1 star Update: I've reduced the rating for this place from 4 stars to one. They lost a star because it was not tasty the last time I went. It was weird and lumpy. My sister ordered the exact same ice cream after I did and her's came out 10 minutes before mine. I think they messed mine up (blended it for so long the tiny marshmallow pieces I order pulverized and instead of making a new one, they just threw more marshmallows on top). I could see the teenage boy taking my ice cream bowl around to his coworkers asking them what to do. And that was the solution they came up with. My sister and I have decided not to come back because of this and because she thinks it's a waste of energy/resources to make all these individualized batches of ice cream for people instead of making one large batch. Plus, we like the Thai tea popsicles at that place in the Memorial area better. 4 stars Pros: so incredibly tasty. Even better than I expected. I'll definitely be back. Hoping they'll have Thai tea ice cream by the pint next time. Then I won't have to wait in line! Accepts credit cards. Plenty of parking. Cons: expensive! My order cost over $9! Long line. If my waffle bowl wasn't overcooked my icecream would've been perfect! I probably don't recommend getting a waffle cone. I was too busy focusing on trying to eat my waffle cone, I started losing flavor of my ice cream. My first time here and I'm a fan! Fruity Pebbles is my favorite, it seriously taste like milk and cereal! You can taste the richness of the premium cream. Delicious ice cream! They use a new fast freezing process were the put the cream and toppings in a bowl and drop a cone of silence over it. Viola! Ice cream!!! Great location in a strip center off of I-10 with a Northern Tool and Duluth Trading across the parking lot. Lots of loud, obnoxious Katy residents with their spoiled children. Bring your ear plugs. The staff is excellent. I don't know how the do it. read more

First of let me start off with their customer service. We live in Katy and pretty much everything closes here around 9pm. I had a desert craving last night and it was already 10:38 PM. I decided to give yelp a try to see what dessert places are open around us and we found Creamistry which was obviously closing soon. My husband rushed us there and by the time we got there it was 10:55, we saw people inside so decided to give it a try. I got into line and there were still people ahead of me. When it was our turn to order it was already past 11 and their staff member took their time explaining me how their menu worked. I end up getting their milk coffee with chocolate chip and it tasted so great. I wish every place offered great customer service like Creamistry staff. read more

This place has really gone down hill. The person taking our order and others were very rude and seem to hate their job. It's been a while since we've visited. It was great when it first opened. Not so now. They are on their phones and too busy doing their own thing to help the many people there. It was also very hot and stuffy, definitely seemed like the AC was off. Two stars are given only because when we finally did get our ice cream, it was tasty. We won't be visiting again. read more

Creamistry is the best ice cream place. It caters to your diet so if you are lactose intolerant this is the best ice cream place for you. That is not all they make the ice cream right in front of you and it is so cool how the smoke stuff goes so close to you. I'm so glad I found this place, it is hands down the best ice cream I've ever eaten in my entire life!! I got the cheesecake ice cream and it actually had little pieces of cream cheese mixed in. Divine! Ice cream is my favorite cheat meal so I'll be returning quite often! I would also like to add, stars are supposed to be based on quality and experience, not on the cost; hence why there are dollar signs underneath the company name. In this case there are two dollar signs which means it will cost you at least 10 dollars. If you don't like the prices, go to marble slab and get what you pay for. read more

The place its neat but it definitely needs a "woman's touch" - brownie still on the pan, messy floors, very little decor, not very friendly staff... overall the place is unique & it offers quality ice creams. I was so excited to try this new ice cream concept and i was really surprised. I will say that it is a tad confusing when you walk in and look at the menu. I find it be a little much and a slight turn off. The staff is helpful on what to order but they don't explain things to you well. Once we ordered we watched the ice cream made and it was quite cool. I will say, however, they really need a smaller size choice as the small is a lot of ice cream and quite pricey. The taste is wonderful and it's very fresh. We really enjoyed it but we didn't like spending 15$ on 2 cups of ice cream. I think I would want to go back more, if I could order a child size and not spend so much for me and my husband. read more

