Yes, there is gluten free bread, but if you don't want cross contamination, it will require some discourse with your sandwich artist, or stay away from the sandwich. But this morning I ordered a Greek yogurt parfait for delivery and instead I got CREAM CHEESE... sour and whipped: not even close. Like, maybe someone in the kitchen mistook the cream cheese for yogurt, or actually tried to pass it off as a substitute. It was inedible. When I tried to order a replacement, I was told they were very busy and it would take a really long time. I also get the pick your own salad and I've had their quinoa bowls. They are filling and fresh. I ordered the salmon quinoa bowl once and the fish was not good. We were so hungry but looking for a quick and healthy dinner to-go, and of ALLLLL the places in Astoria on 30th Ave, we walked into Create & Go. Everyone was moving along the salad line fairly quickly, so we walk towards the back to order our brown rice bowls. Then we placed our rice bowl orders with let's call him guy#1. Guy#1 repeated our order back to us for confirmation, then turns to guy#2 to tell him what to make. Guy#2 looked confused and annoyed and tried to play it off as he didn't know those items so he didn't have to make it. Guy#1: repeats order and points at the menu on the wall. Guy#2 said something in Spanish. Guy#1: told us "ok! We will get your orders ready and bring it up to the cashier for you." So we go and pay and wait. At this point we were starving. ... 30 mins (but what felt like eternity) later ... Cashier: "What are you guys waiting on?" Us: "Our rice bowls.." They go and look toward the back and realized that no one bothered with our order. Guy#2 simply just did NOT want to make it. We asked politely if they even made the food yet, because otherwise we'd get refund and leave. They said yes, they're working on it now. OF COURSE we see guy#2 quickly gathering ingredients to begin. I was oh so hopeful when I stopped by one sunny afternoon. The place LOOKS like they crank out good food. The menu options are awesome, and they have soup, salad, burgers, and sandwiches. I left unimpressed. I ordered the Peter Luger. I was promised a turkey burger w/Peter Luger steak sauce, melted mozzarella, and "crisp" bacon. What I got was a mushy turkey burger, flavorless mozzarella, and the fattiest, cheapest bacon I've seen in a long time. I actually had to take the bacon off of the burger, it was that bad. Even after that, I didn't make it through half of the burger. It just wasn't good. The only redeeming factor was the steak sauce. I've been here a few various times. The menu is packed, I mean packed with endless options. From soups to burgers....... to salads. They also have foundation tap soda, which is rare. Murry hill is very good. Soups are always fresh and warm. They just have endless options which makes it very hard to pick from. This place is THE BEST. I come here several times per week, to the point now where the employees know my order. The staff are always very friendly, and although sometimes super busy, they are always efficient and friendly. I started coming here after the customer service and food quality of Brooklyn Bagel across the street started deteriorating. I often get an egg wrap or omelette, or greek yogurt parfaits, and either drip or iced coffee. All the food is really high quality, and I always custom order and it's never been wrong. It's also my favorite iced coffee in the area! Very smooth and very reasonably priced (compared to Gossip or Kinship). Overall, a great cafe with a wide variety of high-quality food. Their customer service isn't the best at all but I like to base reviews on the food. While the service at Create is friendly, the food and atmosphere just aren't good enough to merit a return visit. I went for breakfast hoping to find a place where I could settle in with a hearty meal and work on my laptop for a while, but unfortunately both parts of this plan were thwarted. I had a Santa Fe Breakfast Quesadilla with home fries and a Sumatra Roast coffee, but everything about the food was subpar. The quesadilla was soggy, and lacked flavor. Even the side of guacamole that I ordered was too limey and lacked consistency. The home fries, I barely even touched, as they were for some reason slightly sweet? Maybe it was the onions. The coffee was probably the best thing I had on Monday morning. On top of the underwhelming breakfast, their WiFi was down. When I asked if they had an alternate password for their other Create username, they said no and that they guessed it wasn't working. The woman behind the counter didn't offer to reset the modem, so I packed up and went home. I wish I would have just gone to Brookyln Bagel like I usually do. read more

