If you like crazy bread, you'll love their Italian Bread. It is not expensive and you could make a meal of that alone. The tomato sauce is very good and is slightly different that other pizza places. The pizza itself is very good but I am not too crazy about the calzone. They don't put the sauce inside, but instead give it to you on the outside in a cup. The man that owns it is very very nice. He is the main reason I didn't review it my first time trying it because the pizza was just so-so and with all the great reviews I thought I must have had a bad pizza that day. I was a little skeptical of this place since I'm a location snob. This place is in an older part of Allen next to a vet. However, don't allow appearances fool you. Look past the small dingy location and find one of the best pizza locations in town. The customer service was great. Both when I ordered and picked up. We ordered their 2 mediums and cheese sticks special. Price was a little high but the taste made up for it. We only had the regular crust and not their thin crust. Give them a try. The pizza here is fantastic, as are the breadsticks, and the service of the staff. The only 2 minor complaints I've ever had with them are: 1. Some of the staff, though extremely friendly, is a bit hard to understand over the phone due to a pretty thick accent. 2. They seem to only have one phone line, so be prepared to redial and be on hold for as long as 2-3 minutes as they often get slammed during peak hours (usually Friday and weekend evening times) If you can manage those 2 issues, than you will find yourself enjoying some absolutely fantastic pizza! read more

After driving to/from Denison to pick up my Mom on Christmas Eve, I decided to order pizza for lunch so we didn't have to go out in the weather (she uses a walker and my XUV is hard for her to enter/exit). Mom likes pizza even though it's hard for her to eat. She ate as much as I did and that's rare for her. I still laugh when I remember her asking for a second plate! Well, to make a long story short, I guess I'll be bringing pizza to mom every now and again. She loved it. I loved it. As many times as I've had the cheeseburger pizza on thin crust, I just don't know how I still get chills every time I eat it. It's delivered hot, and the crust is just right for me. To make things even better, Tony delivered it and that was nice. Tony even called later in the afternoon to see how the pizza was! I ordered a 5 cheese calzone but it was just way too much cheese. I didn't think "too much cheese" was a phrase I would ever utter but it was too much. Would try something more simple in a calzone next time with like 1 meat and 1-2 cheeses. Salad is nothing to write home about. Lettuce and veggies in a plastic container with a packet of Ken's salad dressing. I love the bacon cheeseburger pizza and will order it again for sure. Its carry out or delivery only. Really great original pizza. The more creative combinations have always impressed me, so don't be afraid to try something "different" here. The crust is very bready, so if you don't like that go with the thin crust. The calzone is a good version for each of the pizzas. My wife likes them more, but I prefer the pizza. I've lived in Allen for over a year and finally got around to ordering a pizza from Crazy Tomato. The owner, Tony, answered the phone and was very friendly. He was very helpful in suggesting the best crust option for the type of pizza being ordered. I ended up ordering two pizzas, a 7 cheese and a supreme. The cheese pizza was out of this world. Great flavor and we ate it all. I normally like supreme pizza but found this one to be too "busy". I think my normal inclination with delivery chains is to load up the toppings to mask the lack of flavor of the crust,cheese, and sauce. In the case of Crazy Tomato, it really took away from the pizza to have all the extra toppings. My recommendation is get the 7 cheese and if you want a topping stick to one or two at the max. I will be ordering from Crazy Tomato again soon I'm sure. read more

Weve been going to the Crazy Tomato for the year and a half we've lived in Allen, along with 3 or 4 other local places, trying to find the best pizza in these here parts. No doubt in my mind we've found the best in Allen here. While it's not quite Olive Oils' (Richardson branch) quality, and that's probably due to the cheese, it's a solid 5* pizza joint. We just go with the basics and add ingredients we're fond of and have yet to have anything that was less than very good-excellent. While I'm reluctant to award 5* to anythng less than a gourmet sit down "The Mercury" type restaurant, I'm rating the Crazy Tomato on a "pizza" scale and Tony's joint is definitely a 5* pizza joint. read more

ordered for the first time a couple days ago and as soon as I took the first bite I knew i'd be hooked. we got a medium crazy crazy pizza, the dessert pizza, and a baked pasta combo. the crazy crazy comes with "crazy sauce" instead of tomato sauce and I can't tell you exactly what it is- but it's GOOD. I couldn't decide on which pasta dish I wanted, but that was no problem as they have a "baked pasta combo" which is spaghetti, ravioli, stuffed shell, and manicotti in red tomato sauce (or alfredo upon request and a small additional charge). it was baked to perfection and absolutely delicious. lastly, we got the regular size dessert pizza, made with pizza crust, cinnamon sugar and drizzled with icing. it was the most perfect dessert i've had in a long time. to make a long story short, my husband and I just finished our leftovers (from 3 days ago) and just called to place another order today. we will be regulars!! read more

Love this place. The owner (I think) is Tony, and he is the sweetest guy. Anytime we order something that has an existing coupon, he'll proactively find it for us and apply it. Their cheese blend is really good, IMO. I also think they use really high quality meat. I've only eaten the pepperoni and italian sausage, but it is my favorite in the area. I have a friend that lives in Euless who will drive all the way over here to Allen 2 or 3 times a year to get a pizza from here! They are a real family oriented place. Try it out. read more

You can definitely tell the difference as they actually remember who you are and care about their patrons (unlike big box stores.)
