Just a casual social smoker, but I really wanted to quit cigarettes entirely. I did feel a little intimidated by going into a vape shop not knowing anything, but Xander approached me right away and was super friendly. I explained I was looking for something simple and minimalist and he explained the different options for those very thoroughly, and even went on to explain a few slightly more advanced set ups I was curious about. The whole process was very easy and Xander was very patient and kind about my indecisiveness and never ending questions. I was extremely impressed with the customer service here. I later recommended this place to my roommate as she is wanting to quit cigarettes as well. Apparently she'd already heard really awesome things about this place from a friend! Will definitely be coming back. Edit: Just as an aside, a few reviews mention high markups. I'm sure the markup varies for different items, but for the setup I purchased it wasn't that much of a markup. I was having trouble with a kit purchased here a few months prior that simply had a faulty battery latch. Prepared to buy a new battery or entire kit if necessary, I was greeted with such condescension (somehow he felt it necessary to mention he was in the military? I didn't get his name but did get this info) I was immediately turned off and ready to leave, but didn't make it out in time before dude-o told me my entire setup was garbage and LITERALLY PULLED OUT PLYERS and ripped it apart piece by piece and tossed it in the garbage. I was so confused I just left and went to the oltorf location in awe of what had just happened. This place used to be great but their recent new hires suck. Most of the time, I really enjoy my experience at this location. Today, I came in to ask about 21700 batteries. The young man behind the counter told me that those are specialty cells that no one uses except for a select few mods that usually send the batteries with the mod. I originally frequented the Oltorf location. However, after their customer service went way south I moseyed over to this location. The extra couple miles of driving is definitely worth it to me. The customer service at this location is head and shoulders above the others. You're greeted almost immediately, even if they're busy with another customer; I never feel rushed. It's also nice to see familiar faces every time I go in. The cute gal that always seems to be wearing a stocking cap is very helpful and sweet as pie. It's nice to be able to actually cultivate a relationship with these guys instead of having a new group every couple weeks that I need to reacquaint myself with. It's been over a year since my first visit, I had a really bad experience here then, I've even forgotten about it and about the shop, a few days ago I got a message from Jordan, the owner of the shop, inviting me back to look at the store and give them another try, I was really skeptical but I decided to give it one more chance, I went there right before they closed, the shop looks awesome, I was greeted and helped by Jay, he is great and knowledgeable , he answered all of my questions and helped me pick a new mod and had me try a lot of flavors until I found one I was really exited about. When I got home and tried it it tasted different then what I tasted at the store, Jordan message me and ask me how the juice was, I told him about the issues and he message me and asked me to come by again and trade it out, when I got there he had 6 testers for me with different menthol flavors to try and I picked the best 2. Also their customer rewards are awesome, I bought the juice, the mod and a cartomizer refill and I earned a free 30mil bottle that same night. After the he message me and asked me how those where, and told me he had reached out to another store in Memphis got some flavors that he wanted me to try. I will probably be there within the next few days to try them out. Due to the diligence and commitment to customer service and the awesome staff, I would not only make this store my "go to" store but would also highly recommend it to every one I know that vapes, all you have to do is tell them what you like and give them time to find the right flavor for you. Have been coming by here for over a year now, Bought my last Battery and set up here, and now mainly buying Coil replacements. My 14 month old battery threading stripped and I needed a new Battery, wanted to move into the Sub-Ohm area. I was really wanting to replace my battery (even though I had a really old back up one) The Employees are GREAT!!! They are very friendly, knowledgeable, patient and helpful! Great service... $90 for the Coolfire IV TC100... -I should have took the time to check my online sources... after feeling it in my hand... -Online I can get it for $45... I understand mark up and profit margins, and expect to pay a little more at a brick and mortar shop, 10% or 20% more than online... but 100% more ? twice the price? and no returns? even though I didn't take the product out of it's original packaging...?? I have guided several friends here and they made purchases in excess of $200 in one visit... In the future I will suggest they check the products here and then Order it online to really save $$ (100% mark-up is way to high) I could have gotten the exact same battery + 2 different highly rated Sub-Ohm tank set ups for $85... I still recommend this shop for decent ecig juice especially with their sales, but I definitely don't recommend you buy anything else from them. I've gotten dud batteries, coils.... And they don't really have a return policy, at least a useful one. I have two not cheap batteries from them that barely work and have had buttons fall off that were apparently just barely glued on. Batteries I've bought online did not have this problem and have lasted years comparably. When I had 2 coils go out within days, they just gave me one extra for my trouble. And the guy just loudly promised that that tank (that requires the coils) was the BEST because it SAVED his life. Whatever dude. It doesn't even work. This vape shop has Top Notch Customer Service! The price of their equipment isn't anything to write home about. Occasionally you can find pretty good deals on their sales. However, they cannot be beat When it comes to their customer service! Recently I purchased three 60ml Tabacco juice bottles andI was pretty sure dude was the giving me the wrong flavor. However, the employee assured me it was the right flavor...the company had simply changed the color of the label. Once I got home, I cracked open a bottle and compared it to the 1/2 full bottle I already had and sure enough, same nasty juice I couldn't smoke to begin with! Plus, now I had opened one of the bottles and now had three AND a half bottles of it! Ugh & Grrrrr!! Next day I took them all back and a different employee went to the manager w my unique situation. To make matters worse, the juice that I ACTUALLY wanted they only had in stock in the 0 nic bottles!! The manager swapped out all three of my bottles (including the one I had opened to test) w the correct juice and threw in the little nicotine boosters (9 booster packages in all) and didn't charge me another dime! I went in here because of all the good reviews on yelp and it is close to home. I should have done more research like I normally do when making an investment. I have