This is what I ordered, a Side Mediterranean Salad for $7. It didn't even come close to this...

I happened to find myself here after going through Braums drive thru and it was closed. Of course I yelped it first, before ordering and it has great reviews! I ordered online and went inside to pick up. It's a 100% to go restaurant. I walked 3' into the entryway, right up to their 4' tall counter for pick up. The guy who was working last night was very sweet, timely and meticulous! I ordered a side Mediterranean salad, their pepperoni rolls, a pepperoni calzone and an apple pizza, all to try and see what I liked best. The salad was terrible, it was mostly solid hard white and brown pieces of a head of iceberg lettuce, yuck! The onions were supposed to be red onions, but they were white, second yuck. The pepperoni rolls are not your classic rolls, I thought they were going to be. They were ok, I forgot to order Ranch, maybe they would have tasted better? The calzone is large enough for 3 meals, but it was terrible, it's mostly my fault. Somehow I chose to add meatballs, which I hate, instead of mushrooms, ugh! I was so hungry, as it was 5pm, and I hadn't had a bite of food all day. I was so looking forward to the salad and calzone, and they were both terrible :( Note to self, make sure you've chosen to add mushrooms and not meatballs to your calzone, oh boy. And lastly, the apple pizza was good. However, had I known the amount of icing it's made with, I would have ordered it without the icing, it was a bit much and made the pie overly sweet. So not the best experience, partially my fault. If I go back, I think I'll try their pizza and make sure I choose mushrooms and not meatballs as a second topping!

We had a Alfredo sauce 7 cheese pizza and added meatballs to it. The crust was a little thicker than I like but it had an amazing flavor. The meatballs were thinly sliced and had a great texture and flavor. The pizza overall was delicious. The staff that created me were friendly and helpful. This was first time here and we will definitely be back.

It was odd to decline a Visa Debit gift card while accepting my Visa Debit card. Not sure if there are fees so they decline.? We ordered and small Santa Fe & medium florentine. Both look great. Soft crust but still holds the very watery, soggy toppings. That's usually a problem & super soggy in the middle, falling apart, toppings sliding off the center. Didn't happen here. :) Was very little sauce on the Santa Fe, maybe because of wet toppings, so it tasted "watery" without the rich base but still very good. The Florentine made me laugh. I expected fresh spinach. The style is like creamed spinach at German restaurants. A garlic spinach base. Perfect for me who loves Ghormeh Sabzi so now I'm wondering if Persians are keeping it on the menu? Lol. Most I know would be mad about this. I loved it though. The person answering was very nice too.

1000000000/10 forget the average papa John's, Dominoes, Pizza Hut and the rest!! This is the small pizza place you run around the city looking for!! Greeted by the owner with a smile ear to ear upon arrival and felt as though I was part of the fam!! And the food delivered the same feel this isn't your average pizza served in every neighborhood joint the crust was fluffy and the sauces paired so well together. We ordered the cheesy bread, sausage pizza and cheese pizza and were blown away by the taste. I speak for my whole family when I say we've found our new pizza spot and are recommending Crazy Tomato to everyone!! read more

The food is delicious. Top rate! The delivery seems to always be a problem and running behind. Last time we ordered it was 30 minutes after promised. This time it was 20 minutes late after promised. They are having problems with delivery drivers and keeping them which I understand, but it is not acceptable to always be this late. read more

