Delicious breakfast and friendly service. My husband and I were driving through the area and decided to stop on account of the good reviews. My husband had the breakfast sandwich on a bagel with hash browns while I had the Irish omelet with potatoes and bacon. The food all tastes fresh, is well-seasoned, and is a good size portion. It was busy when we stopped here on a Sunday morning. The people who work here really hustle to get people seated as quickly as possible. First, let me start by stating Craylee's is a top notch choice for breakfast if you are in the Utica area. With family in from out of state for a wedding and searching for a Sunday breakfast spot, we found Craylee's only a short walk from our downtown hotel. Through the large windows walking up, it seemed there may not be enough table room for the eleven of us, as the restaurant was filled with customers. We entered and were warmly greeted. Craylee's staff without a bat of an eyelash pushed two tables together, got an extra chair, grabbed menus and had fresh coffee to fill cups within minutes of entering. I was impressed by how seamlessly this occurred - not one employee seemed rushed although they were clearly very busy. The menu offered a wide array of breakfast choices including carb conscience options. The owner, a very pleasant woman, waited on us. Within a short time, all eleven breakfasts arrived at the same time. Each plate set down looked delicious and from my family's testimony was. The vegetables in the omelettes and frittatas were fresh, breads were tasty, pancakes thick and as large as your face, sausages spiced just right, potatoes cooked and seasoned perfectly and bacon, cooked to my sister-in-law's perfect crispness. Restaurant week of utica #2 check for a dinner breakfast. Overall 3.5/5, service 4.5, environment 4, food 3. I'm probably spoiled by the gourmet brunch in west coast and this still looks like regular dinner food. Two out of the many things on the table i liked: the famous wafflewich and the fried dough. The restaurant week special allows me to try the wafflewich and the vege frittata (half size). The wafflewich was good. Add a bit maple syrup to balance the flavor a bit more. The waffle's sweetness and the savory taste from bacon, ham, and sausage go well together. It was a bit messy to eat though. The hash with it was better than their home fries. The frittata was bland so I had to add salt, pepper, and hot sauce to help me eat it. Mediocre, nothing special. Sir flower ordered meat giambotta. It was HUGE, but neither of us liked it. I suppose with that dish you cannot ask for more. Environment wise, it is better than most old diners. It is neat and modern. First if all, we entered the restaurant and felt very welcomed. We sat and we're immediately met by the waitress who was pleasant. She welcomed us, gave us menus and asked about drinks. Without a doubt, the number one breakfast spot I've tried here in town. So much, I've been back 3 days consecutively lol. That should tell you how good the food and service are. Nice updated interior and plenty of seating for a mid week brunch. Andrea took care of us and she was a sweetheart. But she did bring me the bottom of the pot of coffee. But Low and behold without me knowing replaced it with a new one from a new pot. Way to go Andrea. So I ordered the Reuben and my business partner ordered the hot turkey sandwich with mashed. It was just. A short wait and our food was out. See pictures. Great portions and very tasty and filling. Next the owner Lance came over and asked us how things were. Thank you Yelpers for steering me to this place. Went on a Sunday morning and the place filled up fast. I asked a couple who were leaving if it was any good and they said " great ! and they come every week". The wait staff is super pleasant, and the food is great. I had the vegetable frittata ( see photo ) and I usually do not like to take leftovers home, but I did. The next morning I warmed it up in a frying pan and it was was delish. Loved the link sausages too. Real maple syrup is available, which is a plus for me. I would definitely return. read more

It was my first time here. Got me a steak, eggs, and greens. It also came with home fries and toast. My daughter ordered off the kid's menu egg, sausage and toast. It was all plentiful and I needed a doggie bag afterwards. Everything was delicious. The steak was tender and the greens was just how I liked it, garlicky. Servers were kind and quick. The wafflewich was big, meaty, and satisfying. If we got it again, we would ask for the eggs to be over-medium, because it was missing the ooey-gooeyness. The syrup helped, but it could use its own sauce. The omelett was also big and they did a great job of cooking the veggies into the egg, rather than folding them into it, which a lot of places do. This was a really great choice for breakfast! I have never had greens before this stop, but they were worth it ! Very well cooked and flavorful! We went on a day they had friend dough and the waitress suggested them. I am so glad she did. They were very good! The food is excellent, they have low carb specials that are fantastic - my favorite is Christians special (sausage, bacon, scrambled eggs served over greens with melted cheddar overtop), the place is well decorated, loud and buzzing, I like the energy here, but it can be a tough place to take older folks on a Sunday as it's very loud inside. The service can be a little slow, but always friendly. The owner is always serving as well, and you can tell she's making sure everything is flowing properly behind the scenes - don't be surprised if it takes her an extra minute or two to get back to your table as she is very busy.
