He tried to sell fake baseballs with COAs. All the COAs he posts are from made up companies which im sure he has a buddy he colludes with. The fact that they dont offer reserves on such high profile items like a babe ruth baseball signed for as little as $500 is proof he's in on it. I have contacted Mr. Gottfried numerous time to get my money and purchased merchandise back and he has not responded. I spent 11,875.00 and have the balls evaluated by JA Spence who is very well known in authentication and the results are in writing and not authentic. I paid 3,915.00 for this report to authenticate and have sent the balls and reports for Rich to examine. He had sent a letter saying the balls were authentic but had no proof from any reputable firm such as JA Spence. Now I can't contact him by e-mail or by the phone. Stay away! I see that Rich, the owner responded-- I went online and read the reviews about his company and that he sells fake baseballs with COAs according to Peter M and & Doug T. Rich has not provided any documentation from a reputable firm such as JA Spence or Beckett to back up the authentication of the baseballs. My Items that were sold on Ebay for over $3,000 in April and May 2022 were NOT included in the recent check I received after writing my first Yelp review. Richard will send you a stapled copy of sold items. That packet added up to more than $700. Richard added the packet to be $611.00. I agree with reviewer Johnny J that Richard uses a variety of tactics to not pay customers who consign, what is due. Sterling silver sold FOR $3,000 on May 16th, but Richard conveniently did not include that item in the list of sold items to be paid. Nothing was defective or broken as each item was inspected before it was accepted. The 30 day return period is over. Reviewer JT writes that she felt like her items were stolen. After 8 phone calls and 2 visits to the store I finally received a very small underpaid check which did not include at least 6 larger ebay sales shorting me in excess of $1500. It is easy to sell on ebay and get good reviews and lower your prices to undersell the market when you do not pay for the items you have sold online. I've been trying to get money for items sold for months. Called the store many times, only spoke to a person once. Left messages all the other times. I was asking for my money or the return of items that I left there for sale. Finally got my check a few days ago. I deposited the check and it was returned with a $12 fee because there were no funds to cover the check!!!! I just called to tell them that I want my money and I want them them to give me the $12 the bank charged me for their no good check! I'm done with them once I get my money. I left several 45 RPM records with them, mostly Elvis and Beatles. When I spoke to a person, she said she couldn't find any accounting of what I left there. I only saw a tiny fraction of the money because Richard used a variety of techniques to avoid paying me. He claimed some of the items he took, he never received. Others he claimed were broken, defective or worthless and that he had to dispose of them (note he did not have my permission or authorization to dispose of anything). Others he understated the sales price of the items, I know because I found them sold on his Ebay for far higher prices than he claimed he sold them for. I received a few hundred bucks for several thousand dollars worth of items. He always like to point to his stellar Ebay seller rating as proof that he's on the up and up. Of course anybody selling good quality stuff for cheap prices on Ebay will have a good rating. Be careful of these people. We brought in a number of items to this store to be put up. We were told that they don't call you when something sells, you need to call them and check. A month later I call and was told that they did not get the items up yet but were about to do it. Fast forward to 2 months later. I have called them 5 times. Each time I get no answer. I agree totally with Kibret,M, and JT. This man is an expert at dealing and wheeling a deal... I thought I would do business with the man only to find... He is not a man of his word. I left items for him to sell . He called a few days later to say he had people interested in the items, but wanted to pay me less then my lowest amount I wanted for the items. I said, NO. I had my boss go by there and see what was up about a week later. My Boss told him I wanted a certain amount for the items. He said ok. So I looked each week on his website and ebay... My items were no where to be seen. Finally 4 weeks later I call him and he said, what about my items? They aren't on your website or ebay? He said, OH, I told your boss we sold them for your lowest amount you wanted. I said, so when do I get my check. He said, I will send it out right away. 2 weeks go by, No CHECK. My Boss stopped in and asked him what was up? He said, Oh, I have it right here.... He did not. He wrote it and gave it to my boss. My Boss brought it to me and said, RUN to the bank and cash it!!! I don't trust this. SO if you do have him sell items.. remember the first paragraph on the page you sign.
