What a lovely staff; kind accommodating and complimentary (thru remarked on how nice I looked for a wedding) . The staff was eager to answer any questions we had . Clean establishment wonderful place to sleep at night after an event. Thank you

Lobby is beautiful and our room was huge and well-appointed. I like the Crabtree and Evelyn toiletry dispensers in the bathroom and the warm cookies on arrival are always appreciated. A few pet peeves: 1. I should have done the check in digitally the night before arrival. I'd reserved a room with two queens because I was travelling with a friend. I'd rejected offers to "upgrade" to a king suite for $12 because we wanted the 2 beds. We arrived at 6pm to find we'd been "upgraded" anyway and the hotel was full so we couldn't have two beds. It was annoying, but not a deal breaker because there was a pull out. 2. Though it was cold outside, it was too warm in the room. No way to open the windows, so we turned on the AC. It would run for a few minutes then crap out. Instructions to reboot above the thermostat made it seem like a consistent problem. Followed the instructions, got it working only to have the same thing happen again and again.

Wow! Just a beautiful, historic hotel in the center of it all. Huge, clean rooms with all the amenities. Easy parking and a top notch restaurant as well. Highly recommended

Stayed here this past weekend with friends for a local hockey game. The interiors are beautiful and the rooms are updated and sleek. The service was phenomenal by front desk staff. They recommended Swifty's bar which we ended up at more than once and thoroughly enjoyed. There's ample parking in their attached outdoor lot with many entrances for optimal convenience. They had their famous warm chocolate chip cookies! There's a bar/restaurant in the lobby but when we went they didn't open until 5pm, closed early in the evening and were closed the next day, so hit or miss. All in all I would definitely recommend this spot and would return!

Tuesday, June 7 to Friday, June 10, 2022 Business trip. This is a beautiful Hilton property. It's clean and very well-maintained. The room (804) was clean and well-maintained. Free outdoor parking is available on the property. All of the employees, except for one, were very friendly, professional, and helpful. I had a very bizarre interaction with one of the employees. I made a manager aware of the experience and I hope she will follow-up with the employee. I'm hopeful that the experience I had with that employee was a misunderstanding on my part, but I don't think it was. Unfortunately, the manager did not ask for my name or contact information so she could follow-up with me and no points were offered either. I probably won't return to this Hilton property again.

Very nice iconic hotel . Check in was slow due to systems errors. Understandable desk staff friendly, room as expected with a few minor issues. Sink drain was very slow and shower faucet dripping. Slept very well quiet. I would definitely recommend hotel.

When it comes to Utica, NY this is probably one of the best options. It's newly remodeled and looks really swanky. The rooms are clean, sharp and comfortable. They aren't overly spacious but certainly big enough. They also have their own parking lot with plenty of space. It's located in the heart of downtown and the surrounding neighborhood could certainly use a new coat of paint so to speak. But it's fine. You have drinking and dining options within walking distance. And if that doesn't suit then they have a restaurant/bar which works just fine. I found it to be a very comfortable place to spend the night.

The foyer.... back in the day Judy Garland sang over the rainbow from the balcony to the people below.. such a beautiful Hotel.

The architecture is beautiful and here is some history to The Hotel. It opened on March 11, 1912.[1] It was originally a 10-story building of fireproof construction with 200 rooms, four dining rooms, a ballroom, an assembly hall, a restaurant for ladies and a grill and cafe for gentlemen. The top three floors were added in 1926, which increased the total number of rooms to 250. Famous guests included: Judy Garland, Mickey Mantle, President Franklin Delano Roosevelt and Mrs. Eleanor Roosevelt, Hopalong Cassidy, Mae West, Bobby Darin, and then current U.S. Vice President Dick Cheney.

Welp when you get relocated due to roaches, i guess it has to be better than we were. We were originally booked at the hampton inn but our stay was cut short due to filth and roaches. After hampton inn relocating us to a second hotel which ended up being overbooked they finally found us a room here....We were in a queen suite which was huge but still not completely up to par with what i know is Hilton standard. The bathroom floor was dirty and the shower was as well. There was disgusting substances on most of the counter tops and nightstands which we cleaned with our own wipes, hair in the sink, and stuff left in the drawers. AC wouldn't cycle at night so the room was at 76 in the morning. I'm still not understanding the gym inside the room but hey whatever floats your boat. Do better Hilton-you have signs everywhere about cleanliness but didn't see that being executed. Bonus star for the warm cookie at check in and Matt who checked us in and was super understanding.

