This is the website company to use!! They are the best not only in the area, but worldwide. My company was struggling with a not so great website, then in came Waking Girl and our numbers have exploded! It is amazing with her knowledge of sos and website design my product is reaching out to China, Europe and the US. Then we decided to upgrade to the FB and marking program and we never looked back. These are the most professional, helpful, and responsive team of Wed developers, and website designers I've EVER worked with. Really! Super supportive slow to speak and very good listeners. I'm not a great writer so when I do write the Waking Girl team it's nice to always get a confirmation conversation of what I'm trying to convey. I used them to do a few technical jobs on my website which went fine. When I approached them for a redesign I expected the same level of service. They charged me a $500 deposit and provided the first proof that looked like a kindergartner created it. It wasn't even close to our discussion about what we wanted. Red flags started popping up and when I asked for other examples of her work she got defensive and instead sent me an email saying I was released from the invoice but kept my $500. I filed a dispute with my bank for which Waking Girl falsified documentation and fraudulently submitted it to my bank in defense of keeping our $500. My advice is don't use them but if you do, DON'T pay anything until you are fully satisfied. read more

I am so over the top impressed with the amazing, creative (very affordable and fast too!) Website designer I recently used to redo my website. I love that she's an expert, a leader and absolutely takes charge - vs. so many designers I've worked with, 'tell me what you want and I'll do it.' I prefer working with experts who take the lead. Meet the Business Owner: Gertie O.

Hi, I'm Angela "Gertie" Refsland. I started Waking Girl in 2005. I was so broke at the time I didn't even own a computer. "How can I have a web design business without a computer?" That question inspired a new way of designing, utilizing web-based platforms and cloud-based servers (this was before "The Cloud" was a thing!). My colleagues had dedicated servers in their garages, while I just had access to the local library computer and email. I spent $20 on hosting, and started building websites from scratch in Notepad. I said that the web design programs of the day were terrible, but in reality, I just didn't have the thousands of dollars required to use those programs! By 2008 I had a handful of clients and a full portfolio. I was confident in my problem-solving skills and I was seeing the results of my efforts. With expert tech skills on his side and held breath on my side, and both of us occasionally crossing our fingers, Justin worked his magic and Outlook was configured for our needs (even better than it had been before) and I got all my Outlook folders back - YAY! The visit lasted two hours - about one hour was for the Outlook concern and the other hour was filled with small fixes and reorganizations that most 12-year-olds could manage but that I either did not know how to do or was afraid of the consequences if I tried.