Not impressed. First timer wouldn't know where to order cause there is no sign and the glass is so high that you have to yell your order for everyine to hear and hope the person working understands. Regular size salad is $7.99 and a large salad is $8.99. The menu says choose any two this, and three that and unlimited toppings. There is no sign that states what you are looking at when choosing proteins so I had to ask what things were. At this point the person making my salad hates my guts cause he is probably over worked and now has to deal with someone asking what things are. Oh and dont choose salmon as your topping or its $2.00 more! "ANY" sounded too good to be true... Anyway I probably wont be back because the premade salad sizes in the plastic containers were not filled well....for goodness sake its salad and I want it to be full. I was charged for a large and had to ask for my dollar back, which the girl was actually very nice about. I was all excited when I spotted this place the other night. And of course, I'm a menu hoarder and whenever I picked up this small booklet of a menu I was blown away. They offer everything from breakfast to lunch and of course items for dinner. Whether you want a sandwich, salads or quinoa bowl (love love love quinoa was so happy to see this on the menu) you can get it here at Create. I opted for the salad and went for the one that gave you unlimited toppings, it's really only a dollar and some change more so why not. The toppings offered are your standard. They have three different sections, the first section you can have as many toppings as you like, then the next section the toppings get a little fancier so you only get two and the final section of toppings in your protein and you get to choose one. I had a large baby spinach salad with grapes, chickpeas, red peppers, cherry tomatoes, black beans, carrots, artichoke hearts, edamame, walnuts, pecans, and tofu with only balsamic vinegar as my dressing. Since they just recently opened they are running a special, so if you order a sandwich or large salad you get a free drink. I ended up paying $9.79 for a decent size salad. For me, if you're going to offer unlimited toppings go nuts with that stuff don't skimp on me, so that's where I was a little upset about my salad because unlimited toppings is awesome! It's on the healthier side which I personally love but I wish their sandwich offerings and quinoa bowls were geared more to vegheads. We came in here at 9pm for a late dinner. I wanted something healthy because I was going for a physical the next day and didn't want the scale to reflect a binge fest. So I got the Central Park salad which has goat cheese medallions, sliced pear, almonds, cran raisins and grapes over organic baby greens with raspberry vinaigrette. I asked them to leave out the almonds and add grilled chicken. I didn't realize I would end up paying $2 for chicken but I think it was worth the addition of protein. My fiance had the Meat Packing District sandwich which is roast beef, cheddar, jalapeno peppers, leaf lettuce, tomato and chipotle mayo on the onion bagatta. He really enjoyed it and thought the portion was really large. It was $7.95 before tax so not an inexpensive sandwich. The ingredients seemed fresh though. We both really enjoyed our food but honestly a salad is just a salad. The helping of chicken was generous which makes me feel better about the $2 I paid for it but my salad came to $10.79 before tax for five ingredients. That is steep. Create continues to offer delicious ingredients like fresh pesto for italian sandwiches, sun dried tomatoes, avocados, and a delicious foodie invention called the "Sammy". They cover all meals breakfast, lunch, and dinner, even dessert, which is really sweet. It arrives quick when ordered and delivered, so quick that the hot sandwiches are still steaming. Feeling kind of yucky this weekend, and felt like having something fresh and on the healthy side, so I decided to order in. A self-proclaimed "make-your-own-salad" expert, I was waiting to find lots of things to be critical of. My delivery arrived in literally under ten minutes, and my salad - which included a rather tasty quinoa and very, very fresh veggie toppings - was awesome. The small size is hearty, and I'll be enjoying some salad in the morning, too. I'm a fan of their "make-your-own-fruit-salad" option. This place has gotten a lot better since it opened a few years ago. Their workers weren't the friendliest and they were skimpy on their salads. I'm happy to see it's much improved. You really can't go wrong with this place! I have eaten in Create and ordered take out. I knocked off a star for the prices and the minimum charge for delivery. Their food seems to be fresh and they aren't stingy with putting stuff in the salads (Kind of justifies the high prices right? Nope!). Somehow I never ever can stay under 13 bucks for a salad. Is there a trick? In the end, it well worth it though. A must to try here? They Quiona!!! Its enough to feed two people or eat some for lunch and leave the rest for dinner. I'm not a huge fan of their fries but their smoothies are AMAZING. It not so much that the prices bother me but its really the $15 minimum to order. Definitely the best (and only...
