He fixed the light above our kitchen sink that hadn't worked for a long time. And the light in our refrigerator was acting like a strobe light. He placed some tape over the button that controls that light so now the light doesn't go on when we open the fridge but I'm glad that the flickering has stopped! Also, he noticed that the kitchen faucet had a weak water flow on the "stream" setting. He told me what to do to get it back to normal. I really appreciated that help. I was tired of having to use the "spray" setting all the time. Overall I'm very happy with the work Minde did and also happy with his fee. He's friendly, respectful of my home and he's very adept at fixing things! He's really popular/busy so I'm glad that I waited for him to be available. Thank you Minde!

Victor White really did a fantastic job for us…read more He installed a new kitchen faucet for us, but has done at least 15 installs in our house over the years. He is polite, always on time, and always very fair and reasonable in his pricing. He is also the most technically competent handyman we have ever used, which is why we will always wait until he becomes available rather than going with someone else. I cannot recommend him enough!

We recommend Handyman Victor White without reservation. He is wonderful at what he does. His first…read moreproject for us was a very heavy bathroom door, which had literally become unhinged, and which I was not sure Victor could lift by himself. But, he successfully finished the job in a very short period of time to our complete satisfaction. Next, we had a storage shed on which the roof had not been properly or securely installed, which resulted in significant water damage to the shed contents when it rained. Victor was able to secure the roof to the shed so that we had no further damage, come rain or shine. More recently, he installed a new sink and medicine cabinet in one of our downstairs bathrooms. Some of the piping and fittings that came with the new sink did not work with our existing piping, and Victor went out and purchased the necessary replacements in order for him to finish the job in an expeditious and professional manner. Victor is the best!

I received a text message on the day of that was ambiguous about the time, so I called and verified that our appointment was at 1pm because we had another appointment to get to at 2:30. The person I spoke with confirmed that our estimator, Jose, would indeed be there between 1:00 and 1:15 pm as he would be coming straight from lunch and not another appointment. At 1:45 p.m., Jose was a no-call, no-show. Very disappointing. We will not be rescheduling. I would not recommend working with a firm that does not respect a customer's time.

We hired Jereme and his team at builder boy to be the GC on our extensive remodel pictured below…read more We had him do most everything on job which included gutting the structure down to the studs, reconfiguring the floor plan, adding structural reinforcements to create an open floor plan, re-wiring and plumbing the 5 unit complex, insulating it, installing shear paneling, stucco from scratch, and all the finish work. His professionalism, communication, and timeliness was refreshing in this day and age. Considering the high demand for general contractors today and the price gouging going on due to the low supply we were ecstatic to be able to find a GC who was able to provide high-quality customer service and an exceptional finished product. Our family would like to thank Jereme and the builder boy family for all their hard work and dedication to the job. I know we kept changing plans, finishes, and pretty much everything on you guys constantly but you kept your cool and never complained. Thank you again and we look forward to using your services again in the future.

SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL CRAFSTMAN AND YOUR LOCAL BUSINESSES!…read more I'm so glad the big box stores did not have what my wife wanted out of a formal dining room table, because I looked around for someone who could make something custom and found Boris! I sent an email out with the general spec and design, along with a photo of something similar to what we were looking for. He knew exactly what he was going to make, recommended wood to use for the table, and gave a clear quote for the work. Very professional communication with clear explanation. I kicked off the order quickly with a deposit, got a sketch to confirm the intended design with my wife (everything checked out) and a couple of weeks later got a confirmation on the color of the stain. We were looking to get the table before relatives were coming over internationally to visit us in our new house, and he delivered there as well! Finished piece was delivered a week ahead of our relatives showing up, and when my wife saw the table for the first time she said it was exactly what she was looking for! I am happy because I wanted a solid wood table with character. Boris took an email request and photo and created exactly what my wife was looking for on budget and ahead of schedule! He had a great attitude the entire time. I wish everyone I worked with could deliver like Boris!