A friend and I decided to randomly try this place and ordered the Bacon Cheeseburger pizza, we ended up liking it so much we ordered the same thing the next day, and then a week later! Now, I haven't tried anything else there yet, but in my opinion this is a darn good pizza. Completely consistent quality all three times. I met two different gentleman manning the front when I picked up, and both were very friendly and personable each time. The price of an extra-large is completely reasonable, in my opinion. I can't rate this on the actual food. This is based on customer service. The reason I'm leaving a 1 star is because I call to place an order and the phone is answered " crazy tomato pizza, we are swamped with orders right now, is this for pick up or delivery?" I responded with " delivery please" he says " you have 3 online orders ahead of you please hold"...so I hang up. I understand it's probably busy right now. Which I would believe is good for business right? That's great. But don't be rude to me because you are busy. I would have understood if he put it nicely, but this dude was really short with me. I found out about Crazy Tomato while reading a post on NextDoor discussing favorite local non-chain restaurants in Allen, and this place kept on popping up. Upon reading the menu, it just seemed like your regular pizza/sub/calzone spot. Because I'm doing my best to eat at all restaurants in Allen, I ordered two calzones from here for me and my husband's usual Friday lunch. The two calzones we ordered were the combo and the chicken florentine, and both are $8ish each. Upon ordering via phone, the staff had a high level of friendliness and professionalism which I appreciated. My husband ended up picking up the order, but he said the same thing during the curbside pickup transaction. I was surprised to see two big calzones when he came home. One is good for two people, but my husband and I tend to eat a lot so of course we finished it all. We loved the calzones. It was stuffed with good amount of veggies, meat and cheese. I liked how the marinara sauce was on the side instead of inside the calzone. The dough/crust/bread/whatever you call it.. it was delicious. My husband loved the combo calzone, and I loved the florentine - I love spinach and ricotta a lot so it was perfect! Overall, we had a great experience - from the customer service to the quality of the food. Crazy Tomato will be on our regular rotation now and we look forward to trying more items. Delicious calzones. My favorite is the California - very unique to have walnuts, but it works so well. Calzones come with a side of delicious dipping pasta sauce. COVID-19 procedures are impeccable. Everyone is wearing masks and gloves are continually replaced. Curbside pick up only - no visitors inside. read more

The pizza here is so good! And the specials are very nice. The owners are so sweet. The first time I came here, the owners gave me a very nice special and treated me to a free 2 L Coke for it being my first visit. You can't go wrong with any of their specialty pizzas, they are all good! I did the fajita pizza on one side, and the loaded on the other. I was torn between the two but the owner recommended that I try splitting it as a solution. It worked out very well. No offense to the chain pizza places, but you can't go wrong with a good specialty homemade pizza shop with friendly owners. I definitely recommend, and I will be back! read more

New to town, we were looking for some good pizza nearby. The person that answered the phone to take my order was so nice and friendly. So happy we found this place! Got a large speciality pizza and Italian cheese bread sticks served with marinara and garlic sauce (my favorite). Everything was really, really good. Delicious, fresh ingredients (peppers and onions cooked just right!), tasty sausage, and just the right amount of thickness on the pizza! Our new favorite pizza place for sure!!! Had these guys on my list of bookmarks for a while mostly due to all of the five star reviews. So we finally got around to checking it out. If you're expecting good pizza you'll find find that. Not amazing, but good. Their large is about the size of everyone else's medium so keep that in mind. The cheese and seasoning are on point. I found my hand tossed crust to be super chewy, maybe a little underdone but had a nice golden brown on the bottom. So idk. No lighting on the outside, maybe that's on the shopping center owner, but super dark at night. Pick up counter only, nothing fancy, but nothing fancy is really needed when you're just picking up. read more

I've always wondered how this pizza place stayed open for years in the strip mall, that they're located in. We finally tried it. I have no idea why we waited so long!! They make terrific pizza! They have more interesting offerings than most pizza places. Sorry, I should've taken photos. Our pizzas were delish! My kids loved their Hawaiian pizza--those can be hard to find! My vegetarian pizza was wonderful too! Give this place a try! You'll love it!! read more

We ditched the mainstream pizza places for this local gem about 2 yrs ago and never looked back. The traditional crust is so good...and the sauce! Isn't that what makes a great pizza? Hamburger pizza tasted just like it sounds. I called for delivery Sunday, July 12 and was told they were very busy and it food would take longer then usual. I was fine with it and the order came within the hour. I ordered 3 pizza, cheese bread, and 24 wings. Not bad for food that was supposed to be late. Food was still hot. Establishment is under strict COVID distancing, will only take payment over the phone and will food at the door only. read more

