A great build by Credo Technology Group Old computer was running very slow and was diagnosed with the hard drive needing replacement. Went to some computer repair and build establishments requesting advise on whether to repair or procure a new one. Finally stopped at Credo Technology Group and asked the same question and dropped off the old computer so an evaluation of what was needed could be established and a price given, was also questioned as to what a new computer would be used for so a proper quote could be given. The price quote for a new build was given and was chosen over a repair. While in the process of building the computer Eric sent email updates plus some pictures of the build. He was busy with other jobs and made the effort to complete the build in timely fashion by working on a Saturday and sending emails of its progress. When the day arrived to pick it up, Eric was out on a job and Michelle helped by going over every item needed to operate the new computer even providing an in computer prompt if help was needed. A follow up email a few days later was received restating their availability if help was needed. This build was for a computer to be used for photo and video editing and needed some computing power, after working with it for a few months now, it performs flawlessly and is extremely fast with the SSD plus a standard hard drive, it meets all expectations plus. A few days ago after finding out that Apple would not help me out with an issue with my 27 inch iMac (mid 2010), I did something very, very dumb. I tried to take the computer apart myself after watching a few how to videos on Youtube. It's not as easy as it looks. I crippled my machine by doing this. I was sick to my stomach and knew that Apple would probably end up charging me as much as a new computer cost, and I would have to be without my computer for a while. So I did a Google search and found Credo Computer Repair. I emailed Eric at around 9:00PM on Sunday night, woke up at 4:00AM and he had already responded telling me to bring my computer in so he could look at it. I got off work on Monday (July 16th) and took it down to him at around 5:00PM. He said he would have his partner look at and give me a call in a day or two and let me know how much damage I did. One business day later I got a call and Eric told me my computer was done, and I could come pick it up. Eric has come to my house three times in the last 6 months to save my computer from problems it's been having. He has always come within a very reasonable time from when I called him, and within minutes he's solved the problem and got me back to a very important part of my day to day life. I am 65 and have been on SS disability for 7 years and having a computer has allowed me to keep up with news from all over the world and keep in touch with friends and relatives online. I used to have a tech that helped fix gliches on my computer and was being charged $75 and hour, and a couple of times took 2-3 hours. I have been meaning to write this review for the last month, but I just moved into my home so things have been hectic. I recently looked on Yelp to find a company that could hang my TVs in my new house. I reached out to several companies for a quote. Credo responded immediately and Alejandro contacted me to get details of the project. YUP! What you read about these guys is true. They will get it done for you I brought in two very old laptops with very little RAM like 256 mb I think. These machines were beat. there wasn't much that could be done you can't even get parts for them anymore (some times you just have to bite the bullet and accept your machine should be put down.) I brought them back several times hoping they could be brought up to "speed" but basically these things wouldn't even boot up anymore, they at least got them running better and They never charged me for the extra time they wasted on these things these fellows really backed up their work. I also brought in my 11yr. old PC it's been repaired twice by others. It was running very slow, it couldn't do more than one thing at a time, and would take 10 minutes to boot up the usual stuff. Less than a day they got it running and performing as well as can be expected. It boots up in less than five minutes now. And doesn't even make all of those scary noises like it used. Being that I am disabled and limited ability and time I called credo for help. when I learned windows 10 is leaving soon and I had 3 desktops I needed to get data saved from 2 been shoved in closet for years I gave them a call. The staff was polite and pleasant and understood my needs as some of the data was irreplaceable. Not only were they able to recover the data from desktops that i thought were dead beyond belief, they were able to put it on my laptop and get it backed up. even when an accidental drop of power supply for laptop damaged it they replaced it no problem. They even helped set up my new laptop. talk about a great team and business. There is no one better I can think of. They kept me updated though all steps of the processes being done and gave me options each step of the way. I was having trouble with my laptop and trying to get a WiFi signal, so we Looked up on computer for repair on Yelp since we are new to the area. We noticed Credo Technology had 5 stars so we called and they said bring it in. We went in and Raphael greeted us and began working on my laptop, he kept the laptop and called us in the afternoon to pick it up. I was missing drivers on my Ethernet card and some other drivers, he reinstalled them and he had my laptop running smoothly and quickly. No problem when we got home and connected to WiFi. My HP laptop finally died on me. The hard drive crashed and I thought I lost all files. I took the computer in to Credo, and met up with Eric. He looked at the computer and wanted a day or two to investigate it. After one day, I received a call from Eric, indicating that he was able to restore all of my lost files and downloaded the information onto my new lap top. I had installed Windows 10, which worked awhile, then I couldn't get it to load. I took the computer to Credo Tech Group because of all the good reviews. Costs were very reasonable I thought. I could have gotten away with just the low Diagnostic charge. However, I ended up opting for a tune-up, which wasn't required, but am enjoying the faster speed on my 3-year old computer. I got the computer back very quickly, in spite of the tune-up. Michelle was my contact, friendly, helpful, and very good at human-speak. As I was upgrading from an old PC to a New PC and before I could transfer important company data, the old PC quit! I don't write many reviews, but felt compelled to provide an excellent rating for Credo. My Dell desktop completely quit working, I read excellent reviews on Yelp, so thought I'd give Credo a try. I was greeted by Eric as soon as I arrived. He was busy but took the time to give my computer a quick check. The power supply was OK so he determined that the problem was the motherboard. Fortunately the only problem was a layer of dust. After the dust was removed, it worked perfectly and I was on my way after only about 20 minutes, for a nominal charge. I took my laptop in to them for a third opinion after going to 2 other shops and being told that I would need a new motherboard installed which would have been very expensive.