It's worth the extra money because you can get the piece you imagine made rather than trying to fit big box store furniture into your home. Boris is great at working with you until you get exactly what you want. A pleasure to work with every time. We had a vision, and Mike brought it to life!…read more We've tackled our fair share of remodel projects over the years, but nothing quite prepared us for the leap into a complete, ground-up ADU build. We knew this wasn't a project to hand off to just anyone, we needed a true expert, someone who could steer us through every twist and turn with confidence. That's exactly what we found in Mike. From our very first meeting, Mike had a calm, reassuring presence that told us we were in good hands. He listened closely to our vision, asked the right questions, and laid out a clear path forward that immediately put our minds at ease. And trust us, our minds needed easing, we came to him with a steady stream of nervous, sometimes repetitive questions, and he never once made us feel like a burden. He answered every single one with patience, warmth, and genuine reassurance. Communication was a true highlight of working with Mike. He kept us updated at every stage, so we always knew exactly where things stood. What could have been an incredibly stressful, all-consuming process instead felt manageable, even exciting. He also took the reins on coordinating with city inspectors throughout the entire build, handling all the back-and-forth so we didn't have to lift a finger. That alone lifted a massive weight off our shoulders. And the icing on the cake? He finished the entire project ahead of the estimated timeline, without ever cutting corners on quality or care. If you're on the fence about a big build like this, let us save you the trouble: call Mike. He turned what could have been an overwhelming experience into one we're genuinely grateful for, and the final result speaks for itself. We couldn't recommend him more highly.

I reached out to MDM back in early 2025 and met with Mike right away so he could look at my…read moreproperty and walk me through what my wife and I wanted for our project. Throughout the entire process, Mike was very professional and the level of expertise he exhibited was obvious. Before Mike, I had met with 3 other contractors to compare services and quotes but what sealed the deal for me was the 3D render service Mike offered. It was affordable and it would be free if you end up going with MDM for your remodel. Mike was able to get the renderings to me very quickly and made adjustments whenever we wanted to change something. Seeing the details of the renderings really brought what we were envisioning to life and helped with the design process. Fast forward to beginning of demo/construction, Mike's employees were impressively fast and efficient at their jobs, but what really impressed me was how clean they kept our property after each day of work. And that stated true throughout the entire process of our 7 month renovation. During construction, if there were any last minute changes, Mike would always try to cater to our needs whenever possible. Even if subcontractors made mistakes with anything, Mike would make sure it is fixed and perfect right away. Keep in mind, you can't rely on Mike for everything (as much as you might want to). You really do have to do your research (in terms of design, finishing materials, sourcing those materials, and getting them delivered on time) and know exactly what you want and how you want it, that way, Mike can plan and put into action what needs to be done. After this entire process, we are extremely happy we got this project completed with MDM. What really sets them apart is the quality of work, dependability, and the great people that work for MDM. Shoutout to Mario! They really respected our home and were very considerate of us during construction. Even after everything was finished, they guaranteed that they would come back and fix anything that needed fixing. Cannot recommend them enough if you want to improve or build your new home!

Where is the 10-star button?!? I cannot recommend Max highly enough. After firing the design…read morebuilder I originally engaged, Max stepped in to complete a full remodel of our little HB cottage. What was once a tired and dated 2-bedroom house is now an adorably modern and expansive 1-bedroom, complete with spa-like bathroom and vaulted ceilings. Throughout the process, Max was responsive and transparent, and was regularly onsite to supervise his subs. He was happy to provide input but also happy to let me make my own choices and decisions. Unbelievably, the project came in on time and on budget.

Our electric cooktop and hood broke many months ago, and we thought that replacing it with a gas…read morecooktop and new hood would be straightforward. It turns out that was not true. One plumber could install a gas line only, another plumber could install a gas line and the gas cooktop but not the hood, and an appliance installation technician could not install the cooktop because he could not cut into the existing granite top. So I found Max of MRI Construction and Remodeling on Yelp, and he said that he could do the work within that original scope -- cooktop, hood, and gas line -- but that we should anticipate a backup plan in case the granite cracked during installation. Because we plan to live in this house for as long as possible, we decided to go through a full kitchen renovation. We had a prior experience with another general contractor who was impossible to get a hold of and who could not ensure the quality of the subcontractors he hired, and interviewed another general contractor who gave us the impression that we would have to engage with suppliers and subcontractors more than seemed feasible. We are happy to say that we just finished our kitchen renovation last week! And it was finished a week earlier than scheduled. We are thankful to Max and his team of subcontractors! We are really happy with the final kitchen, given how much we cook at home. And surprisingly the process was easy despite its size and time of 6 weeks. Max has the strengths and qualities you want for your construction projects: he's incredibly responsive, honest and communicative, and willing and able to troubleshoot issues that come up, as they invariably do, both small and large. He makes recommendations if you ask and gives you options for decisions for which there are too many options. He works with an amazing group of subcontractors who are experts in their craft. There was an exception with one subcontractor but Max was able to get that course-corrected so that the project finished strong. We appreciate his integrity and his willingness to ensure that the project meets your needs and expectations. We are grateful that we found Max on Yelp and for being able to work with him on a kitchen that we love and also within budget!! Thank you, Max and MRI Construction!!
