this chicken sandwich beats Dave's and chick filet A by a long shot!

Hands down the BEST chicken and waffles in town right here! I was excited, and knew what I wanted but my peeps who tagged along took forever and a day to decide *insert hangry emoji*. While waiting for our order we were asked if we wanted to try the mac & cheese and it was sooo good (seriously, not because I was h-u-n-g-r-y!) it will be the first thing I order the next time I swing by B'cuz there will be a few more times with other friends and coworkers :) side note: not a lot of seating area inside like other yelpers stated but plenty of picnic tables outside... or you can always fine and dine inside your car (exactly what we did cuz it's hella humid out outside when we were here. PS: my peeps ordered chicken tenders and the chicken sandwich - everyone enjoyed what they ate, and raved about the seasoning on the chicken *sigh* - - 100% drooling now thinking bout how good it was!

I got the Crenshaw chicken sandwich, the flavor of the chicken was amazing! I loveddd the fresh lettuce tomato and onions on the sandwich. I just wish they let the cheese melt but other than that it was delicious. The service was great, I ordered on Uber eats and they listened to all the requests in the notes. I'd love to try something else in the menu.

Finally got a chance to check out this black-owned restaurant over at the Chandler Street market and it did not disappoint. I got the Cinnabon waffle with chicken tenders, The decadent indulgence of the waffle, really with something different and tasted well balancedwith the well-seasoned chicken tenders, which were a good size. The meal came with a drink of choice and I just got an apple juice to really lean in to the breakfast vibe of this meal despite it being for dinner, lol There were several other flavor options for the waffle available and definitely will return to try others in the future. Also, the owner was so personable and even apologized for the food not being piping hot once I got there to pick it up as this is a takeout only establishment currently and I got there about 25 minutes later than the schedule pick up time. He prides himself on the food being made fresh to order but clearly the fault was on me.

Mac and cheese and sweet potatoes

First experience exceeded my expectations. Today not so much! Fish was overcooked , very chewy, Mac and cheese tasted awful too much burnt crust , tasted Smokey and my sweet potatoes had a few pieces of Mac in it. SMH,

We were picking up some cookies and we decided to grab brunch here. When we first walked in, service was 100% great. Staff was welcoming and knowledgeable. We also had a sample of the smoked Gouda Mac n cheese. Next time we are in the area we definitely try more of their food. We got the chicken and waffles and it was amazing. The fried chicken was juicy and the waffles great. This spot is more of a take out spot with a couple of seats. There are always picnic tables outside if you can't wait to eat the food.

It was my first visit to Crenshaw's it was a little hard to find, but I found it and very glad I did, I got the cinnamon waffle with five wings, it came with blue cheese, hot sauce if you needed it, but the wings were seasoned to perfection, no need to cover the flavor, the cinnamon butter on the waffle was delicious, didn't really need the syrup, smelled so good, had to open and taste in Wegmans parking lot before I went in, I couldn't make it home, the service was excellent, the recommendation was on the money for me!! It's take out , but I did see a few picnic benches, it was a thunder storm the day I went, I hope you all enjoy it as much as I did, everything is cooked to order, so if you don't want to wait 20 minutes for your wings , you should probably order ahead

I tried Crenshaw's after seeing many positive reviews . I ordered online as this is the only way to order right now. We got a few different things to try including chicken wings country fried, seafppd salad, chicken sandwich and red velvet waffle. When I arrived to pick the food up it wasn't ready, but the staff informed me and thanked me for my patience. Inside there were a couple of tables but outside the building there was more space to eat if you wanted to. The best thing was the waffle, it was delicious and tasted like moist cake. The wings cpuld have been cooked longer, but taste was good. The chicken sandwich was just ok in my opinion. Seafood salad was ok, but nothing to brag about. Prices were a little high in my opinion, but I guess that's to be expected these days. I would go back for the waffle but can't say that I would go out of my way for the other things. Maybe I just came on a busy day and need to try it again. Overall a nice place, pleasant staff food was ok.

My favorite, cookies and cream waffle with glaze and their delicious fried chicken.

