Sprinkles are my favorite, so I'm happy that they offer a white chocolate and rainbow sprinkles covered cone. I got the birthday cake batter ice cream with a bunch of mix ins since they don't charge extra for toppings, which is a plus! All the toppings made the ice cream have a nice and crunchy texture, and the ice cream itself was smooth, creamy, and tasty. They have lots of options to choose from. Employees are friendly and fast. The woman who served me was kind and amazing, but later when I got in my car I saw a man and woman with their baby and puppy walk into the establishment. They both read the no dog policy and walked in anyway. This dog was a puppy for one not wearing anything that says it's a service dog or one in trading but it was wearing a pink color. One of the poorest run Marble slab around. During middle of my visit one of the girl decided that is OK to sit at the counter (they serve ice cream on) facing the customer next to the heath certificate (Ironic isn't). Hygiene is not the greatest. Almost six dollar per ice cream with waffle cone, at least they can do a bit better on their hygiene habits. The floor has candy sparkles all over it. The ice cream is just too soft. I get that it's easier for the employees to mix in the toppings but it was dripping off their mixing spoons. In my bowl for 2 minutes and I kept having to drink it (in the air conditioned store). I ended up throwing half mine out and putting my sons in the freezer to hopefully eat tomorrow. I personally just hate soft melty ice cream... so as long as that doesn't bother you, this place is just okay. Maybe a malt or shake is the way to go here?!? Don't do it, just don't...going to this Marble Slab is like going to a casino, always a gamble on what type of service you'll receive, as well as trying protect what funds I have so that I won't be cheated. I went to this location to redeem a reward on my Slab Happy app. I requested a pint of ice cream and asked for 3 mix-ins for my pint. The mixins I got were basically crumbs but I wasn't complaining due to the fact that I had a Slab Happy reward and my cost would be minimum instead of the regular price. Imagine my surprise when I given a total of $10.00 from the cashier!!! Dumbfounded, I stated that that couldn't be right, due to the fact that it would mean that a pint would have cost $15.00 which clearly wouldn't have made any sense. The cashier then came back with a total of $10.99, which again, this is how much a quart at usually cost at Marble Slab, not a pint. The price he quoted still wasn't right. A pint usually around $7.99, so this still didn't make any sense being that my cost should have been around $2.99 if I redeemed my reward. Upon receiving my receipt, I saw that the cashier charged me extra $3.00 for unlimited mixins, which, according to Marble Slab's website, should have been free and came with the regular price of the ice cream pint I was purchasing. This is the second time dealing with this particular parlor in their attempts to cut corners and be cheap. I should have know better not to come back, but didn't feel like making the drive to my preferred Mable Slab on the other side of town. The first time I visited this location, they refused to honor a birthday reward stating that the store didn't participate in the Slab Happy program. The parlor has the reward system now, but eliminating the impact of the reward by now charging for mixins, which the company says is free. It was a long day and I didn't feel like fighting for charging extra, but this will definitely be my last visit to this Marble Slab. read more

Their not paying attention when you order they have their ear phones on the whole time so they miss what you say. I have been coming here since I was a child, so has my wife, and now that we have kids of our own we like to come here. We love the Ice cream, it has always been good.. However, the staff working today, specifically a young man, needs an attitude adjustment. He was very rude, more than once. My wife asked him to wash his hands (he was touching cookies- she is allergic) and he blatantly rolled his eyes at us, and then made a comment to his female coworker about the request. Then, when I asked for a lid to my banana split he again rolled his eyes at me. (It was raining and there's no dine in, common sense would tell you to give us a lid). This place is like a freaking time capsule. I swear on my entire suburban childhood that not a table nor chair nor artwork has moved an inch since I was last here over 10 years ago. It has the same pastel, early 1990s color scheme with the pink and the sort-of-mint tile. The faded photographs of kids eating have becoming slightly more faded. Yet, the ice cream remains delicious. The service remains surly at best. It was nice to be back for the nostalgia alone. It's expensive even with the unlimited free toppings. This name, Marble Slab, is now so woven into the name recognition category (like, say Dairy Queen) that perhaps they rely on this for the majority of their business. What they should be concerned with is their business practices, which are sorely lacking, at least this time around for me. An ordered ice cream cake was not ready twice on prearranged pickup time. Marble Slab's phone number , while clearly listed on my receipt, was not answered by a person, and when it finally rolled over to be answered, there was no company name mentioned. So it was impossible to know if Marble Slab was actually going to get my message. (Which I might add, was not picked up by the sales person there as I discovered, and was on his personal cell phone.) Did finally get my cake, which I was told I'd be given a 20% discount because of delay delay delay, but then when I asked for it at final pickup was told that I would get it in the form of ice cream over the counter. Then, when I served the cake one of my guests bit into a two inch piece of plastic, probably from a wrapper it had been stored in. (Just speculating here.) The same overwhelmed sales clerk served me when cake ordered and when I attempted three times to pick up cake. I felt sorry for this guy but wondered why he could not inform his manager that he sorely needed assistance. (He said on two occasions that someone had not showed up that day.) But shouldn't the cake had been finished the day before I was to pick it up (11 am)? So, where was his help the day before also?? Ample time to rectify the issue is think. What has happened to my favorite ice cream parlor??? I've been frequenting this marble slab location for 20 years and this is likely my LAST visit. The floors in the customer area were littered with dirty napkins and plastic spoons. The staff of 3 seemed untrained and unprofessional and completely unprepared for the 6-7 customers that walked in near the same time. I counted 11 flavors empty... not the odd flavors, but the popular flavors like strawberry and double dark chocolate at 6pm on a Sunday evening. I ordered sweet cream with fresh strawberries. The employee began mixing my ice cream on top of the remnants of blue cotton candy ice cream that were not cleaned off of the cold marble slab. My two grown kids ordered the same sizes but the portions were so different. The family in front of us paid with cash and apparently cleaned the register out of cash... I was asked to pay by credit/debit. How do you not keep track of how much cash you have handed out??? This place has been a family tradition of ours for years... unfortunately it seems Marble Slab Management isn't concerned with retaining loyal customers like ours. We'll be reviewing Yelp recommendations for future outings. Soooo disappointed... somebody in Management... PLEASE step up and address the training of your employees. read more
