Exceptional! I highly recommend this place! The owner, Lori, is a beautiful woman with warm welcoming energy. The little shop is full of warmth. I had three of their cupcakes, and they were amazing! Don't miss the Nutella cupcake! Lori learned all the recipes from her grandmothers and mother. The cupcakes were moist and fresh, the frosting and topping just perfect! Don't miss this gem even if you have to drive a little bit to get here! Oh, and ask Lori to show you the family cookbook she made with her mother. Very special place! read more

When you want something truly exceptional - artful, thoughtfully designed, and as tasty as it is beautiful - Sassy Mama delivers. I was looking for a stunning and delicious cake for my mom's 80th birthday, and I was absolutely delighted with the result. From the moment I walked into the shop, I knew I was in the right place. Lori greeted me warmly and generously took the time to talk through exactly what I was hoping for. It was such a refreshing change from the usual "hurry up" and "good enough" experience I often encounter when searching for something that matters deeply to me, even if it may not seem as significant to the person helping. Lori was attentive to every detail in the most efficient way. She guided me through decisions without ever being pushy, offered recommendations that were perfectly suited to my needs, and ultimately created one of the most beautiful - and most delicious - cakes I've ever had. She also packaged it carefully for the three-hour drive to New Jersey and thoughtfully accounted for potential January weather complications ahead of the party. My mother was truly blown away by the piano keyboard and hydrangea flower decorations, and our guests raved about the chocolate raspberry buttercream cake, as well as the salted caramel and vanilla cupcakes. Thank you, Lori, for an exceptional bakery experience at every level. read more

Cake was amazing and with short notice had it make few hours same day and the bakery item where delicious as well got a few to go

Several years later. . . the cupcakes aren't nearly as Sassy as they used to be. They are smaller, there is less frosting, and the cake part are as dry as sawdust. I bought them for the first time in a long time and they aren't and/or weren't what they were. Very disappointed to serve to Thanksgiving guests. Won't buy them again. So sad to see the quality decline so precipitously. Sad, sad, sad. read more

They were able to squeeze in my order at the last minute and put together an AMAZING custom cake after just a 15 minute phone conversation! They even delivered the cake the next night! Needless to say the cake was a huge hit! Not only did they say YES when everyone else said no, they rocked it! Came here yesterday and was greeted by Sassy Mama, the owner of the shop. She was on the phone when I came in which gave me time to check out all the sweet treats ranging from bars to cupcakes to canollis. In no rush she and I had a pleasant conversation about her favorite treats since I was new to the business. Had also asked about birthday cakes torn for my boyfriend's birthday to get a nurse, stitch or puppy cake for him. She walked me through the process which I'll have to put more thought into. Saw the check in offer after she had left to grab my chocolate cupcake topped with a buttercream pumpkin frosting that was not overtly sweet with white and milk chocolate chips and I could have grabbed the mini canollis. Ended up walking out with a business card, a free cupcake and a smile knowing that I'll definitely be back for a treat or that cake from Sassy Mama! read more

The cakes were beautiful just as we imagined them to be, presentation wise the cakes were amazing but when it came time to eat the cakes the cake was extremely hard and seemed nearly tasteless, the buttercream icing and fillings didnt taste anywhere near what they were expected to taste like and it was just a big disappointment due to the fact that we spent 130$... i have to give them one star read more

We had a backyard Halloween socially distanced wedding and at the last minute, my grandmother decided it wasn't a wedding without a cake. My husband and I never planned on having one, but she insisted. So the Wednesday before I called in and I really had no idea what to get/what we wanted or how to decorate! The ladies there offered some excellent suggestions, I told them to make it simple, not too sweet frosting, and they came up with a beautiful, perfect cake for the day. Vanilla with cookie dough filling and chocolate with peanut butter mousse? Amazing! Happy to say we were able to save two slices for our anniversary, but the rest? GONE!!! Everyone loved it. Excellent job and thank you for helping out in a pinch! read more

Soooooo glad I found this bakery on Yelp. Ordering over the phone was a breeze and they delivered the next day before 12pm as discussed. According to the bday boy their cupcakes are pretty good so I'm glad I went with them. A dozen assortment was $25 and delivery $20. I'll definitely check this place out when I'm in CT next. Only minor thing was that the lady said she'll text me after she delivers the cupcake which didn't happened. Happy bday boy, happy me! read more

Another great experience here! Stopped in to place a cupcake order for my kids daycare on Valentines Day. Of course once I was in there I couldn't leave empty handed. I had mentioned on her FB page I was seriously in the mood for something brownie/salted caramel/a billion calories. Low & behold I walk in and she's finishing up chocolate cake/brownie/ganache/salted caramel/buttercreamy goodness. Whatever it was took me three servings to eat and was delicious. Then I grabbed a thing out of the fridge thinking it was carrot cake. Turned out to be some carrot cake dip thing, but I was like eh, let the boys give it a shot (carrot cake is their favorite). RAVE reviews all over my house last night and usually I can't even get my dad to try stuff like that! Home made sugar chips to go with it! And to top it all off she even made me little containers of cannoli cream for my mom who just had surgery and can't chew. I can't say it enough times, YOU MUST TRY THIS PLACE! read more

Super impressed!!! Lori & Alexis were professional, helpful, suggestive, speedy, friendly and did I mention- beautiful ladies, inside and out. I was a walk-in and immediately greeted with a smile and asked how I could be helped. They hooked me up with unique/creative cupcakes with flavors you can't find anywhere else in the area. My co-workers fought over who would get each cupcake! They also have other goodies like notoriously famous rice crispy treats, pizelle, hand-decorated cookies and more. 10/10 recommend...I will definitely be back to order sweets for all future events read more

This place has everything I want in a bakery - responsive customer service, reasonable prices, beautiful product, and of course a delicious cake. We ordered a cake for our daughter's first birthday from here. I told them the flavors I wanted (btw, they say they can make pretty much anything you can think of - there are no limits - love that!) and that the theme of the party was daffodils/yellow-white-green. The end result was a beautiful cake with a little smash cake on top and extremely detailed daffodils, and everyone could not stop raving about how yummy it was.
