1 star Update: I've reduced the rating for this place from 4 stars to one. They lost a star because it was not tasty the last time I went. It was weird and lumpy. My sister ordered the exact same ice cream after I did and her's came out 10 minutes before mine. I think they messed mine up (blended it for so long the tiny marshmallow pieces I order pulverized and instead of making a new one, they just threw more marshmallows on top). I could see the teenage boy taking my ice cream bowl around to his coworkers asking them what to do. And that was the solution they came up with. My sister and I have decided not to come back because of this and because she thinks it's a waste of energy/resources to make all these individualized batches of ice cream for people instead of making one large batch. First of let me start off with their customer service. We live in Katy and pretty much everything closes here around 9pm. I had a desert craving last night and it was already 10:38 PM. I decided to give yelp a try to see what dessert places are open around us and we found Creamistry which was obviously closing soon. My husband rushed us there and by the time we got there it was 10:55, we saw people inside so decided to give it a try. I got into line and there were still people ahead of me. When it was our turn to order it was already past 11 and their staff member took their time explaining me how their menu worked. I end up getting their milk coffee with chocolate chip and it tasted so great. I wish every place offered great customer service like Creamistry staff. read more

Divine! Ice cream is my favorite cheat meal so I'll be returning quite often! I would also like to add, stars are supposed to be based on quality and experience, not on the cost; hence why there are dollar signs underneath the company name. I find it be a little much and a slight turn off. The staff is helpful on what to order but they don't explain things to you well. Once we ordered we watched the ice cream made and it was quite cool. I will say, however, they really need a smaller size choice as the small is a lot of ice cream and quite pricey. The taste is wonderful and it's very fresh. As expected for a newly open place, it was packed, so the atmosphere was a little chaotic. However, it seems like the employees had a nice routine down because we got our order in about 10 minutes. Not bad when the line was all the way from one end of the store to the other. They have a variety of flavors to try like fruity pebbles, coconut, taro, green tea, etc. You choose your size, flavor, and then toppings. I decided to get the regular size milk coffee ice cream with Nutella sauce in a waffle bowl to share with my husband. It was cool to see how they made the ice cream with the nitrogen. The ice cream was full of coffee flavor and was very creamy! I loved it! So what are the negatives about this place? All of this came out to be between $8-9! Pretty expensive if you're asking me. Regular size is around $5.95 which isn't too bad. I guess you're just paying for the experience of seeing them make your ice cream in front of you with the liquid nitrogen. The waffle bowl is an extra $1.25 for regular size, free for large size. Most ice cream places charge extra for the waffle bowl or cone, so I didn't mind that. I think what annoys me is $1.00 for each topping. Really? A dollar for a small drizzle of Nutella sauce? If you're gonna charge someone $1.00 for each topping, I would think you would be generous with it or charge less than that. At least give one free topping or charge based on the kind of topping. For instance, premium toppings like cookies, brownies, or cheese cake bites could be $1.00. Fruits, nuts, and sauces could be $0.50. The ice cream quality is good and the nitrogen thing is cool. If you've never tried a place that serves ice cream made this way, give this place a shot. Just be mindful of what additional things you want because the price adds up! read more
