We had dinner at Creekside last night. It's a quaint out of the way place with a lot of history. It's not far from the Susquahanna River. The Friday night crowd consisted of locals who have made creekside their goto place. Everyone there was happy, smiling and laughing. Gina our waitress welcomed us with a smile and was very helpful with the menu and specials. Her service and attentiveness was great. The menu is diverse, offering seafood, including crab cakes and shrimp, along with steaks, burgers, salads and sandwiches. We had the corn fritters as an appetizer. They were really good. You definitely want the maple syrup on the side. My wife loved it. Thanks Gina :-) My wife ordered the Cheeseburger with chips and a pickle. I had the NY strip with baked potato and a side salad. My steak was cooked perfectly. I ordered rare and it was spot on and tasty. The baked potato came with butter and sour cream. The mini salad was fresh, cold and very good. I tried my wife's cheeseburger and was shocked when I bit into it! It tasted like the world famous "In and Out Burger"! One of the most popular Burger Places in California. The bun was buttery and warm, the burger was juicy and well flavored, with lettuce and tomato. It was very very good. There is nothing fancy about Creekside. Its doesn't need to be; It's a local restaurant/bar with friendly people and staff and they serve great food. A really nice evening and great find for us. Will be back to try more of their delicious menu. If they have a "burger night", I'll be there! read more

One of our local favorites. Stumbled across this creek side restaurant by chance. Very quaint and scenic spot. My 88 year old Mom always get Lobster tail on Wednesday for $19 and raves about the 70s prices! Portions are huge and the soups are always great. Tiffany will wait in the entire restaurant by herself! Best food and staff for a local favorite that can easily be missed. read more

I have not been here in years, but that's because last time I came in, I had a horrible experience. Tonight, much better. However, this place only get's a 4 for one reason. When I got my Cherry Coke, it tasted like cough syrup. That already lost points. But the meal made up for it. Good Corn Nuggets, good Fried Chicken and Fries Basket, but they charge for refills, so I wouldn't recommend getting refills on sodas. But I do recommend the Chicken Basket, even if you get the tenders version, it's still a good deal. If I get a chance to come back, I will. read more

Nice staff. Some menu items are good, some are terrible. The worse part is the cheap owner. Refusing to allow a tip be applied to a credit card so he doesn't have to pay the extra processing fees and additional payroll taxes involved for his employees. Pathetic! You got paid, now let your staff. Noticed another review posted of this as well and somehow it was moved to the "not recommended" reviews at the bottom of the page. Wonder how many times customers had to return to give their server a tip or how many times the servers just got screwed out of it. Owner should be ashamed of himself. read more

We have been here a few times and the food is always decent. Love the shrimp! No website or menu online, but if you don't mind eating in a dive bar atmosphere in what feels like the middle of nowhere, it is well worth a try. read more

i had the best turkey club sandwich of. my. life. here this past weekend. turkey was from a bird they roasted that day, contained dark and white meat, and was moister than if i had made it myself. this place just never fails to disappoint. service and food are always great!! edit update from 2/19/15 - went here recently and the creekside still has really great food and service. only note is about tipping. you can still pay with a credit card, but they no longer give you the option to put the tip on your card. you have to use cash! we are of the "cashless generation" and felt really terribly bad that we could not give our server a dime of tip money! so lady with the long blond/redish hair you are a great server and next time we will bring double cash! stinks that the owner is more concerned about taxes and him/her making out on that than with the fair pay of the employees. read more

Definitely not a fancy place. No need for ties and fancy dresses here. Just a nice place with good food and good company. Off the beaten path but worth the hunt. The best French fries for many miles around, IMO. A lovely little creek flows & tumbles just across the street. An old ramshackle building makes a good photo op. read more

Echoing what many others have said; kinda looks like a place that wasn't remodeled since Smokey was chasing the Bandit,...but its clean! That's not a bad thing, frankly, I love it! I get sick of the pretentious restaurants routinely aiming high and falling short. This place has GREAT food, good friendly service, with super prices! Not much to look at, but this place is a hidden gem with some really great bar food. I suggest the tips & toast or the prime rib sandwich. Good fries too. Go for "oldies prices night" on Wednesday for some great deals. read more

Best tenderloin tips around! I also love their seafood chowder and their filling. On Wed. nights, it is oldies and they lower the prices to what they were in the 70's so be prepared to wait for a table if you don't get there early. Good food and good service, strong mixed drinks too. read more