I saw this place advertised and was excited for the opening. My husband and I tried it out today. Firstly, the store was modern and clean. As expected for a newly open place, it was packed, so the atmosphere was a little chaotic. However, it seems like the employees had a nice routine down because we got our order in about 10 minutes. Not bad when the line was all the way from one end of the store to the other. They have a variety of flavors to try like fruity pebbles, coconut, taro, green tea, etc. You choose your size, flavor, and then toppings. I decided to get the regular size milk coffee ice cream with Nutella sauce in a waffle bowl to share with my husband. It was cool to see how they made the ice cream with the nitrogen. The ice cream was full of coffee flavor and was very creamy! I loved it! So what are the negatives about this place? All of this came out to be between $8-9! Pretty expensive if you're asking me. Regular size is around $5.95 which isn't too bad. I guess you're just paying for the experience of seeing them make your ice cream in front of you with the liquid nitrogen. The waffle bowl is an extra $1.25 for regular size, free for large size. Most ice cream places charge extra for the waffle bowl or cone, so I didn't mind that. I think what annoys me is $1.00 for each topping. Really? A dollar for a small drizzle of Nutella sauce? If you're gonna charge someone $1.00 for each topping, I would think you would be generous with it or charge less than that. At least give one free topping or charge based on the kind of topping. For instance, premium toppings like cookies, brownies, or cheese cake bites could be $1.00. Fruits, nuts, and sauces could be $0.50. The ice cream quality is good and the nitrogen thing is cool. If you've never tried a place that serves ice cream made this way, give this place a shot. Just be mindful of what additional things you want because the price adds up! read more

Went here on a Tuesday evening (today). Ice cream was good. No complaints there. Cool to watch the process. There were 5 employees present and not a single one of them was smiling or look remotely happy to be there. My dad was trying to talk to one of them and said sir several times and the gentleman never looked up. read more

There's not an option to select 0 stars so I had to choose 1. I had high expectations of trying this place out. The hours of operations on multiple sites show this location stayed open until 10pm. I arrived at this particular location at 9:23pm on 10/01 to find the place empty and the lights dimmed. At 9:28 I witnessed them stack the chairs and shut the lights. If it was open, it wasn't a welcoming feeling so I decided to leave. Any one reading this, I would suggest you arrive before 9pm, although they're supposed close at 10pm. Seemed as if the workers did not want to service they're customers. Terrible customer service. read more

I also ordered a 20 mini pastries for $3.25 each which were like pastries you get at a 7/11. At least if you are overcharging, let the food be good and not like you unwrapped pastries from a Costco haul. Worst of all was the coffee which was watered down and disgusting. Everyone threw theirs out so I just dumped it. What an utter waste of money. Also they only sent 8 cups with the coffee even though the breakfast was for 20. Stingy and bland all around. If you are catering for a small group, please save yourself the trouble and embarrassment and just order takeout from a local restaurant. I wish I took pictures of the spread but I was just too upset. All I took was the coffee which you can tell even from the picture was watery. ***The menu listed the items but didn't say only 1, 1oz piece of bacon per person - that's absolutely absurd for a normal breakfast portion. Who would cater one piece of bacon per person?

Reservation was for 3 hours with 1 hour for set up and 30 mins for breakdown. They allow outside food as long as it's dessert. The staff was incredibly nice and accommodating, shoutout to Adam for coordinating with us - helped us out in so many ways, from decor setup, to playing our music, to splitting bills, to accommodating for various dietary restrictions of guests, to cutting our outside cake we brought in, to assisting with cleanup and giving our guests to-go boxes for all the leftovers. My sister and I arrived at the store at approximately 8:58 p.m. and were informed by an employee that the store was closed at 9:00 p.m. However, both the website and the signage on the front door indicated a closing time of 10:00 p.m. This was confusing and frustrating, especially since other customers were still being served at the time, while we were refused service. The situation was embarrassing and left us feeling unwelcome. Given the premium pricing of the ice cream, the overall experience did not meet expectations. I am addicted to Creamisty! I really like the whole liquid nitrogen thing... It gives it a really fun and exciting feeling for kids. Luv this place!! Newly open place. This place is great for people of all ages especially young kids. All the ice cream is made right in front of you with liquid nitrogen and the ingredients are all fresh and mixed in. The choices are great and you can get regular, organic, sorbet, etc for a base. The experience is really different from a normal ice cream place and I love going here. Clean and neat environment. Staff are super friendly greeted every customers that enter the store. First time trying this place, and I wasn't impressed at all. 1 scoop of ice cream is $7 and you don't even get to taste test any ice cream. You kind of just have to hope for the best. I had a scoop of the vanilla ice cream and it didn't even taste like vanilla. It didn't taste like anything at all. I was very disappointed. So not worth the money. I also noticed they copied a lot from Stacked Ice Cream. I will not be going back to this place. I'll just stick to going to Stacked. You can get way more for such a reasonable price. read more
