not-properly-spelled-out incidence of your rate going up after such-and-such amount of time, you're really going to be paying roughly the same amount as Verizon, as Sprint, or matter who you go with. Unless you choose MetroPCS or Cricket. (((crickets)))

So it's been quite a while since I've needed to pay a visit to the Smart Addiction shop and now…read morethey are in a different location than those first times that I needed their help. Recently I miscalculated my stride on some steps and came crashing down with my mobile in my hand and while I wasn't injured, my phones corner glass was smashed. I was mad for the most part since the phone is only five months old and didn't have insurance on it. Before you chide me about that, I should mention that I've never so much as scratched a phone screen in the 25 or so years of using these devices. End of streak. So anyway after being scolded by Verizon, I headed to the Smart Addiction store which is also known as "iFixit New York, Bay Ridge" location to assess the damage and the cost to repair. Sadly, the screen for this particular model was not in stock and would need to be ordered. I have a Google Pixel 9 Pro XL since I rather like a large phone based on all the web and social media stuff I do. The other downside would be the cost of $300 to replace and repair this broken screen. They said the Google phones are costly repairs so the part was ordered and I waited a few days. Once it was in the shop they took my device for a few hours and all was good as new. The staff is friendly but as technicians they are more interested in getting the job done efficiently for the customer. I told them the exact happening that got the breakage for them to be aware in case such actions lead to other issues. It's always best to be honest with the technicians. If you spill something on a laptop, let them know, if you drop your phone out a window, let them know etc. All in all I am glad that they are here and I hope that its a while before I have to come in there again since I don't like breaking things. Another good option at this location in Bay Ridge is that they have one of those Go Lockers so you can direct Amazon, FedEx and more to so you don't miss a delivery while you are at work. Thanks for the repair gang.
