Emerson went out of his way to meet us here and give us a tour of his facility. When you walk in you are encapsulated with the strong heavenly aroma of coffee. It's just awesome and I didn't want to leave. Emerson took over his father's business about 4 years ago. He is very knowledgeable and gracious. We resist corporate coffee by all means and prefer to support local businesses instead. Dark roasts are his specialty and they are darker than Acme coffees roasts. We got some French roast and couldn't wait to get home to try it. This has to be the best coffee I've ever had. Full body, smooth and really nutty. It's a little tuff to find. It's behind the house at 169 West Beach St, down a small alley next door to Mercury Metals. There's a list of all the beans roasted here on their web site coffeolroasting.com. They sell to the public here at the roastery and will even deliver locally! They will grind it here if you like too. If you like dark roast coffee then Coffeol is a must!
