I'm not one to write reviews and this may be my first and last time doing so, however; after reading the 1 and only review on YELP for this business I feel it's important to let you know that the person who gave that review must have issues because I am about as critical of people and their customer service as you can get and not only did I feel like Steve, the owner "the only person on duty" was helpful and patient with me both times I was in the store, I was impressed. He went above and beyond for myself and other customers shopping in the store both times I was there. He is extremely knowledgeable and refreshingly honest in his opinion to help guide you toward what is ultimately best for your needs. He is a one man show, effectively communicating and selling to multiple people at a time and yes that does mean that he's not with you every second but does that mean he's rude or ignoring you? No. I noticed he has the unique ability to give you exactly the right amount of information and knows when to walk away (going to help someone else yes but also giving you a chance to process what he told you and mull over your decision as he has SO MANY OPTIONS). Insulting someone's appearance is petty and childish, I'm not sure how having a combover effects his ability to do business but I will say that this reviewer needs to check google images for what a combover really looks like because Steve most certainly does not have one. While this reviewer may have found stools that LOOK similar to a set of stools in Steve's shop I would most certainly guarantee that they are not the same exact stools and/or quality as the majority of what he sells is made to order (which is why I am not so patiently waiting 8 weeks for my stools). Save yourself the running around thinking you'll find something just as good that will work just as well that you can take home NOW just because you don't want to wait. I ran all around trying that only to return 3 weeks later to order the stools and I am so glad I did. Not only because the stools are of very high quality and gorgeous (which explains the price- no they're not the cheap stuff, they're the ones that will LAST, "get what you pay for" right?) but because I am happy to be supporting his business and will continue to do so as long as he's still there. I will recommend him to everyone I know that has a need for what he sells. If he were so rude and his product wasn't worth the price then he wouldn't still be thriving in business there 40- yes, FORTY years later! read more
