All I have to say is book with Kennady! I came in for a Brazilian sugaring wax, and let's just say... I was very overdue. I walked in mentally preparing myself for pain, but Kennady completely changed my expectations. I don't know what magical technique she used, but the wax was almost painless. Seriously. There was only one strip that stung a bit, but honestly, it was nothing compared to what I was expecting. Kennady clearly knows what she's doing. On top of that, she was such a pleasure to talk to. I felt completely comfortable the entire time, which is not always easy during a Brazilian. She's warm, professional, and really knowledgeable. She took the time to walk me through aftercare, and I actually learned a few new things (education is gold, and she definitely delivered!). Bottom line: I'll only be booking with Kennady from now on. If you've been putting off your wax or are nervous to try sugaring, go see her. You won't regret it.

1/5 My experience at…read moreEuropean Wax Center was disappointing. Hannah tried to make the waxing as comfortable as possible, but it was still one of the more painful waxing experiences I've had. My bigger issue was with the business practices. I was sold on a package during my appointment and was quoted one price (around $156), but by the time I got to the front desk the amount had increased to $192. The pricing structure was confusing and never felt transparent. The constant focus on packages, memberships, products, and "savings" made me feel like I was being sold to rather than simply paying for a service. I later received another charge on my credit card weeks after canceling my future appointment because of the payment structure attached to the package. While the company pointed to terms on its website, I do not feel the ongoing automatic charges were honestly and clearly disclosed when the package was sold to me in person. Good customer service is not about pointing customers to fine print after the fact. It is about being honest, upfront, and transparent before the sale is made. Customers should clearly understand what they are paying, what future charges will occur, and how the billing works before agreeing to anything. I have no issue paying for services. My issue is confusing pricing, constant upselling, and a business model that did not feel customer friendly. Had everything been explained honestly and clearly from the beginning, I could have made an informed decision. Instead, I was left feeling misled about the true cost and billing structure.

If I find a decent one they usually don't last. Well I went to get my eyebrows and lip threaded yesterday, Tuesday, February 20. I checked in and saw there were only two techs there. Simi and Pretty. Well I had a bad experience with Simi previously. She left a huge bald spot in one of my eyebrows before so I decided to try Pretty. I don't recall ever seeing her name on the check in screen so I assumed she was new and selected her and waited for my turn. Few mins later it's my turn. I sit and tell her that my right eyebrow is slightly thinner than the left and she disagrees and says it's thicker and I said no it's not. It's thinner and I'm trying to grow it out. So she begins threading my right eyebrow and right away I felt like something was going wrong. It felt like she was taking way too much off. I could feel it. When she was all done with eyebrows and lip she hands me the mirror but I can't see too good without my glasses. I pay and leave. I get in my car and pull out my hand mirror to take a look and sweet Jesus what has she done? She completely butchered my right eyebrow. Shockingly my left one is not good but not hacked. It looks like she took a weed whacker to my right one tho. She went up way too high on the arch and thinned out the lower arch where I told her I was growing it out. It seriously looks like she threaded it blindfolded. There is no saving it. I'm hoping it can be somewhat back to normal within a few months. So really I just suggest if you get a good tech there stick with that one. Because they are so hit and miss and I would hate for anyone to feel like I felt after what she did to my eyebrow. I wanted to cry when I saw how bad it looks. I'm crying inside actually. Perhaps the owners need to pay their good techs more so they don't leave.

The girl Helen asked me if I wanted to remove my current ones... I said sure why not (as they were a little beat up). I had both Helen and another gentleman take my nails off and they were so considerate about pain. They kept checking in and making sure nothing hurt. Once removed Helen took great care in getting them all cleaned and tidied up. I will admit I wondered why she was being so slow, but it was all worth it in the end. She put my tips on and was about to start the powder when she pulled out a small jar and applied a more white looking powder in only certain areas. I asked her what this was for, to which she replied, "this helps make it so the lines are not as noticeable from your nail bed." I was shocked, with all my prior pampering I've never had someone do this before. After all was said and done and my nails were perfect, both length and thickness, it was to my surprise I only paid $38 dollars. (I did do pearl tips and not powder) I was impressed and will return! My mom was upfront with him right from the start about her nail sensitivity--She gave him a clear heads-up so he would know to handle her hands with extra care. Instead of showing an ounce of empathy or adjusting his technique, he rushed through, caused her unnecessary pain, and didn't even deliver the service she asked for. Worse, while my mom sat there quietly trying to push through the appointment, Peter actively mocked her discomfort saying, "Are you crying, are you going to cry?" "Maybe you should take a pill next time." "This is good training for your nails." Bullying a client who took the time to disclose a physical sensitivity is unacceptable. When I brought his behavior to the front desk, management didn't care at all--offering zero accountability, zero apology, and complete indifference. If this salon thinks it's acceptable for their staff to humiliate paying customers while management looks the other way, they need a serious lesson in standard business ethics.

I visited early Saturday afternoon and was surprised that the salon was not very busy. Since it was my first visit, I told him I was new. He asked me to choose a pedicure, and I selected the Pomelo Pedicure. He then directed me to a book to choose a color. Because the selection appeared limited, I asked whether those were the only colors available. He replied that they were the dip-powder colors, although I had never requested dip powder. After I clarified that I wanted regular polish, he directed me to another display. I was surprised to find several nearly empty or dried-out bottles, which made choosing a color difficult. I was then directed to a chair, where my technician noticed nail dust covering the seat and adjoining table from a previous service. She wiped the area with a towel before I sat down. My pedicure was okay, but it felt rushed and did not seem to include everything I remembered from the Pomelo Pedicure description. When I received my ticket at the end of my service, I realized I had been given and charged for the less-expensive Express Pedicure instead. I mentioned it to the associate who checked me out, but I am unsure whether she understood my concern, so I decided not to pursue it further. On the positive side, I now know the Express Pedicure would be a convenient option when I am short on time. I am willing to give this salon another try to determine whether this experience was an exception or the usual standard.
