Alex Microsoft Certified Advisor at this location come on in to get the best…read more I came in looking for an obscure device: an external CD player for installing legacy software on my new laptop OMG they stock a few for us instant gratification people who need things NOW! Alex was available at the Windows desk. He said "Yeah, this are great! You can watch DVDs your stash of movies you've collected, audio CDs and of course read and write files from your computer or laptop and best of all, enable you to install legacy software on your new laptops ( which no longer have CD drives) Alex picked out this LG Ultra Slim Portable DVD Writer (which does it all) for only $24.99 such a deal! I'm sure I'm going love it! Alex is a wiz. This will be my Go To Best Buy in the Portland Metro Area

Picking up my work laptop. Best Buy's app and website are NOT friends…read more At the beginning of September, I started a new job. My boss ordered me a laptop from Best Buy. He is in LA, and I'm in PDX. So he ordered online, put me as the pickup person and boom. So he didn't have any idea of where I live, and sent the order to the Tualatin BB at first. I asked him to change it to Cedar Hills since I was right down the street at a baseball game with my son. So he did. Now let me say, when you order online, it says "pickup within 2 hours." Yeah NO. You are FAR better going IN the store and buying anything than using the app or website. The order information NEVER updated anything online. Never showed anything but "order placed." So after more than 4 hours I showed up and they said it wasn't ready...blah blah blah give us 15 minutes and we will get it. So that's the FIRST experience. Now to this past Wednesday. I ordered a co-worker a new laptop using our boss' credit card. I ordered it to pickup at this location because I was going to the nearby Umpqua bank for a business deposit. I waited 3 hours and showed up, again no update on the website for order status. Just like the first time. This time the manager tells me that the order wasn't placed because it was flagged for their fraud team. I was like okay why?? Because the order was placed by Dan M but Martina C is listed for pickup. I said I can verify his card #, social, drivers license etc AND I said OR y'all can just call him. So she said oh okay they'll probably call him will you let him know? So I text him that they'd likely call him etc and what was going on. The WEIRD thing was that she checked my ID and said to come back in 10 minutes. So I wait 15, she said "OH I just put your order up front!" And takes me to the checkout. Then she asked if I had the order number (well duh yes I did because I gave it to YOU the first time I popped in today to pickup my order..." And she covered up on the laptop box where I assume the order number was. (which felt weird and pointless to me since 1- I'd already given it to her, and 2 - didn't y'all verify with Dan?) I guess it was worth it because I got my co-worker a really good deal on a nice Lenovo laptop. It's CRAZY that laptops are catering more to gamers than workers now but whatever. The laptop is NICE and I'm glad that despite the annoying sync of an order online to a store it's a good deal.

Had a great experience in here thanks to the Sales Manager, Matt. I came in looking to compare…read morepricing after finding a competitive open-box deal on a 65" TCL QM7 at Best Buy. I figured they might be able to work with me on the price of a new one and I was correct! I got a great deal for a brand new one that wasn't much more expensive than the open-box one. Matt was super knowledgeable generally about TVs as well, along with their soundbar options. I already have an alright soundbar and didn't feel the need to upgrade at the same time, but I will definitely be back in for a soundbar when the time comes. Thanks, Matt!

I met Cyle Wood. I think he's the manager and a great salesman. He took quite a bit of time to explain the differences of each TV that I was interested the quality in the technology. And then he applied some of his personal opinions, which I greatly appreciate It. Cyle went out of his way to extend every possible good price and service to me. And he happily uphold me on a sound bar too, which I'm very grateful to have. Cause it does make a big difference. I recommend Cyle Wood and also video only. I think that their service is superior to the big box stores and I want to buy local and spend my money here in town locally.

My 13 year old mostly trusty Toyota is having an ongoing headlight outage issue. I have never had…read moreproblems like this with previous vehicles, and I never wanted to know this much about effing car headlights. Honestly. The past year or so I have had it at the dealer multiple times anyway so I have just had them replace the light while they are doing other stuff. If it's a month or two ( or less) between burning out I have asked for free replacements and gotten them, but a couple of times I have paid and they have run between $25-70 to get a new light. The fancy ones only come in twos and they have burned out faster. They were supposed to last longer. Taking the thing apart to fix the electrical issue is about $2k is what they told me. Um. Nope. I would just buy a new dang car. So, I have been pulled over by police and "warned" for burned out lights and I have been what I call " light bombed" by dutiful citizens who make it their gd mission to tell me my headlight is out. This last week a crochety elderly man and his little terrifying yappy dog waited patiently in my driveway for five minutes during the day for me to exit my car, just so he could proclaim my bulb's dead state to me and the universe in general. He told me how " dangerous" it was. Sigh. I called the dealer to price the part. $24.99. I called the service desk at the dealer. Voice mail. They are slammed on Saturdays. I do not have a weekday option since I have rejoined the workforce recently and have minimal time available. I called Autozone. No answer. I called O'Reillys. The nice young man told me $12 and said, "Do you want us to put it in for you? " Sold. I drove there, a nice female assistant manager who was surrounded by 3-4 young men shooting the bull ( the store was a bit empty) took my info, went and got the bulb, it was $12.99. She asked me if I wanted her to put it in. ( I looked at my male friend whom I had brought to do that, and he shrugged). She grabbed a glove, headed out to the car, rushed back to open the door for me after he dropped it in my face ( I mean I loved that although I coulda gotten it) , and she popped the old one out and the new one in. Easy peasy. She also threw away the packaging and the old bulb. My companion would not have I am sure. All done. Cheap. Fast. Awesome. Also, it was aligned properly with the other headlight which is like...well all the other times they were crooked. O'Reillys for the win, man.