Wow. First time trying today! Their cookies and cream waffle = to die for! Red velvet waffle = to die extra for. Their glaze on their waffles = had me dead, so freaking good. They gave us samples of their mac and cheese = I literally passed away and came back to life it was so delicious I thought I was dreaming. When you walk in they treat you like family, they are so sweet. Quick service, delicious food, yeah this is my new spot !! Nice to meet you Greg and your kind staff

I've been a big fan of chicken and waffles for a long time, this one is hands down the best I've had. The combination of the sweet waffle (I got red velvet) and the incredible seasoning of the chicken is something everyone must try. The service was top notch, we got free samples of certain foods and she communicated so well telling us how long the food would take as they were busy with online orders. Inside is small, you may not get a seat if you want to eat there but it's very clean and looks incredible.

Red velvet waffle and chicken wings...

First the young man and young lady at the front were so pleasant, respectful, kind and courteous, the kind of service that makes it ok to spend my money with them. NOOOWW.. let's talk about this food. My daughter and I had the red velvet waffle with the wings. The waffle was big and covered in butter and glaze(?). I'm not sure what it was but it was delicious and I really didn't need the syrup. The wings were seasoned to perfection and so crispy and the inside was moist and juicy(I'm not sure how they pulled off this perfect combo of crispy and juicy). Then to top it off they gave us each a bottle of Poland Spring water, the Hot sauce packets were Frank's red hot(if you're from Buffalo you already know...this is the only hot sauce), the blue cheese was a nice 2ouce pre packaged cup. Overall this place gets a 10/10...I only wish they had a nice seating area because I almost crashed driving, eating and doing a little dance with every bite

So weird...I was excited to try breakfast here this morning. I arrived around 8:30am but the…read more"closed" sign was up on the door. (Also- the hours online and Yelp/Google Maps are different than what's posted on the door.) I decided to see if the door was open in case the sign just wasn't flipped to "open". It was UNLOCKED, and so was the second door! I was able to go INSIDE the cafe, even though it was clearly empty and no one was there...no food in the display case either. I even called out "hello??" a couple times to no response. Why were both doors unlocked if the cafe was clearly closed (even though according to the hours on the door it should be open...)

The first thing I appreciated was, the Owners and staff members. They are genuinely, a very happy group of people. They are super friendly and engaging. I also like the fact you can dine in or even do takeout. Today I decided on takeout.. the serving sizes are very decent, and the prices are more than fair. I strongly recommend checking them out. Breakfast sandwich- choice of bacon or sausage. Really nice satisfying sandwich. I really like the type of roll that was used. Plus the sandwich wasn't greasy or sloppy at all. Breakfast bowl- For me, I was able to share with my wife. The to-go container was pack. Every bite full had meat, cheese potatoes, and eggs. The ingredient ratio was spot on. You didn't have to much of this and not enough of that. Chicken and waffle- breast was moist and seasoned well for my liking. I loved the waffle flavor. Whatever waffle mix they are using. They need to keep using it and never change up.

Something I noticed is none of the staff in the kitchen wears hats or hair nets and some of the females hair is a little crazy... Steak benny 8/10 Not bad. Potatoes were very plain. Nutella and banana crepe 7/10 Had a hair in it (which brings me back to my hair net point above...) Kyle still ate it though. Dulce de leche crepe 9/10 Caramel sauce was really good. Whipped crepe was delicious and perfectly sweet. The walnuts were good, but I would prefer them to be chopped up a little smaller to be more bite sized. The apples were warm, and cooked to a perfect al dente.

It has no more than 12 tables, no booths, and the entrance is a mess. It's tiny and the hostess is not at the entrance, but further inside the restaurant and it causes a lot of congestion. The service was quick and our waitress was nice, but the food was not great. We ordered the strawberry crepe, local eggs breakfast special, and the seafood crepe. The local egg breakfast was good and basic so it's hard to mess that up, but the crepes were not good, especially the seafood, but the side salad that came with it was delicious. I don't plan on coming back here and wouldn't recommend it to friends/family.
