Ok, I'm giving this place 3 stars as a Chinese buffet, not in comparison to a Michelin star restaurant. I have to say that I'm surprised that there is halfway decent Chinese food in E-Ville. There are too many options to mention them but the pot stickers and dimsum are pretty good. The sushi choices are limited and they don't use sushi rice, but the tuna and salmon sushi are worth a try. Okay, overall we really like/liked Crazy Buffet. Been regulars now for a few years and was satisfied. Until dinner time last night. I went over and took my usual generous servings of Terriyaki beef and sat down. I soon discovered that each and every piece was RAW inside. I summoned (I think it was one of the owners) and showed it to her. She smiled and said 'oh yes it is raw', picked up my plate and told me to 'go find something else'. HUH? That's all I wanted!! So I sat there sipping my hot tea and thought maybe she'll come over and say that the beef was okay now; but she never did. My spouse ate and here comes the check - FULL PRICE for BOTH of us!!! All I had was my tea. I told her I didn't eat anything and she just smiled and said, 'yes, sorry' and walked away. On another note, this place used to pipe in some real nice Christian music for quite a while UNTIL we noticed it was back to Chinese music again. We mentioned it to them and was told that 'someone complained about Christian music' so they removed it! Just thought I'd share this with you. read more

I come here often when I'm in Evansville. The food is delicious and the variety is good for families with picky eaters. My favorite dishes are the red bean bun and their teriyaki meat selection. Service is usually good and food is usually put out fresh. read more

Food was good but the waitress was awful....when I go eat Chinese food I always get a little bowl to put things I don't eat into like wooden stick from the chicken teriyaki the waitress tried to take my bowl and I told here no and well when I asked for a refill she gave me a crappy tasting soda and I believe she did it on purpose she had an attitude for the rest of the time I was there....I asked another waitress to hep me but she made sure the rude one did like she was afraid of her....this girl was an awful waitress I mean geez and changed my review to a 4 from a two because other wait staff did a good job however the one bad waitress is still there .... food is very good read more

I was in Evansville, IN on Business. I went to the Crazy Buffet earlier this week. My mistake is that I am a sushi fan. Sushi was subpar at best. The other items on the buffet were not up to par compared to a local Asian Buffet. read more

I haven't been to this restaurant in a few years, but thought I'd give them another try....bad mistake. The food not only looked old, but it was cold. I understand that you're not going to get the freshest food at a buffet, but this had obviously been sitting for hours. Great selection of buffet food! Only downsides to my visit were how some of the food wasn't out and not brought out during our visit and how our waitress was kind of rushing me and my guest I was eating with. We wouldn't even be half done with our drinks and she'd interrupt our conversation by asking for a refill even though we didn't need it for a good while. when i was down here visiting a friend i ate here a few times and its got selection albeit the food seemed warmed over and stale as in most buffets where there isnt a heavy turn over.. i didnt have a problem with what i had but seemed like the other guests didnt seem to eat more of the variety at least from what i noticed and being a chef/cook well buffet eating can be tricky but i enjoyed this place! read more

Went there tonight with my dad decent prices waitress was good. But they would bring out the food from the back and it was still cold. The food tasted old and gross ! The water taste like it came strait from the river. We don't go often dew to not liking it but we go once in a blue moon to see if it changes and it never seems to get any better ! read more

I've tried three different Chinese restaurants in town, and each time have been disappointed. Walked into the new Crazy Buffet II on the West side and it was warm, welcoming and clean. Feeling optimistic, I asked the hostess if they did to-go orders, thinking I would need to order from the menu. Instead, she hands me a box and tells me to fill it up with as much as I wanted from the buffet. While the selection was much smaller than the other Chinese Buffet I had been to on Green River, unlike the other place all the trays were full and the food looked fresh. I heaped my box with pot stickers, enormous crab rangoons, sweet and sour chicken and buttered potatoes. As I brought my box to the front I was thinking that I had at least 5 pounds of food, and at $3.99 a pound, I was going to pay a fortune for my meal. It weighed just over a pound and a half! Only $7 for enough food to cover me for two meals. By the time I got to my car I couldn't help myself and pulled out one of the pot stickers to try. They were delicious! Got home and devoured half the box. Everything was perfect! Can't wait to go back again! read more
