I used to have this and then they ended it while other providers only increased data access for their patrons. It makes no sense. There isn't a technical desk for repairs and such at this location anymore which is a bit of a bother but I will say that every staff that I have ever dealt with is very helpful. It can get crowded depending on the time of day that you pop in and since customers rarely know what they are exactly seeking in terms of technology it can add to wait time. My contract is drawing to an end in a couple of months and unless there are better data offerings this might be my final go round with Verizon as a wireless provider. I will have been a customer for 18 years. Can you hear me now Verizon? Get on point.

Some customers were clearly known to them or their their friends and some spoke their native language. I spoke up and told an employee what was happening and they just said "Have a good day". This is typical poor service of this particular local store as I have been in there 5 times over the course of many years with 5 Verizon lines in my house , and the same quality of service continues. Very frustrating. Verizon can do much better than this.

The people who work here are very friendly and professional, and needless to say I haven't gotten the same from other stores. This is actually the only store that I've really gone to for help with my phone, upgrades, questions, etc. Even though my old phone, when I lost my new one, was obsolete, they still tried to check to see if they carried an extra battery or model so I could replace my old one which wasn't working very well. The staff here is just proactive like that, they are always asking if anyone needs help, and with this type of store, of course people need help, and they make it easy to ask questions.

T-Mobile store located at 86th Street and 3rd Avenue Ny, Ny on September 18, 2026…read more My son arrived at the store around 6:45-6:50 PM because his phone screen is completely black, and he needs his phone as his primary means of communication. He explained to the manager, Johnathan, that he wanted to upgrade his phone and that he did not mind waiting to be helped because the store was scheduled to close at 8:00 PM. Johnathan told my son that he would not be able to assist him because there were approximately six customers ahead of him. We made it clear that we were willing to wait and had no problem waiting for our turn. Johnathan remained standing near the entrance of the store. We also observed him assist two male Hispanic customers while my son was still waiting and had been told that he could not be served. At some point, two female officers entered the store. Johnathan told the officers that we were being aggressive. The entire interaction left us feeling uncomfortable and unfairly treated. I am especially concerned that my son was told that he could not be helped despite the store still being open for more than an hour, while other customers were subsequently assisted.

My visit to Spectrum was to help a neighbor get their new mobile device as they had opted to go to…read moreSpectrum over their current provider. Since this space is new and I had a couple of questions of my own I decided to go along. This space used to be the Panera Bread and Radio Shack before that so its rather spacious. Social distancing is enforced and each of the staff stations has a plexiglass shield in front of them. There are a number of mobile phones to choose from but I will be sticking with Verizon since I didn't see any massive savings against what I am paying right now. Since they also deal with new cable accounts I tried to see if I could knock some bucks off my current monthly plan since its ridiculous but they could not oblige with this and suggested that I call customer care since they had more power to do that. I think I am leaning toward an Internet only process where I enjoy my streaming services and only use mobile but lets see what happens. Overall I found the staff that I spoke to friendly and willing to help. I've seen Yelps of otherwise but that was not my experience at all.

There, I said it…read more Located in Bay Ridge amongst all of the shops and awesomeness, this is a very busy and popular cell phone store which honestly is way overpriced like every other AT&T store. We've been thinking of switching to them and taking advantage of one of these free switch with incentive deals that they offer. So I was in here and I was asking a couple of questions because it's a long process deciding whether we want to do it and if so which company we want to switch to. So the bottom line is that once you get through all the small print and the hidden costs and the not-properly-spelled-out incidence of your rate going up after such-and-such amount of time, you're really going to be paying roughly the same amount as Verizon, as Sprint, or matter who you go with. Unless you choose MetroPCS or Cricket. (((crickets)))

So it's been quite a while since I've needed to pay a visit to the Smart Addiction shop and now…read morethey are in a different location than those first times that I needed their help. Recently I miscalculated my stride on some steps and came crashing down with my mobile in my hand and while I wasn't injured, my phones corner glass was smashed. I was mad for the most part since the phone is only five months old and didn't have insurance on it. Before you chide me about that, I should mention that I've never so much as scratched a phone screen in the 25 or so years of using these devices. End of streak. So anyway after being scolded by Verizon, I headed to the Smart Addiction store which is also known as "iFixit New York, Bay Ridge" location to assess the damage and the cost to repair. Sadly, the screen for this particular model was not in stock and would need to be ordered. I have a Google Pixel 9 Pro XL since I rather like a large phone based on all the web and social media stuff I do. The other downside would be the cost of $300 to replace and repair this broken screen. They said the Google phones are costly repairs so the part was ordered and I waited a few days. Once it was in the shop they took my device for a few hours and all was good as new. The staff is friendly but as technicians they are more interested in getting the job done efficiently for the customer. I told them the exact happening that got the breakage for them to be aware in case such actions lead to other issues. It's always best to be honest with the technicians. If you spill something on a laptop, let them know, if you drop your phone out a window, let them know etc. All in all I am glad that they are here and I hope that its a while before I have to come in there again since I don't like breaking things. Another good option at this location in Bay Ridge is that they have one of those Go Lockers so you can direct Amazon, FedEx and more to so you don't miss a delivery while you are at work. Thanks for the repair gang.

Tommy helped me, but I had issues with my old phone and wasn't able to upgrade at that time. But he was patient and kind while waiting for the issues to subside. Learnt that he was promoted to the 18ave T-Mobile store, which is well deserved for him! I came back two hours later when I fixed the issue, and another employee, Julio, helped me. He was great at explaining the price breakdown for me and extremely understanding about the upgrade and transfer process that took over an hour to finish. The store manager (Marlon?) was awesome at making sure the customers were able to find help immediately and with an employee who spoke their language.
