Best Ice Cream Shop in the area, still needs work…read more This place has popped up on my radar as a roll place to give a try. So after a dinner we came to this place to give them a try. The place is pretty sparse on decoration, opting for paint splatters around the entire location. Which is fine, it's an ice cream shop so it needs to be fun. There was a staff of about 3-4 people manning the front, so plenty of people to help us along. Menu was on the wall facing away from the front desk area, which is weird. But I took a look, ordered a cookie monster, and waited for the rolls. Another little bit of weirdness. the anti-griddles were by the register, but hidden behind the toppings. You really couldn't watch the person go to town to make your roll. Part of the fun is being able to watch your ordering person go through and make the ice cream right in front of you. A missed opportunity with all the toppings and stuff blocking the view. Lastly, and this is the weirdest decision out of all of them, they used a generic soft serve base for the roll. If it wasn't soft serve base, they used some pre-sugared heavy whipping cream. It probably made the workers job easier to make the rolls, but it kind of lead to this overly sugary ice cream with a clumpy, waxy mouthfeel. As a man who likes his sweets, it was almost too much sugar to deal with. The price is okay, about average for this style of ice cream. The lack of "show", the sugary thick base, and the small cups that don't get filled all the way with rolled ice cream makes this feel not as great of a purchase. These problems are all solvable fairly easily. Add a menu to behind the register, get more areas to stash the candies and mix-ins. Open the windows to the griddle and invite patrons to watch their ice cream come to life, and switch out the soft serve base for either some straight up whole milk or a milk and cream mix. This may up the complexity of making said rolled ice cream, but it'll be better received and will be a fresher product than shelf-stable mixes. If you haven't tried a roll before, or you really want ice cream, this place is worth a try. There are better ice cream places if you travel, and I have had pretty good rolls at other locations. It works for where it is

Does anyone ever look at the stores down Main St in Manchester? You really need to look close…read morebecause tucked away serving fun rolled ice cream is Creamy Rolls! Walk inside this hole in the wall, take in the colorful design and fun atmosphere, and toil over which flavors you want to indulge in. I got the Monkey'n Around (banana and Nutella with walnuts) and in about 5 minutes, I got my ice cream roll fix. Everything costs about $9, and each cup has 4 rolls on it. I will say that in comparison to other places I've been, the serving size here is smaller, but the price is higher. I'll be back because my kids enjoyed the experience, though I may skip to save me a tenner.

They have quite the range of flavors, Vanilla, coffee, strawberry, chocolate, cherry almost chip, banana chip, mint chip, mango coconut, peanut butter and pineapple coconut. I recommend making it a sundae... that's how I like to eat ice cream. I love the fudge...the nuts... the fruit, the cake...basically the whole nine yards. The bigger the better.. more value for your buck. A single scoop sundae is $5.50 vs a split that's about $8.50 ish. The fudge reminded me of "corner house" back home where I frequently ate as a kid. Soil definitely biased coz of that. Do stop by this summer to still your craving!!

A stop on the way back to UCONN when I was a student there. The "go to" place after our kids' school events. Shortly after we moved to Manchester, over 38 years ago, the restaurant was closed for renovations. We were looking forward to seeing the revamped restaurant. Well, we were even more surprised when we stepped in the door - nothing had changed! Cleaner, perhaps new Naugahyde on the seats, but that mural on the wall was the same - those elves were timeless. When you sit down, you get a small paper cup of water. The menus are on the the wall - soups, sandwiches & ice cream. I'd always heard they had a patent on the way their cheeseburgers were made - a burger topped with crispy cheese. A must have. Prior to Covid, the condiments tray had ketchup, mustard & chopped onions. Now, there are packets of the condiments. No onions though. We shared an order of fries - crispy & good. I was too full to have ice cream after our meal, so we brought a half gallon (yes - a real half gallon) of our favorite flavor home - chocolate almond joy. Yum! Note - you need cash. No cards. There is an ATM in the restaurant.

Since it's a popular choice, expect crowds til late afternoon for lunch. I didn't notice their breakfast menu among those posted on the walls, but apparently it is served til 11am. As for lunch, the cole slaw is surprisingly superior to most if not all other diners/cafes. Though prices have increased with inflation, still a great value and more competitive than many other comparable places in the state. Furthermore, the consistent taste and nostalgic ambiance are all still intact. Main offerings are between-bread - i.e., sandwiches, so limited options if you have dietary restrictions like having to eat gluten-free (soups contain gluten; I didn't ask if any of the platters could be made GF though), but their iconic fried cheese is still available as an a la carte side. Ice cream flavors include seasonal highlights like pumpkin chocolate chip, and their shakes are generous and delicious. I recommend asking what additional flavors they have available that are not listed on the wall menu. If there are kids in your party, be sure to look out for the table placard with the Children's Menu; the kids in our group enjoyed the chicken platter which included fries, a drink, and 2 substantial breaded chicken fillets.

"You need bread, try the bakery You need lovin', look here,…read morebaby I got just what you need" (The Doors) Well, whatever your needs might be, you'll probably take care of it at Giuseppina's Italian Bakery, because they really do have it all. Their website, counters, shelves, and showcases offer you temptations everywhere you look. Want a pastry? What kind of a question is that....sure you do, so how on Earth are you going to choose between these? Cannoli, Tiramisu, 3 kinds of mousse, eclairs, frosted or plain brownies (are you bold enough to get a brownie with peanut butter buttercream frosting?), cream horns, rum rolls, an amazing peach concoction of sweet dough soaked with peach juice and rum and filled with vanilla pudding (!), Sfogliatelle, Zeppol, cream puffs, NY style cheesecake, fruit slices (peaches and strawberries with whipped cream layers and frosting), pasticiotti, cappuccino slices, Amaretto Squares, Limoncello Cake Slices and Chocolate Brownie Cake Slices. And there's more - miniature pastries, Cheese danish, apple, raspberry and blueberry turnovers, Cranberry Orange scones, blueberry scones, chive scones, and roasted red pepper scones, lemon and cherry squares. Get the picture? And I haven't mentioned their Italian cookies, 25 cake varieties, cupcakes, cake pops, pizza slices, sandwiches and stuffed breads. The truth is, this place is fantastic and is clearly in the top ten percent of Italian bakeries we've visited. We picked up an assortment of cake slices, a croissant, a scone, and a donut yesterday. They all looked amazing! We started off splitting that donut, and it was great -very light, not too sweet and just plain delicious. Shout out to the young lady who waited on us, she was pleasant and friendly, and our interaction was a far contrast to some of the less than favorable interactions reported by other Yelpers. PRO TIP 1) Don't worry about parking- they're in a shopping center with plenty of parking. 2) How good does their fig, prosciutto and Asiago cheese stuffed bread sound?
