I love coming in here because every time I do they always have something new and cool to show me. This last time I got to see all their UV glass under the UV light. And it was dope!!!! I still can't get over the $20000 dollar piece that is in there. Blows me away because that's a car!!!! However that in itself is a sight to see along with the other custom glass that is in there. I changed models on the recommendation of the staff, and when I was experiencing problems, they told me they couldn't help me. You'd be better off buying them somewhere else, or know that if something goes wrong you're on your own. For the store, I would tell your employees not to recommend the Novo3. Especially when changing from the Novo4, there are significant performance differences, including: smaller cartridge therefore harder to open and carries less juice; significantly shorter battery life; and what seems a shorter coil because longer pulls taste burnt. read more

My fiance and I were literally driving down south lamar looking for the next smoke shop and saw the sign for this place. We popped in and were thoroughly surprised at the classiness of the shop. It was clean, well organized and friendly service. I immediately noticed that all the pipes were local Austin artists, which is way cool. I have been in other stores and they tell you and point it out, but the organization and labeling of each artists was impressive at this place. We were not in the market anything fancy and just looking for something cheap and small. Once the employee realized that he pulled out a bin from under the counter and he had exactly what we were looking for. I had a special display case that had a piece of art in it, which was cool in person! And that is just the thing about this shop it is really almost more like an art gallery and not your traditional every other smoke shop in Austin. So if you are looking for something local and nice then this is probably the nicest smoke shop I have seen in the atx. read more

Don't buy their Naturally Kratom products. It's almost 17 bucks for an ounce, for reference you can buy 2 ounces for 14 bucks elsewhere in Austin. But thats not why I'm writing the review. I'm writing the review as a warning! It's genuinely the most awful tasting kratom I've ever tasted and I've been taking kratom for almost two years. The staff was very professional and managed to be friendly in the process, I felt as if the people dealing with me knew what they were talking about and it wasn't all about selling me the highest priced item in the shop. I have been to all of the smoke shops in Austin, and yes even the other highly talked about one and I can tell you the staff and selection is of much higher quality. Smoke ATX is by far my favorite smoke shop in Austin. Every time I go there the staff is very attentive and helpful. It's always a pleasure to support this family owned business. Their glass collection is incredible. They have a fine glass selection locally produced products from incredible artists such as Salt, T-Stokes, Stephen Pierce and Snic, but also carry nationally pieces from nationally acclaimed companies such as RooR, Illadelph, Toro etc. They even have one of a kind collaboration pieces that you won't find anywhere else. In my opinion Smoke ATX does a great job with pricing. They always work to fit their customers' budget in the most efficient manner. I feel like every time I leave the shop I'm either leaving with something free or they gave me a discount. Their customer service is incredible and the employees are very knowledgeable of their products. Eddie is the man. He always knows how to make customers feel welcomed and even remembers those from out of town. One time I went there to buy 2 packs of Glostick vapor pens and the color I wanted was out of stock. Instead letting me leave disappointed, Eddie allowed me to prepay for the items and when they arrived he mailed them to me overnight. The products were packaged well and he didn't even up-charge me on the shipping. Ellen is great also. She is not only honest about the products, but she describes their functions and value in great detail and passion. She is both knowledgeable and down to earth. It's always nice to buy products from Ellen because she always educates the customer in a friendly and empathetic manner. One time a friend of mine was interested in piece and Ellen not only describes why it was a good piece functionally, she also explained the family history of the Glass Artist and his stake in the Austin glassblowing culture. Her knowledge and patience is to be admired. Forest is wiz kid. One Saturday I went by the store with some friends who knew nothing about essential oils and the associate glass pieces. By the time we left we almost had a degree in organic chemistry. One of my friends is currently a med student and he was blown away by Forest's level of knowledge and depth of the glass/essential oil culture. This guy knows what he's talking about. Shout out to Ryan for being friendly over the phone today. The owners are very friendly and welcoming. I enjoy going by there just to say hello to all the friendly staff. Whether you're in the market for a heady piece or simple papers, Smoke ATX is the place to go. Personally, I wait to spend my money on glass until I'm in Austin and at Smoke ATX.