been taking CBD as a way to help with stress and anxiety and I heard that you can vape it as well. Having no knowledge of what a vape is I went in and talked to someone who seem annoyed that I didn't know what I wanted, I clearly stated I have never vaped before and I had questions. He recommended some cbd vape juice and a setup, I took his recommendation. The vape setup he sold me was 55 plus the vape juice of 60. Seemed reasonable to me because it all looked of quality. After using the setup a few days I looked up the brand of the vape rig he gave me and saw the manufacturer sells them for half the price that I paid for it. I understand businesses have to make a profit but charging double? The vape juice was also significantly less online as well, about 20 bucks cheaper. To me I feel like I was taken advantage of. This place is awesome! I've been in several times recently to purchase juice, atomizers and a couple of boxes from them. Cam, Daniel and Sheldon helped me in my last visit. They were all extremely helpful. They took the time to help me build a new coil and explained every step with a lot of patience. My visit before last was to go in and buy a piece that had broken on my old setup. The piece I went in for was apparently something they no longer sold, but had a few spare parts under the counter. The guy at the counter handed me the piece and said "no charge, have a good day." Yeah, where to start. Well we were actually just in the neighborhood and just got my wife a donut at the donut shop next door when she saw the sign and said that it was about time for her to get an e-cig and start. So we go in, and at first everything was ok. Now this is the 2nd Create a Cig store we have tried, trying the one on parker before. That store was a sham and was hoping to get a better experience out of this store. Not so much. The guy that was helping my wife was actually very nice and helpful for the most part. There was a guy behind the bar that we had a serious issue with though. The problem before with Create a Cig is that their people were not knowledgeable enough about the product, and one can see that they spent a lot of time educating their advisors behind the counter about many things. It's one thing to disagree with a customer, as our conversation started off when I asked them for a charging cable and this guy blurts out that we should get one of their wall adapters because ones from Apple products have been known to blow up e-cig batteries. This is where the problem started for me personally. This guy was insistent on saying that Apple chargers had a tendency to either damage the batteries of their e-cigs or cause them to explode. At this time he was wanting me to look at a bucket of batteries that he states exploded with the use of non regulated chargers. When this much bullshit comes out of someone's mouth that knows nothing about the ion lithium battery and how it works, that makes me question the validity of his statement. So I called him on it, but then said I do not want to discuss it with him anymore as his lies were pissing me off. He just kept continuing on like I need to see this proof in the bucket of dead batteries that he has in the fact that all of the ones he had were caused by bad adapters. NOTE: I have been smoking e-cigs for over a year and have not touched a real cig to this day. I started out with a small battery from Create a cig using over 15 different types of adapters and in the end after about 8 months it was time to purchase a new battery, which was acceptable. Since than at least half of the smokers at my job (about 500) switched to e-cigs) and NONE of them complained about exploding batteries, let alone if they did explode, they could not be attributed to the adapter. If anything, the battery might be unregulated, but it is built within specific specifications to work with adapters of that type. That being said, the battery itself was failing based on its lack of quality control, and not an adapter that was being used knowing that most people DO NOT use the cheap ass adapters that Create-a-Cig sells. Either way the guy was being a pompous asshole about this and would not let it go. I asked him to stop talking about it twice before I lost it and told him to shut his mouth because what he was stating was serious crap. If you are an ecig smoker, ask yourself how many adapters you know of that caused an ion lithium battery to explode. I am NOT stating that ion-lithium batteries do not explode, but I can tell you that it is almost always the battery itself that causes that to happen. Either way the box of dead batteries could in no way prove that adapters were blowing batteries. Either way in the end he would not shut the fuck up. It was grinding my gears at this time. (Sorry about the Family Guy pun heh) I had to actually step back from this yelp and actually give it a couple of days to mull it over before I posted as I was so fucking pissed when I left that store. We were right there about to buy almost $100 worth of shit to startup my wife on the ecig but in the end, ended up going to a place we found called, "All about Vapor" and got much better equipment for cheaper. On top of that the guy I was working with there had statistical data as well as case history. I was actually impressed. Rule of thumb. I should have asked the guy at Create-a-Cig to provide historical data, case studies, as well as other empirical statistical data proving that Apple adapters and other 3rd party adapters were blowing up e-cig batteries, but with the amount of lies that were being thrown down, I had to fucking leave that place quick. Before at the other store they knew nothing and admitted it for the most part. Now they think they know something but still don't know a fucking thing. What is worse? All the guy had to do was shut the hell up and I would have let it go, but he kept debating it with me like he had to fucking prove something. If a customer does not agree with what you are saying, and he noticeably starts getting agitated or upset about it, step back, shut the fuck up, and move on. This guy could not take the hint. Then as my wife and I were leaving he had the condescending tone of saying, "Have a nice day." Don't you hate when that happens? read more

Terrible service! Girlfriend and I were in there almost 5 minutes without being acknowledged and it was only after she asked to sample a flavor that Matt even bothered looking at her. Granted, he was helping another customer and the girl with him was helping 2 other customers but either one of them could've at least said, 'Hello' and let us know they'd be with us shortly. Once she got her sample she couldn't even taste it because Matt had put it in an eCig that was too small and had no oil in it. Bought a $50 dollar battery with a 90 day warranty. Took it in after work and they claimed that isn't the case (I wouldn't have bought it with a 30 day warranty when the cheaper ones have 90 days), but talked to a young woman this morning who told me I was within my 90 days. The battery stopped charging. Traded it out. Then was told only 30 days and that I was misinformed. They also stopped carrying my brand of liquid. Sounds to me like I am not the only who brought one of these back. Don't go there. ****UPDATE**** Create A Cig has gone beyond to make this right for me. Even making my own personalized ejuice.
