The location for this restaurant is perfect the food is not real bad but not great the price for the ok food is outrageous. The door before you even go into the bathroom smells like sewage, there is a plumbing issue that needs to be fixed asap. Well for Starters, I Found Crest Cafe through a Tik Tok Video I came across on my Facebook Page. It was Joel Greene of Inland Empire Explorer doing a review of Crest Cafe. He was reviewing the Milan Crusted Chicken. It looked so Amazing and the way he was Describing it, it was Mouth Watering. I finally had the Opportunity to make it out to Crest Cafe. I don't live nearby so its a little Trek down the 60 Freeway and that can be a Daunting Task due to all the Construction going on. Traffic on 60 is a nightmare. Takes forever to get anywhere during the week. But any way I made it, and I had an Amazing Experience. For Starters the Waitress was so Amazing she was always Checking on me, and not in an Annoying way. All I can say is she did an Amazing Job. Very Friendly. Of Course I had to Order the Milan Crusted Chicken. It Came with a Side Salad which was Amazing in itself. Mixed Greens which I prefer over Romain and Iceberg Lettuce. Had a variety of toppings, also came with Homemade Blue Cheese Dressing. Back to the Milan Crusted Chicken. The Chicken was grilled perfectly, so Moist and the Breding was nice and flavorful, Dusted with Parmesan Cheese. The Sauce was like a Creamy Pink Sauce that had a Distinct Tomato Flavor, also Homemade it also came with Garlic Bread. Big Portion Size. So Amazing. Awful service!! Server named "Ofelia" was not attentive, taking 30 mins at a time to come back and check up on us. Crest Cafe automatically tipped 18% off from all cards (3). WAS NOT DESERVED AT ALL. The receipt did not have what we ordered or how much plates were...just the total. The water Ofelia brought out to us did not have ice, keep in mind we were outside in 80 degree weather. We got to the cafe at 10:40am and left at around 12:20pm THAT IS HOW BAD THE SERVICE WAS!!! It was not even busy. Overall do not recommend this place. Wish I could give this place a zero. read more

I have been living in the Canyon Crest area for over 10 yrs and not once had I tried this place. Why ? I don't know for some reason I thought it would be bad as pepitos was. Great location and had to wait I. Line because everyone wanted to go! Such a welcoming environment with average noise levels and nice bottomless coffee! The servers were busy but everyone is kind, helpful, and working very hard to get food to hangry people! The three large eggs were divine though, there was too much butter for my friend in the sourdough toast. And my waffle came with 4x as much butter as needed. The eggs were delish and the sausage links were a but dry. The waffle, itself, was wonderful and soft, pillowy goodness! We went today for brunch. Had ordered salad, soup, garlic bread, jambalaya and sandwich. The bread was cold ... the jambalaya was cold and the salad was stale. We will never go to this place again. Live locally and had never visited before but within one month we went twice, and both times were good experiences. The first was for breakfast - had the Chicken Fried Steak and Eggs and spouse got the Belgian Waffle with a side of Biscuits and Gravy. All the items were great. The second time was for a quick workday lunch - had the half sandwich and salad combo - tuna sandwich and garden salad. We walked a little over 3 miles to breakfast this morning- I ordered my eggs poached, they came fried. I would have preferred to have been told that they don't poach eggs than eat fried. I would have chosen scrambled instead. Hash browns were borderline raw in the middle. Our server graciously offered fresh salsa with our meal when we ordered and it was never brought to us. My boyfriend got the southern breakfast which included biscuits and sausage w gravy, eggs, and potatoes. The food was satisfying and was a good portion. The only qualm I have is about the cranberry juice. It tasted like it had been poured out of a shoe of a person with athlete's foot. Absolutely foul. Yesterday, me and some coworkers went for breakfast. We were in a very good mood and laughing just having a good time. Rosa was our waitress every thing was fine up till almost leaving that I was going to ask rosa a question since she made eye contact with me but instead she walked towards another friend which Was next to me. Stopped by again for the dinner experience, and I'd tell you it was very pleasant. I started off with a Cadillac margarita, then proceeded to get a dinner as well and had ordered the chicken Alfredo. I visited Crest Cafe one evening since I had visited Canyon Crest Plaza many times and wanted try something new. The exterior and interior design looked well decorated, and I wanted to try it out. It was rather quiet at 8pm, but it took about 5 minutes to be noticed and another 10 minutes for a server to come after being seated. It was a Tuesday, but I wasn't in the mood for tacos and instead ordered a simple soup and salad. The two soups that I ordered were tasty, but they were both way over seasoned, specifically too salty. The salads were all over-dressed as well, and I had to order another salad with dressing on the side. read more

First time here at this spot. Customer service was excellent. Our waitress went above and beyond. Ordered the bacon, mushroom San Francisco style frittata was hoping it was a little fluffier but all the ingredients was delicious. To me it was more like an omelette. Side potatoes with green peppers and onions were made perfect. They had some homemade salsa I was extremely impressed with the flavor and spice. Biscuits and gravy were really good. The food is delicious every time, we order the Banana Bomb French Toast and the Banana Nana Pancakes for breakfast and highly recommend both dishes. The portion sizes are perfect and very filling for an empty stomach. The only reason there is a three star review is due to the lack of customer service. Most times we have been, it has been okay, however this previous time, it really stood out to us. Our waitress did the basics needed such as taking our order and getting us the food, however lacked giving us the extra attention that any waitress should give. It took atleast 20 minutes till they greeted us and got our drink order, then about 15 minutes later they got our food order, after that we waited for over an hour with bo checkins. We continued to wait and saw other groups that got there after us, then leave after already eating. After I brought this to their attention, all they said was that they had a lot of big parties and were very unapologetic. When we requested to speak to their manager they gave a concerned look and said let me get them, then noboby came. Not only that the drinks they did give us were trash.