I was looking for a new Pizza take out option and came across great reviews for Crazy Tomato. There are alot of what I consider legit reviews utilizing my Yelp Deciphering Tool so I decided to give it a try. We ordered a 1/2 cheese and 1/2 meat and added 10 hot wings to go. The guy said 25 minutes and thats exactly when it came out of the oven nice and hot. Plopped it down in front of the TV for the football game,(they lost) and everything was delicious. The wings were a pleasant surprise. They had a nice chared crust like they had been briefly broiled which prevented the typical soggy crust you can get sometimes. Betteer than most places(Wing Stop comes to mind) that bill themselves as wing resturants. The pizza had more than generous amount of toppings and was very satisfying. I recommend this place and will return. read more

We didn't realize until we were ordering that they do a BOGO half off deal on entrees every Tuesday, as long as everyone orders an entree. As a result we definitely had too much food on the table but it was nice for our party of 7 to try a bunch of different things! I didn't have time to take pictures of it all, but we started with the bruschetta and the sautéed mushrooms. Bruschetta came out hot and great as usual, but the mushrooms were a bit salty. The complementary salads were nice and light and our servers were great at refilling waters and bringing out more free bread throughout the night. For our entrees, we ordered the creamy lemon shrimp pasta with spaghetti, the eggplant parm with fettuccine, the lasagna bolognese, the shrimp spezia, the tortellini bolognese (one of the specials that day), and the dolce e salato & cesarini pizzas. My favorite items of the night were the dolce e salato pizza (the sweet and savory combo was excellent and the crust was light and fluffy) and the shrimp dishes - the shrimp was cooked very well. I'm not a big red sauce person but the bologneses were also pretty good. The long noodles were a little mushy in all the sauce but the tortellini was not bad. Portion sizes were huge so we took three boxes of leftovers home! And one of the ladies at the host stand helped us take some nice group pictures outside the restaurant after our meal. For a solid local red sauce joint that will fill you up and then some, look no further!

I've lived near Crazy Tomato for years now and never even knew it existed. My family and I were looking for a diner and stopped by a little shopping complex, there we found Crazy Tomato. Apparently it's Take-out and Delivery only so that was disappointing. Tony (the owner) urged us to give them a try, and that day we did. Let me tell you, BEST DECISION EVER. Tony walked me through ideas and different deals we can get, he was trying to save me the most money with the best food. We ordered a Few specialties and cheesy breads. Me and him talked for a good 30 minutes on current events, somehow with phones ringing non-stop he made me very comfortable. Crazy Tomato is a Family run business with only a few non-family members. They tend to handle things old-fashioned and that's my favorite part. I'm not a fan of the whole "The customer is always right" statement. Our order took a bit longer than usual since they were extremely busy but it was worth it. Since then we've been ordering Crazy Tomato at a constant rate and we don't think we will be stopping anytime soon! Tony is a TRUE Original when it come's to pizz! read more

OMG...Just experienced an explosion of flavors in my mouth... Best Pizza ever, everything else is going to taste like crap now lol. Used their coupons and when I got there was greeted by a really cool guy named Tony, he hooked me with a couple deals and in no time my friends and I were chowing down on some delicious specialty pizzas. OK heres a list of ones you need to try -Mediterranean -Meat Crazy -South of the border -Buffalo Chicken -Chicken Bacon Ranch BTW you can order one pizza with a specialty pizza on each half, good for trying stuff out! My friend and I stopped in for lunch a few days ago. We loved the calzones. It was stuffed with good amount of veggies, meat and cheese. I liked how the marinara sauce was on the side instead of inside the calzone. it was delicious. My boyfriend loved the combo calzone, and I loved the florentine. Everything was so good and taste. Crazy Tomato is the #1 pizza place in the DFW METROPLEX ITs Delivery and carry out and man ohhh man its somthing else.
