Since the service was so expensive, I was seriously disappointed in those results. That said, the initial rodent proofing price included a 1 year guarantee. Premier came back twice to deal with our recurring problem at no additional charge. Each time they were able to identify new ways in which the little monsters were getting into the house and blocked off the access ways. The last time they came out, in addition to the rodent proofing, they suggested I add ornamental rocks to my garden beds as the rats had been digging under the foundation in a particular area. I followed their advice. It's been nearly a year and we have had no further rat incidents to date (crossing my fingers that this remains the case). In all visits, the technician was thoroughly professional and polite. And it was easy to schedule their return visits. Although I was initially disappointed with the results of the service, I have to say that they really came through in the end.

Here are her words from her email to me: "We have 2 separate companies {2 divisions, each one having a specialty} Premier Rodent Proofing specializing in Rodent control and Performance Pest Management specializing in Pest Control {Ants, Fleas, Spiders, etc.} You hired Premier Rodent Proofing in December of 2009 to resolve a Rodent Issue. Our services have a 1 year warranty; it isn't a yearly maintenance contract like Performance Pest Management offers." Katie also apologized about the rude employee and for the cancellation mix-up. She also wrote that they left a quote for the additional work and followed up with me. I do not recall it this way but it is certainly possible they left a quote and it blew away in the wind. Overall I'd like to say that the folks at both divisions all seem like very nice people - it is a small family run business. I don't consider this a bad review - I consider it an average (a-ok) review. I think anyone could easily be happy with their services and should not use my review as a reason not to try them - this is NOT a negative review. He inspected our attics and sent another crew to check the crawl space and confirmed we also had tunneling. After sending us an estimate of the costs, we decided to check with another provider to get a competitive pricing. After reviewing we decided to go with Honest Rodent Proofing, they were clear and detailed in their statement of work and very approachable to discuss our issues. On the service day, unfortunately we had an issue where the estimate was incorrect and they missed the correct sq ft of the house. Sam was able to provide a discount and we were happy to proceed. The crew is a great team, and wanted to thank Fernando, Mario, Josh and others I didn't get their names. They were able to explain what they were doing and why. They cleared all the old insulation in the attic and replaced with new ones. They added traps which luckily caught one of the chaps the next day. However, crawlspaces can get moldy and wet from lack of care. If you ever encounter rodents, there is a good chance they came via the crawlspace. We basically went for a full package of rodent control, cleaning, and installing a new vapor shield to keep it dry. The while job took maybe 2.5 days with a crew of 3 workers each day. Outstanding quality work. First phase was sealing up the homes around the house and crawlspace, and laying traps. The attic was inspected too. This was followed up with weekly followups to ensure no more rodents. This scope was subcontracted to Golden State Critter Control. Highly recommend working with Greg. The next two phases involve cleaning and eventually reinstallation of the vapor shield. Compared to what we had before, it was day and night! I also appreciated the crew alerting me to a leaky drain pipe. I later worked with a plumber to replace a cracked 3"D drain pipe that connected upstairs to downstairs.
