They were helpful without being pushy and informative without being impatient. We were treated like valuable customers as they listened to, provided guidance for, and suggested ideas about, our needs and goals. The exceptional customer service made us feel like winners! I managed to find a mattress I liked, but the prices elsewhere were out of reach. However, Whole House Fine Furniture's prices seemed to somehow have remained low. While they had a limited selection of mattresses, they carried some top end stuff including the one I settled on elsewhere (just for significantly cheaper). They even through in delivery. Worth noting that those delivery guys were on point. I felt bad having them climb 3 flights of stairs, but they were up with the mattress in no time. They even helped rewrap my old mattress and get it down to the street. While I haven't purchased anything else from Whole House Fine Furniture, they do have a huge selection of most any furnishings you can think of. We checked out a few coffee table options and might be back for one sooner than planned. I'd definitely recommend a visit if you're on or around Main Street.

Items were around the price you would expect so good pricing and with the added discount made it seem worthwhile. Delivery costed around $80 and covered both the mattress and sofa. They were flexible about delivery days and if you need a more specific time that isn't within a range of hours they are willing to help. Delivery was done professionally and can be scheduled within days (obviously depending on warehouse availability which I had no trouble with). The first sofa was too large for my apartment (I ordered before moving in) so they took it back and I went in and got a smaller one. They didn't charge extra delivery fee and were very helpful and understanding. Next one fit well. I would recommend this place.

The sectional pull out couch is still great after years of use. We've stopped in a bunch of times to pick up various pieces such as my beautiful office desk. Stopped in to look for an ottoman but I didn't find exactly what I envision but the staff was very helpful. They showed me tons of options and patterns I may want to choose so that it fits with my couch. I really enjoy this no pressure shopping. We ordered a custom sofa from Sheffield with COM fabric. The sofa was delivered with the correct fabric and looked good. However, we later realized that the chaise portion of the sofa was 3 inches narrower than specified on the order form. Instead of being 39" wide (interior) it is 36" wide. Sheffield has refused to do anything to make the order match what was specified, what they agreed to, and what we paid for. They claim that being 3" narrower is "within spec" and maybe a result of the fabric pulling it narrower. The fabric!?! Pulling a wooden frame in 3"?!? An absurb dodge to avoid their cost to rebuild the sofa as specified. Sheffield did not stand behind the contract that they signed to deliver quality furniture.

I figure I'm dealing with Ashley and paying it off within 101 days no problem. After setting up a plan and paying the loan off within 45 days of delivery everything is good. I then find out that it was all a lie, you have a $99 fee no matter when you paid it off. So as far as I'm concerned the salesperson and the Manager are liars and I will never deal with this store again and will let everyone I know be aware of this scam!

I stopped in and they told me they have 30-60 days to send me check. Sixty days came and went-no check. I stopped in three more times over a period of another 6 weeks - no check sent . Finally I made a low key stink and with reluctance I finally got paid. That's when I read the reviews and found this is a common trend for the owner of this store. This was a stressful experience. You can do well at this store but as you read they don't stand by the customer should the need arise.

Still very good prices, the "yellow tag" items are consignment and generally higher priced than the store's donated stock. It about killed my soul to see an awesome vintage salt & pepper mixed in with newer dishes in a consignment lot. Aaah! Staff are great, the store is clean and bright. I'll definitely be back. Note: angled parking in front of the building is NOT free, Pontiac is a public street, and those are pay at kiosk metered spots.

I have been a customer at this store since it was called Nana's Attic. Today I was there, looking for furniture. The selection was a bit overpriced for the quality. Suddenly, I needed to use the restroom. The woman working informed me that they did not have a public restroom and that I could go to the Dollar Tree next door. The Dollar Tree did not have a usable restroom. I returned to thrift and thrive because, quite frankly, I was literally about to pee myself. I begged to use the employee bathroom. The employees lied to my face and said that there was no bathroom in the entire store. Yeah right, if that's true, then that's a worker's rights violation, and they would not be in business. I explained that I was having an emergency and they did not care. It really stinks to be a loyal patron of a store, then to be treated so poorly in return. Particularly during a vulnerable moment. There are plenty of better thrift stores in the area with better prices AND customer bathrooms. It's a shame that a store that has such a great mission doesn't provide a great shopping experience.