What a beautiful hotel with lots of charm! The lobby is stunning with some of the most gorgeous chandeliers. I'm here for work and decided to stay downtown. There are a ton of restaurants within walking distance. I did eat at the hotel restaurant and really enjoyed my meal. I have one of the suites and it is very spacious and clean. My only complaint it that there is only one small window and the bathroom needs more lighting. Other than that, I have loved my stay so far. The staff has been kind and everything is sparkling.

The Bad: We checked in on a Friday between 5-6 and the staff was not welcoming. They were just "going through the motions" and there was no joy in their work. When we made our way to the room, it was obviously well used and not as clean as we are used to when staying at a Hampton Inn. The carpet was "tired" and looked like it could use a good cleaning. There were smudges on the mirrors, paint peeling from the ceiling in the shower, and a giant cobweb hanging down over the sink in the bathroom. The ugly: Two of the bed pillows (out of 8) where very well loved and did not have any life/support left in them so we called the front desk to get them replaced. The agent we spoke with stated that they do not deliver to the room so we needed to come to the front desk to get replacement pillows. So when I took the pillows to the front desk, I genuinely felt that I was inconveniencing the staff. When I described why I was turning the pillows in, I watched as the staff member that I handed the pillows to openly mocked me as she described my concerns to a fellow staff member. When in Utica, I would avoid this location.

It's less than 5 minutes away from the I90 tollway with Subway, McDonald's, Wendy's fast food restaurants with Delmonico's and Babe's restaurants near by. New Hartford shopping center was about 13 minutes from this location. Check in 0300 PM and Check out 1100 AM. Both processes were kind of an nuisance because they could not find the payment information sent in prior to my arrival. Other than that, the process was quick, and you're given a water bottle upon check in. There is a snack area for purchase located next to the front counter. Chips, candy, ice cream, chocolate, and soda. Across from the snack area, the Holiday Inn provides complimentary cookies or cheese and crackers during the day. Complimentary breakfast is served daily from 0600-1000 AM. As soon as you enter on the left, there is milk, yogurt, and eggs. Next, various kinds of oatmeal and cereal. Then, there are sausage, bacon, biscuit, scrambled eggs, and cheese omelet for the hot foods. The carbohydrates consist of an English, blueberry, and chocolate muffins, wheat and white toasts. The pancake machine works intermittently, but it serves two palm sized pancakes per start button push. Lastly, the sweet goodies are cinnamon rolls with various strudels. Complimentary coffee is always available 24/7 on the other side of the breakfast food. Other amenities in this hotel are pool, computer room, laundry room, and gym. Computer room has free printing in color with two computers available for use. Laundry room is located on the third floor with $1.50 payment in quarters to use washer or dryer. $3.00 for both, which took 50 minutes to do laundry. I can't comment much about the pool and gym. Rooms were great in size. You can ask to change your rooms if you're not pleased with the room you're initially assigned to. Two queen sized beds with TV, mini refrigerator, microwave, and bathroom. Be sure to adjust the temperature dial in the top left back of the refrigerator. I wish they had kitchenettes but none of the hotels in Utica do. Housekeeping did a great job, and I hope they got my little treat I left them. 3 cons: 1-Door key cards would stop working, so I had to go downstairs and renew them every so often. If you have more than one card, then take all of the ones you have at the same time. Otherwise, the other cards you left in your room or wherever will not work because the one you took to renew will deactivate the others. 2-Thin doors or walls. I could hear children yelling and conversations. 3-Not having prior information that was faxed (aforementioned). Overall, the service was terrific with a kind staff. I would stay here again if I'm in town!

I have been accused of breaking a lamp in the room and billed $200 without as much as an email or phone call from them. I travel frequently for work, so the only reason I found out this accusation was due to the inflated bill that didn't reconcile on my business expense report- not that anyone reached out and said " Hey Mr Customer, upon inspection of the room we noticed something wrong and would like to discuss this with you ". I immediately reached out and spoke to a front desk representative who said " yea our inspector is really good and it wasn't broken when they last looked at the room. We also can't prove that it was you, but it is broken." I can't speak for others, but 1. That's not how I was raised and 2.
