Awesome place! Huge, clean and items priced to sell. When for plates, left with a cart of goodies.

It's.a lovely moderately sized store tucked into one of the strip mall buildings, near the State Store and the Indoor Pool school. Yes, there's an indoor pool in one of the stores. It's a swim school or something. But I digress... Everything was laid out very nicely, they have many things to buy, but not so much that you're overwhelmed. We learned that there are two kinds of stock: CONSIGNMENT items have a larger yellow tag. DONATED items have a small bright orange/red tag. They tend to keep the consigned items more towards the front of the store, also. So if you see an item and you think, wow, that's kinda high...check the tag. Chances are it's a consigned item. We browsed about and found some lovely things - FDC bought a gorgeous Italian Pottery vase and I got some very cool drinking glasses that just happen to match some shot glasses that I gave Lion a couple years ago. Score! On subsequent trips I have found an awesome set of mid-century bamboo plates for picnics (LOVE THESE!) and other fun stuff too. The staff are completely lovely people, the store is clean, well lit and well organized. Proceeds benefit survivors of domestic violence - they have a shelter for victims and also fund programs. Parking is super easy (pro tip - avoid the crowds, small parking lot behind the Barnes & Noble easy in/easy out!). Heck, yeah, I'll be back. It's a great little store supporting a very needed service in our area.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. Tons of cool items to choose from. I saw a ton of nice men's suits from Jos A banks. I'm sure someone will pick them up asap. Plenty of housewares, furniture, shoes and clothes to choose from I'll definitely be back

I tried telling them that it was my dress and they had a fresh tag on it and said it was purchased in July of last year. Platos closet does not put dates on their tags, you can look it up and see for yourself even in the store, nor have I in the 4 years that I've been going there every 3 weeks, have seen that dress in the dress section. It was the same size same color same everything, that was my dress and they took it to sell without paying me. The one male owner tried to gaslight me into thinking I was basically crazy. When I went through the bag of stuff they gave back to me, the dress was indeed not there. I was furious but decided to leave it be.

I was told that it would be 15-20Min to go through everything. I got a text that it was ready about an hour later. When I was given my bags back, I was told that my clothing was outdated and they don't take formal wear. My entire bag was women's athletic wear and some men's shorts/shirts. When I asked for clarification on the "formal wear", I was told he had no idea and he didn't go through my bags. I honestly think it was a shift change and the last guy didn't feel like going through my stuff. Very disappointing experience and would not recommend bringing items here to sell.

"Crazy Richard" lists items to get people interested, yet no reserves on something that you know will sell for 30x the value. This is over half a year ago someone already warning about his shady deals. https://www.reddit.com/r/baseballcards/s/AJmCD2eS0X He will deny everything and claim the COAs are good, but if you look at his auction history - anything that has MDA forensic which is a new name for "park place authentication" which was shutdown in 2023 all tie to fakes. You also don't get access to this type of museum quality and rare collectibles and list on "hibid". I was lucky to bail out of my transaction since I only thought I was putting a minimum bid and didn't realize that the min would win since no bidders. I'm just trying to create awareness that this guy is a con artist and definitely trying to pull some shady business on auctions sites. I've seen him on HiBid and LiveAuctioneers and he is not getting access to these types of items to sell for pennys on the dollar. Look up the address on the crappy website MDA Forensics lists as their business address. Not registered to this business. SCAM ALERT !
