So, for those who think the staff isn't very helpful, they are much better than their manager. So, wiping my tears away after talking to Doug I headed for the TV department where several of the guys have been extremely helpful since I moved here in October. Kudos to Jordan whom I've had several interactions with since I have purchased 2 smart TVs, a router and a few other items since October. Sorry I can't remember a few more names back there. Anyway, they asked what was wrong. I told them of my dealings with Doug and what I needed. They were very helpful and I left with my needs met. I do agree that staff often stands in groups, seemingly oblivious to what's going on around them (and it shouldn't be this way) however, I simply walk up and say "excuse me" and they all turn, and the person who knows the most in the area in question helps, sometimes two of them.

My experience at my local corner spice store was positively pleasant. While this visit was to pick up a waffle iron (our old one was donezo, and we just made homemade maple syrup from sap from our own trees) and to get some supplies I needed for work, we did take a look at the regular grocery shelves and they seemed well stocked. I did see a grown adult cough without covering her mouth while we were there and couldn't help exclaiming: "You're an adult ... Cover your mouth when you cough!" How on earth are we supposed to get our kids to cover their mouths if adults can't even do it? It's frustrating to see businesses bending over backwards to keep thier customers safe and some people still being so cavalier about protecting others.

After waiting nearly six weeks I went into his shop on Tuesday November 29 and was told he just put it up on the bench and it was next in line to get looked at. I heard nothing so I went back in there on Friday December 2 and he shows me he has it opened up (4 screws) but hasn't had a chance to troubleshoot it yet so he couldn't tell me what was wrong with it or how much it would cost to repair.
